Sequel Chapter 62

Book:The Dominant Alpha (Series) Published:2025-3-10

Ian’s POV:
“It looks like I’ll always be in the damn office,” I complained.
“My love,” Amelia whispered softly.
I looked at her seriously, then shifted my gaze to Roman and Astrid, who were sitting on the couch, looking at us.
“Little one, won’t you let your parents rest for a little while?” I asked seriously.
Since coming back from the coven, Amelia and I couldn’t have sex because we were usually entertaining some pack members or having unnecessary meetings in my office.
“No, father, there is something important I want to tell you,” she answered.
“That’s good because there is something that your father and I want to tell you too,” Amelia said.
“Okay, you can go first, If that’s okay with both of you,” Astrid asked.
“Yes,” Amelia answered.
“Alright, so Roman, I want to know what your plans are. You betrayed us on that side. My pack and I can’t seem to fully welcome you,” I said as Astrid smiled.
“Father….”
He raised his hand, stopping her.
He stood up, looking at us coldly, then bowed low, surprising me and Amelia.
“I’m truly sorry for my reckless behavior. I was selfish and only thought of myself. I acknowledge that you only allowed Garren to see our mate, and me being here is not welcoming. But if you can allow me to go back with my mate, I’ll forever be grateful to you,” he said as I looked at Amelia.
When Astrid mind-linked me that she wanted to see us, I was so happy and decided to meet her in my office. But when my eyes landed on Roman, I became furious. If not for Amelia stopping me in time from reacting, I could have hit him.
What he did on that side was still playing in my mind, but then again, I didn’t want my little girl to hate me for separating her from him.
“My love, we talked about this,” Amelia mind-linked me.
“Astrid, is Roxanne okay with you leaving our pack?” I asked seriously.
“Yes, father, we want to live with him in his castle,” she answered.
“The castle? As in the coven castle?” I asked.
“No, his castle,” she answered.
“Roman, look up,” Amelia ordered, and he did.
“Ian and I had a talk about a lot of things and came to a conclusion. We will allow you to go with her, but on one condition,” she said.
“Anything,” he answered quickly, and that seemed to surprise Astrid.
“When you go back, you will have to take over and become the council itself. With a very powerful witch and an Alpha queen by your side, you will become invisible, and no one will dare go against you. A lot of the vampires have pride, and it won’t take long for them to go on a killing spree, be it of packs or other territories, but if you take over, it will be like putting a leash on their necks,” she said.
He looked at Astrid, who was looking at him with a pleading expression.
“Fine, I’ll do it if it means I’ll be with her,” he answered when he looked at us.
“Good. After you settle down, how about making an alliance with our pack as your official apology? That way, our borders will be open to you, and yours will be open to us,” I asked.
“Aren’t you guys demanding a little too much?” he asked.
“Roman, please,” Astrid pleaded.
He sat down and grabbed her hand, linking it to his.
“Fine, but that’s the last thing I’ll agree on. The coven elders are dead, so it will be hard to get the vampires under my rule. I’ll have to spill blood and exercise my full dominance, so the alliance will have to wait for a while,” he answered as I smiled.
“Okay,” I agreed softly.
“Honey, before you leave the pack, how about you let Roxanne take over? She has to say goodbye to everyone. Kyle will feel bad, but I’m sure he will be happy for the both of you deep down,” Amelia said sadly, then moved closer and knelt right in front of her.
“Make me proud, little warrior,” she whispered.
Aurora was the only one who called her that. And Astrid called her Mami, while she referred to Amelia as mother.
“Thank you, Mami. I’ll rule wisely beside my mate,” Astrid answered, then moved forward and embraced her.
“Would you like to say goodbye too?” I asked Axel.
I was pushed back without a word as he took over. He stood up from the seat and walked to where they were, wrapping his arms around them.
We worked hard to raise our daughter in a loving way. No matter how strong she has become or that she was mated, to us she was still a little pup we loved.
When he pulled back, he looked at Roman, who gave a low bow.
“Hurt her in any way, and I’ll find a way to slaughter you and your witch, I swear,” he warned.
“Pa!” Astrid exclaimed loudly.
He smiled warmly at her, then stood upright and extended his hand to Aurora, who took it and stood up as well.
“No starting fights with Vision’s boy, no matter what. Say your goodbyes in peace and keep in mind we are one family,” Axel said, then walked back to the desk.
He pulled the chair slightly back for Aurora to sit on. When she did, he pointed at the door.
“Can you both leave now? I want to spend some time with my woman,” he said calmly.
They both stood up and walked out of the room.
He grabbed the chair and turned it his way with a grin.
“Now that we are both in control, how about spending an amazing time together?” he asked.
Before Aurora could respond, the door opened and Kyle walked in.
“Father, did you talk to Garren about everything?” he asked, as Axel let out a low growl.
“Out now!” he yelled, as Kyle raised his hands in a form of surrender.
“Jeez, Dad, I had no idea it was you in control,” he said.
“And what does that mean?” he asked with a raised brow.
“You never hear anything out when you don’t want to, unlike Father,” he muttered.
He walked to him and stood in front of him, tapping his finger against his forehead.
“How about we have a friendly match in the training field?” he asked, as his face lit up.
“Are you serious!” he exclaimed.
“I am,” he answered.
“Yes,” Kyle said happily, then quickly rushed out.
He walked to Aurora and stood in front of her, leaning in.
“How about we make it quick?” he asked, as she smiled, then wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
“Quick won’t cut it,” she answered, then crushed her lips against his as he kissed her back.
