Sequel Chapter 23

Book:The Dominant Alpha (Series) Published:2025-3-10

Neo’s POV:
I was very nervous as the pack came into view. For hours we had been driving and we were all preparing ourselves for anything that would come our way.
Calling the Alpha of the pack was a good idea, but if we did he wouldn’t have accepted to see us. That’s why we had decided to go in without informing him and that was a risk we were all taking. Trespassing or stepping on the grounds of another Alpha’s territory meant either war or death but we really wanted his help.
When we crossed the pack’s border I noticed a few warriors hiding in the bushes on each side. They were definitely waiting for their Alpha’s orders.
“Oh wow,” Toni whispered beside me when the pack house came into view.
“It’s magnificent isn’t It?” Lee asked at the back seat.
“For a pack house it definitely is,” Whiteny who sat next to Lee responded.
Since our discussion back at Felix’s house, we had no time to waste so we packed a few things that we would need and got into our cars then started off.
The journey was long as expected and I exchanged the drivers wheel a few times with Toni but seeing that pack house made me a little relieved because we were finally at our needed destination.
“Amazing,” Toni said in amazement the closer we got.
Ian’s pack house was also amazing and impressive, but just not like this one was.
“I hope it won’t get messy,” Whitney whispered in a worried tone.
“It won’t,” Lee answered with a smile assuring her.
I was getting nervous just by looking at the warriors who stood outside the pack house.
A very well built man stood between them and his stance was that of a man ready to fight. He had a mask covering half of his face and that made him look very intimidating.
I parked my car a few meters from them and then slowly stepped out of the car as Toni, Whitney and Lee did the same.
Ian parked right behind us and came out with Aurora, Chase and Felix.
Ian walked to where I was and nodded.
I knew there and then that he was going to try and talk to the masked man.
We all stood in place when he approached the man.
“Hi, I’m sorry for intruding into your territory without calling you first or asking you for your permission,” He said then extended his hand to the side as Aurora moved closer and grabbed it.
The warriors gasped loudly while some took a few steps back.
“This here is Aurora my mate,” he introduced.
The man in the mask took a few steps forward and looked at us as if checking if we were still in place.
“I’m Alpha Damon,” he answered, then looked at Ian.
“By chance, are you Ian who was married to Sherry?” He asked calmly as I felt goosebumps appear on my skin.
The pheromones being emitted by him were that of a furious Alpha.
“Yes, I am,” Ian answered, then groaned loudly when a punch landed on his face that made him stumble a bit.
I was about to move when he raised his hand stopping me in my tracks.
“Ouch,” he whispered as he leaned in forward and touched his face.
He was about to stand upright when he received a kick that sent him flying to where we were.
The man was very well trained but at the same time Ian was letting him throw those hits deliberately and Aurora seemed to understand.
He was about to move when Aurora stood in his way.
“You are entitled to two hits only. Go beyond that and you will have to deal with me,” she threatened seriously as Alpha Damon glared at her.
Ian stood up from the ground and slowly walked to Aurora’s side without dusting his dirty clothes.
“If you are not here for war then leave my pack while I’m asking you nicely, because blood will spill miss Alpha queen,” he said coldly then looked at me.
“I advise you to hurry up too before I snap,” he muttered softly then turned to go back in.
“Please,” Aurora whispered in a cracked voice and in an instance Alpha Damon stopped walking.
“My daughter was kidnapped and I don’t know who to turn to or ask for help,” she said sadly.
“Amelia,” Ian whispered softly then linked his hand to hers.
We all could smell the scent of her tears. It was definitely Amelia in full control.
The man turned and looked at us seriously.
“Let me make this clear to you Alpha queen. I won’t help you in any way. Not after how your pack hurt my Luna. If you want you can try and compel us to do what you want but we are prepared because we would rather die than help the likes of you in any….”
He cut his sentence short as murmurs broke between his warriors when Ian knelt down on his knees.
“Ian!” Amelia called loudly.
It was unheard of and nearly impossible for an Alpha to kneel down. But Ian was doing that to show him how he was throwing away his pride for his help.
“If you have your own pups I’m sure you know how hard it is to be a parent. But also how beautiful it is to be by their side and watch over them day by day,” Ian said in a low tone then continued.
“Protecting them comes from instinct and love because you would do all you can to see them safe. But imagine losing them just like that in a blink of an eye?” He whispered in a cracked voice.
“Ian,” Amelia called, this time it was in a comfort tone.
“I blame myself day and night for not being there when she needed me the most in her crucial moment and if there was a way I would willingly trade places with her,” he said as I swallowed hard. His words were getting hard on me.
“If you want to hit or kill me I’ll gladly accept my fate, just please help us bring her back home. She’s probably scared and alone,” he said.
“Honey, please,” Sherry’s voice came from the door’s entrance.
She walked forward with two teenage pups holding her hands on each side. They looked alike to each other although one was a boy and the other a girl.
“Sherry what are you doing here, didn’t I tell you not to come out?” Damon asked in concern.
She looked different from what I remembered.
She gained weight and her hair color was different. She had a blindfold tied around her head and the clothes she was wearing looked expensive.
“As Luna of this pack and mother of your children my place is by your side,” she answered, shocking me.
She was the sherry I knew, but hearing her words made me wonder if I truly knew her.
“Fine, but we are not helping….”
“You will help Ian. As a parent you understand well what he was telling you. If any of our twins went missing and he was the only one capable of helping us we would have been at his pack begging for help too!” She said strongly as Damon kept quiet.
“I forgave him a long time ago and you should be able to do the same. Moreover they aren’t here as Alphas but parents. I have heard enough and I know that they truly are speaking from their hearts. So help them,” the said as Damon clenched his hands in fists.
Sherry was about to go down to her knees when Damon ran to her side stopping her.
“Mother,” the twins called together.
“If you can’t help them then I’ll kneel until you have a change of heart,” she said loudly.
“No, you don’t have to do that. We will help them,” Damon said seriously then glanced at us coldly.
“You should thank my wife for her kind heart,” he said and then looked at a tall man who was a Beta.
“Alec, show them to my office,” he ordered, then swept Sherry off of her feet and went with her into the pack house.
