All grown up

Book:Mated To My Alpha Brother Published:2025-3-10

Eighteen Years later….
It was a busy morning in the Waterfall pack house, as servants amassed in their numbers finishing up their appointed tasks.
The pack members have been preparing for this day, it was a joyous occasion and everybody desired to be part of it.
Over the years Waterfall has grown beyond recognition, both in population and finance. The foundation set up by the Alpha and his mate; where they recruit Werewolves in need of shelters, has thrived into one of the fastest growing investments in the history of the pack.
“Are the boys still asleep?”
“I doubt they are even in their rooms.”
Macy and her husband Liam conversed while helping out with the decorations, today was a special occasion for the family.
Tonight Waterfall commemorates the 100th anniversary of the annual festivals often celebrated in the pack. It was a massive celebration with numerous invitees from across the globe attending.
“Hi Mom, hi Dad.” Mara walked in planting kisses on her parents’ cheeks before going on to assist them.
“Hi, sweetie,” Macy says back.
Mara had grown into a fine young lady, taking most of her Mother’s beautiful features, yet seizing her Father’s looks and loveliness, the twenty-year-old was undoubtedly eye-catching just like her parents.
“Have any idea where your brothers are?” Liam questions.
“I would rather not say, Dad, but rest assured they’ll attend the ceremony.” Liam rolls his eyes at his daughter’s response. These children were not children anymore.
“The boys do take after their Fathers,” Macy speaks up, causing Liam to frown while she laughs at his countenance.
“My brother and I were never rebels to our parents, I tell you.” he tries to defend.
“Alright scary Alpha, I was only joking.”
Mara giggled at her parents’ bickering, which, of course, she was used to. The love between her parents was one she craved to have with her mate one day.
“Good morning, Alpha and Luna.” A voice calls out from behind.
“Hi, Aria, how are you?” Macy greets
“I’m doing great, Luna.”
Aria and her family were opportune to be among the refugees Waterfall permitted into their pack seeking shelter. They had become part of the pack now after living in Waterfall for almost twelve years.
Her Mom Shelly worked here in the pack house as one of the cooks, earning her a chance to become close friends with the Alpha’s children.
“What can I help with?” Aria asks, glancing around at the almost finished job.
“It’s almost done, sweetie,” Macy confirms.
“Yea come on Aria, my parents will do the rest,” Mara says already pulling Aria, her best friend along.
“Careful children please,” Macy yelled at them,
Both girls giggled excitedly as they ran off into the woods, “Tonight’s going to be so much fun,” Mara said.
“I have a good feeling my Wolf might appear tonight,” Aria says, Mara’s eyes widen in anticipation.
“Really? Oh! My how certain are you?” she asks eager to know.
Aria was two years younger than Mara, she turned eighteen last Tuesday and still hadn’t gotten her wolf yet.
“Well, I’ve been having weird dreams lately, so my Mama took me to Aunt Paige, who confirmed my Wolf might arrive anytime soon.”
“Oh my! This is great news! I honestly can’t wait for our wolves to go for a run together.” Mara says, pulling Aria into a hug.
Both girls were lost in their conversations, they failed to notice two large Wolves behind them,
“Ahhh!” they screamed in fear when one of the animals growled loudly at them.
“Fuck you two!” Mara screams at her brothers, currently both girls are on the wet ground.
The larger beast approached them, his gaze on Aria who stared back, he licked her face covering her with its drool.
“Gross! Stop that, both of you.” Mara snarls at both of the Wolves, while Aria chuckles at them both, her fingers trailing it furs.
Mara pushed the wolf from Aria and pulled her up, Instantly they began to shift as sounds of bones restructuring filled the area.
Aria quickly turned her back away from them, her face now red in embarrassment while Mara gazed with wide eyes, she had a scowl on her face.
“When will you two learn to stop harassing us?” she questioned with arms folded on her chest.
“Harassment? Do we do that, Daryl?” A deep voice asks. It was Leo, Mara’s twin.
“Wow, Mara, you never cease to amaze us with your kind words.” The other speaks out. “Would Innocent Aria, please turn around now? We’ve covered our cocks.”
“Daryl! Mind your fucking words.” Mara yells.
Both men laugh at her irritation, one thing they did best was pissing Mara off at any given chance.
Aria veered around to face the duo, who were now dressed, her face so red in embarrassment.
“Aria the virgin, how are you?” Daryl says, observing her intently, his choice of words made Mara roll her eyes.
“I’m doing great Daryl,” she replies her lip now in a thin line as she avoids his intense gaze.
The children grew up together, with Leo and Daryl becoming an inseparable duo. The year Aria arrived was the best for Mara as she also found a friend to keep her company always since her brothers limited their time with her.
Aria grew up alongside the siblings of the Waterfall pack, she moved into the pack house a few years after their arrival making her bond with the family stronger.
“What are you two doing out here? Aren’t you supposed to be helping out in the kitchen?” Leo asked, resulting in both men laughing.
“You are such a bum Leo,” Mara says with gritted teeth, before pulling Aria along with her.
“Look nice tonight Aria, I might want a dance,” Daryl yells at their back.
