Liam’s POV
Macy was worried throughout that day. Her emotions affected not just me but my wolf too, I understood her fears, nevertheless, It was only a dream and I believe that nothing of the sort will happen.
Greg had important information for me and after hearing what my Beta had to say, My mind was now in a frenzy,
The person planning all the attacks on me and my pack was rumored as a Rogue, and that is why their army attacked our convoy. Finn was still locked up, and his mate was on house arrest, she was not allowed to go anywhere or even attend Pack ceremonies.
I aimed to find this person and put them in a place for threatening me openly and trying to use other packs against me.
I left the pack with my Beta to Attend the Alpha’s gathering, which was scheduled for noon today, we had to discuss some issues at hand and the threat to my pack is one. It was a meeting for the Alpha of every pack in the country, which was a total of fifty-one packs from each state.
Waterfall was the second-to-highest pack in the country. The drive to the meeting was short as it was being held in a close location, and the room was already filled with werewolves from different packs when we arrived.
I walked up to an empty seat and immediately the meeting began, our spokesman, Alpha Darren walked up to the podium.
” Welcome Alphas to another gathering. The situations at hand needs urgent Attention,”
I watched closely as different Alphas stood up to point out issues in their respective packs, numerous comments were made.
Darren called out the case of my pack. However, I stood up to say nothing, as I listened carefully to what others had to say concerning the threats and attacks.
Listening to their remarks now everything made sense to me, some of these men seated here knew a thing about the attacks, it was evident in the way they made their speech.
Lincoln was present at the gathering and quickly made his way to me, where I was seated at the back with my Beta.
” Liam, these men know something, there is something fishy here,”
” I believe so too, Lincoln, and right now, I think I’ll have to do it the hard way,”
” What do you need me to do?”
” I want you to go home to your mate and pack, and live happily my good friend,”
Before Lincoln could say a word, I stood up ready to leave the hall, then my eyes locked with Darren’s for a second, there was something in his gaze that I could not specify, but I shrugged the feeling off and left the room filled with hateful Alphas, only a few were my loyal friends.
I had to meet with an old friend later, so Greg returned to the pack house without me.
Macy’s POV
Grandma had mentioned that someone was coming to Waterfall to see me, but she refused to disclose the identity of the person to me.
She kept repeating the same words, It is a surprise. When the car finally arrived in front of the pack house, the both of us stood in place waiting for the surprise to get down.
I gasped in shock as I saw her step out of the car, she let her long hair cascade down to her waist. Her face had light makeup on, her skin shining under the sun as she sauntered in our direction.
Seria had a smile on her face as she approached us, we shared a hug, and I was delighted to see her again.
” Seria, you are here!”
” I hoped we surprised you, Macy, it was my idea for your grandma not to tell you,”
” You sure did, please, come on in,”
Seria settled in, and we sat in the living room together with a cup of tea in each of our hands, Grandma was present too.
” Tell me about your recent dreams, Macy,”
I gulped hard as fear began to consume me, and goosebumps filled my skin,
” It is alright, Macy, do not be scared to tell me,” Seria tells me in her calm voice that soothes my heart and calms me down.
I put my fear aside and tell her everything that happened in my dreams, it was the same dream, but the last one was a bit different and scary with Liam dead.
” You had visions, Macy, sooner or later, it’ll manifest, we have to act fast,”
Serai’s words frightened me my heart raced with her utterances, “Manifest?”
” Macy there is a war approaching, I have seen it, and in this war, a lot will happen, the ancestral spirits of the innocent will take that as their opportunity to strike, we have to act fast it else it will reoccur and this time the pain too hard to bear.”
” I do not understand, when is this war?” I questioned as I trembled with fear,
” I only saw the war, but it is unclear to me when it will take place, Macy, no matter what happens you have to be strong,”
I turned to glance at Nana who had a sad look on her face, she seemed to be in her thoughts. The war was finally approaching, and I did not know what to do or how to be of help to my mate.
I was still in my trance when the sound of a car horn drew me out, just then Liam walked in through the door with Ripley behind him.
Seria instantly stood on her feet, Liam moved toward us with no expression on his face at all, he wraps his arms around me the moment we meet, pulling me into a tight hug as he buries his face in the crook of my neck and then placed a kiss on my mark making me shudder at the feeling.
” I missed you,” he voiced out, as he sniffs and placed kisses on my hair,
” Hmm, I missed you too,”
I broke our embrace after a minute and then introduced Seria. ” Liam, this is Seria, my friend,”
Seria bows her head slightly to Liam as she acknowledges him, with a smile on her face while Liam simply stared at her without a word.
” Seria Griffith, a descendant of the Regarl Griffith, the first white witch to be born into existence, and now the last living white witch existing.”
Ripley speaks as she stares at Seria in awe as if she had just seen a deity, her actions surprised me, and I wondered how she knew Seria.
” A half-witch who possesses a great force and power which she is not aware of, child you are of a great bloodline,”
Seria tells Ripley who is still in awe staring at the witch in front of her. Immediately, Ripley goes down to her knees and bows her head to Seria. Everything I witnessed amazed me.
” Rise, child,”
Quickly Ripley gets on her feet and placed her palm in Seria’s hold, we watched closely as a dagger appeared in Seria’s free hand that she used to cut open Ripley’s palm,
Seria lifts Ripley’s open palm to get lips and sucks on her blood, my eyes go wide as I stare at their actions, Ripley had a satisfied look on her face as Seria lowers her hand after healing her cut.
” I cannot believe you are here, we have only heard of you in the books and stories. It is indeed a pleasure to have you here,”
Ripley says with a smile on her face, Liam did not say a word after that,
” You know why I am here, Liam Torres,”
” I know witch. To break the curse,”
I furrowed my brow at his words, he knew about the curse? This was news to me, here I was thinking that I kept it a secret and how I would disclose the news to him when I did not understand it myself.
” We begin at dawn!” Serai speaks out before turning on her heels to leave,
” Seria, where are you headed? I have asked the servants to prepare your room,”
” That is so nice of you, Macy, however, I already have a place to rest, I’ll see you at dawn,”
I watched as she walked out of the house like she was not there at all. Seria is full of surprises.
” I’ll go make plans for dinner since your Mother is out,”
Grandma says as she leaves the room and Liam pulled me upstairs to our room.
” When did you discover about the curse?”
I questioned him, the instant we got into our room, “Ripley told me about it a few weeks ago, when I explained my dreams to her,”
” You have had dreams too?”
Without a word, he brings me to the couch where we take a seat, and explained his dreams to me. My eyes widened at his expression, all these while I believed I was the only one having weird dreams.
” I allowed Seria entrance into the pack’s territory, as she is the only surviving witch who can help to break the curse,” Liam explains,
” What happens if the curse isn’t broken?”
” The curse was laid for love to be found and then snatched away by death, just as King Van-Brooke made his daughter, Mara, suffer, so she laid the curse on all his descendants. This means one of us dies while the other withers away,”
