She looked so serious with her question right now, I held my laughter and made sure to maintain a straight face, so my mate does not realize that I am messing with her.
” Well, you could say I am over seven hundred years old,”
” What! Really? You are that old?” She asks with wide eyes and lips parted.
” Hmm, I am,” I answer with a straight face,
Macy murmurs something incoherent to herself that I can not hear,
” So how old is Derick, and your parents and um Greg too?”
” Macy, the only person who you should be concerned about is me, no one else,” I say as I hold her head up looking deep into her eyes,
” Nevertheless since you’ve asked I’ll tell you, My parents are both a thousand years old, Derick is six hundred years old and Greg is just four hundred years old, he is solely a baby,” I continue,
” You call someone who is four hundred years old, just a baby!” she says with wide eyes.
” Yes, Macy, Greg is only a baby,”
Macy shakes her head at me, not believing my words. ” Why on earth do I find your words hard to believe Liam,”
” Well you believed the answers you got from your research, but find mine hard to believe! Oh, common now Macy,”
” I don’t believe it, that is the reason I want to hear from you!” she says with gritted teeth.
” Well, what do you think, Macy, Do you believe that we are that old?” I ask with a smirk on my face.
” Well, how would I know, it’s not like I’m the one with superpowers to transform into a big wolf and kill people,” Macy says.
” Macy we don’t just kill people, we kill only the bad guys and in self-defense. And also we don’t have superpowers, okay,” I try to explain to my Mate.
” If you don’t have superpowers like you claim, then how on earth do you explain the fact that you can turn into a wolf that lives inside of you, I mean it’s crazy,”
” Macy it is a gift, werewolves are blessed with these abilities by the moon Goddess, and it goes on from generation to generation, our genes are passed down from the parent to the child, and it is not crazy.”
Macy tries to talk again when I hush her with my hands placed on her lips to stop her from talking,
” Enough with the question and answer for now, we can continue later,” I say to Macy who looks angry with my words.
A knock is heard on the door, after gesturing for the person to come in, a maid walks into the room with her head bent to the ground.
” I apologize for the interruptions, Alpha, but dinner is served,” The maid says with her head still bent in respect.
” We will eat here,” I say without even looking in the servant’s direction, my attention on my beautiful mate.
The maid bows her head in respect and leaves the room without uttering a word,
” Thank you,” Macy mutters under her breath,
” Why are you thanking me,”
” For suggesting eating here, Liam, I don’t know how to face Derick or what to even say to him, Before this whole drama, he found out about our trip to your beach house, Liam I have never seen him so angry as he was Derick was beyond pissed, he…he was hurt I saw it in his eyes, and I don’t know what to do right now, my feelings have changed.
Macy explains with tears threatening to fall from her eyes, “Macy things have indeed changed, and trust me, Derick understands that too,”
” I have been thinking about you ever since I met you, Liam, you have invaded my heart and my thoughts I…. I cannot function properly without you near, and it breaks my heart because I am hurting Derick in the process, I feel like a terrible person,”
She says, sobbing her tears falling down her cheeks, I hold her close to my body letting her cry in my arms, I lift her head to meet my gaze, moving some strands of her hair off her face and behind her ears,
” Macy I feel the same way, you do not know how you make me feel, and how badly I want to make you mine so the whole world knows who you belong to, Macy you are the reason for my existence, my chosen, and that special person I get to create magic with,”
She looks at me with a bit of confusion shown on her countenance, I simply smile at her before kissing her on the lips, I pull away quickly not wanting to go further even though I craved her so badly,
Macy stares at me with eyes that show she wanted more, we hear a knock on the door, and immediately servants walk in with our dinner.
After we had our dinner, Macy took a shower and went straight to bed, I had some work to do and moved to my office to finish up some paperwork,
After some hours of working, I left my office and went back to my room, I took a quick shower and joined Macy on the bed.
Tonight felt special for me because it would be the first time we will be sleeping together in the same bed. She was sleeping so peacefully without any worries, I held her close to me and took a whiff of her sweet scent before closing my eyes.
It was morning in no time, Macy was still asleep her hair scattered all over the pillow, I moved close to her and placed a kiss on her lips.
She stirs slowly opening her eyes, I watched her closely, and Rage came forward watching her too,
” Liam?” she calls out to me in her sleepy voice,
” Mmm, I’m right here,” I say while cuddling her more, holding her so close to me, I could feel the heat from her body.
We stayed like that for a while before deciding to leave the bed, Macy used the bathroom first, then I followed suit.
” Liam, I would rather not inconvenience you, I mean I could just move to another room,” Macy says,
I furrow my brow at her words, “I do not understand, Macy, do you not like it here?” I asked confused,
” No, I do, I like it here, I simply feel like I am taking up so much of your space,”
” Macy, this is where you belong, you don’t have to feel that way, besides it’s your room too.”
” My room? How is it m…” Without letting her complete her words, I shut her up with a kiss.
I held her head in my hands as my lips molded with hers in unity, our tongues dancing together as we suck on each other like starved lovers, which we were indeed.
After a few minutes of our kiss, I let go of her, so she can take in some air, before I could attack her lips again a knock is heard on the door.
” What is it with the knock interruptions?” I murmured with gritted teeth.
Macy smiles, pointing to the door, I reluctantly walk to the door and open it with an angry expression on my face.
” Breakfast is ready, come down, let’s eat,” Mom beams with a smile on her face.
” Do you know what you have just interrupted Mom,”
” Oh, I apologize for any interruptions’ son, you can go continue whatever it is you were doing, but please be quick and make sure to bring Macy down for breakfast,” With that she left.
I turned to my mate, who was still leaning on the wall, her face red and her hair scattered from our side kiss earlier.
” Mom has asked us to come down for breakfast, if you are not comfortable going down, you know we can always eat here,”
She seems to think for a while before nodding her head at me, “Let’s go, Liam, I’ll eat at the dining table today.”
” Are you certain, Macy, we do not have to go if you don’t feel like it,”
” Liam I am fine, I can do it, and besides I cannot hide in here forever,” she says with a smile on her face.
I smile back at her, before holding her hands, and we both go downstairs for breakfast.
We arrived in the dining room and everyone was seated at the table, including Derick who stares at Macy, and then his eyes move to our hands entwined together.
Macy stills in her track as she locks eyes with Derick.
