Macy’s POV
All through the night I could not sleep, I waited patiently for the morning to come. I was scared and did not want to die like this. I had so many dreams to accomplish; I wanted to get married and have kids of my own, to live in a simple house with a garden out back and a husband who loves me, undoubtedly.
I stared out the little window of this tiny room just above the bed, there was no moon or stars in the sky. I sighed, maybe even the moon and stars cannot bare to watch my predicaments, I did not even get to say goodbye to my grandma and Lori too. My mind wanders to them, they must be super worried about me.
I decided to sing my favorite song, which was my mom’s she taught me when I was younger. That was before she died, it became my favorite after she passed. My mother was a lover of music too. She taught me how to play the guitar and the piano when I turned six, those moments were the happiest of my life.
My family was complete with me, Mom, Dad, and Grandma. We used to have so much fun, and there was not a year when my birthday wasn’t celebrated in grand style. I loved those moments and wish they lasted forever. But that could not be possible because of that horrible night, that stole my precious parents from me.
I blink back my tears as I am still rooted in my spot thinking about my parents and what would have become of us if death didn’t snatch them away from this world.
I finally stopped singing after a while and decided to sleep a little, but could not, sleep was far from me, I was restless. My head hurt so bad due to the injury from earlier.
It was finally dawn, I sat in my position as I watched the sun rising slowly into the sky. The birds flew freely and chirped loudly in the sky. I was jealous of them.
After a while, I heard footsteps and voices from the other side of the door, indicating that people were there.
I had no idea how long it was since the sun had risen, I lost track of time, being locked here for that long. The door was flung open with force, making me shiver with fear, my time was finally up. I was going to die for a course I knew nothing about it.
The man who offered me the tray of food yesterday walks in with the boss behind him,
” Pick her up, we are leaving now before he meets us up.” the boss says with an evil grin on his face.
Quickly, the man walks up to the bed and grips my leg, dragging me off the bed. I struggle in his stronghold, trying to free my leg from his grip, but he is too strong for me.
” Let go of me, no please, where are you taking me? Please let me go!!!!” I wailed while hitting his hard body, he did not flinch but continued walking away with me writhing and shaking in his arms like a child.
After moving for a while, I heard the boss say to tie my eyes, without wasting time, my eyes were blindfolded again, welcoming me to the world of darkness and I could not fight or resist. I was too tired for that, so I just allowed them to do what they wanted with me.
I did not have any Idea of what was going on or where we were heading, all I knew was that we were moving when I heard the boss speak, then a phone rang, and then I heard the voice of the man I have been thinking of these past weeks, the man whom I think I am falling in love with.
My heart beats hearing his voice, it felt like I had not seen him for months, my body yearned for him, and all I wanted right now was to be in his arms all wrapped up with him, my Liam.
I heard Derick’s voice too, they came together to save me, I couldn’t have been more happier, this was hope that I was going to live to see another day.
I don’t know what happened, it was hard to hear clearly as the piece of cloth used to blindfold my eyes also wrapped my ears, making me strain my ears to hear a bit of what was going on. But all of a sudden, I was being taken back inside that hellhole, I could feel it, I knew it. The man carrying me was running with me in his arms.
Finally, we came to a stop and I could hear shuffling sounds,
” Get the items we are proceeding with plan B,” I heard him say to others who were in the room with us, I couldn’t see a thing. I could only hear sounds.
I was held up, and could feel things being wrapped around my body, my heart skipped at their actions,
” Wh… at are you…u doing? I asked while stuttering.
” Stay still, and stop moving or talking.”
I gulped in fear but adhered to his words, I stood still as he continued what in his name he was doing.
Done, he removed my blindfold, and I was shocked to see wires wrapped across my body, I felt tears fall down my cheek. So, this is how I am going to die, uh, I murmur to myself.
I am left all alone in this big room with a time bomb tied to my body, which would blow me up to pieces at any moment. I closed my eyes and said my last goodbyes to my Grandma as I sobbed bitterly.
After a minute of waiting to die, I see the door open, and the boss walks in staggering in his movements and coughing, he seemed to have inhaled something dangerous. He walks past me and into the inner room where I was locked up since yesterday.
Just then I hear the door open again and this time Liam walks in with Derick behind him, I see both their faces are registered in shock, seeing me this way, I was a crying mess,
Liam runs to me, he tries to touch me but is stopped by Derick,
Henry comes out of his hiding spot with a remote in his hands, which is the control to the bomb I am wearing,
He talks about some storytelling, and I am confused with all they are talking about, goddess chosen? Henry addresses me as Liam’s mate. What in the world are they talking about, and what had it got to do with me?
Everything happened so fast, before I could realize a thing, Henry and Liam started fighting, throwing punches at each other.
Derick runs to me and attempts to get the bomb off me, I just stare ahead at Liam fighting for his life and mine, their fight is getting deadly as they start flinging themselves against tables, and the hard walls.
Derick finally gets the bomb off me and carries me in his arms toward the exit, I struggle in his arms, no we can’t leave Liam all alone, fighting for his life, I thought.
We finally exit the room but are halted by three more men in front, Derick runs back into the chamber and placed me on the ground,
I see Liam still fighting hard with Henry at the far end of the room, I can not believe we are going to die like this!
The men stalked Derick and me with angry looks on their countenances, I could not fathom what on earth was the crime Liam committed for these men to want to kill all of us.
Derick stood in front, protecting me, but what I witnessed with my eyes was something I never imagined. These men turned into beasts right in front of me, and the beasts growled at us.
My heart hammered in my chest, but what shocked me the most was Liam, he ran fast, jumped, and changed into one of these beasts too. I stared mouth parted, eyes shining as I looked at the beast he turned into, that was not enough as I watched Derick turn into one of them too.
Immediately they both attacked the other beasts and all I saw was blood and claws, it all happened so fast,
I watched them kill the other beasts without stress, and they both walked toward me as if nothing happened still in their beast form. I was going to die! They would kill me! That was all imagined. As I black out.
