Start Explaining

Book:Mated To My Alpha Brother Published:2025-3-10

I quickly took a shower and left the house. I got in my car and drove off. Arriving at Macy’s apartment, I sat in my car contemplating whether I should go up or not. It was a weekend, and she didn’t have work today, so I knew she was home.
If there is one thing the Moon Goddess blessed me with is my sensitive nose, among my pack my sense of smell is the best I don’t why, but I have always been the one that could perceive things from afar at a young age. I smelt it again, werewolf.
This one is close, I thought, why are shape-shifters suddenly interested in this neighborhood? I sat in my car, eyes wandering around, maybe I could catch him this time. Furthermore, I stepped out of my car and followed the scent in its direction. The moment he sees me he darts off running again, Not this time again I am not letting you go that easy again, I mutter as I chase him into the woods opposite the building apartment, he was fast but not as fast as me in no time I caught up with him, I hit him, and he falls flat on the ground with his face to the ground.
He struggles in my hold as I drag him up. “Who the hell are you and why are you spying on that building?” I asked him.
He keeps me mute, still struggling in my arms as I hold him tight, he tries to fight back, pushing my arms and freeing himself from my hold. Vaarg comes forward, my eyes changing to my wolf’s as my claws come out of my hands. We were angry.
“You think you are a match for me, Omega?” I asked the man in front of me with an evil smirk on my face. With all this drama going on, my wolf has been on the edge, constantly losing control, and I haven’t gotten the chance to let him out for a run and hunt. This is a good opportunity to let him have some fun. We stalked our prey carefully, not taking our eyes off him, I immediately attacked him as we started to fight still in our human form, he was no match for me at all. In a few minutes, he was on the ground with my already partially shifted hands on his neck as I strangled his throat, he thrashed in my hands, but I am too strong for him.
“Who sent you?” I asked this time my Alpha aura suppressing him, my wolf growling at his,
“Answer me!” I yell at him, my patience running out.
“Ple.. ase do.. n’t kill me, please.” he stammers, his hands on mine trying to claw it from his neck, his survival instincts kicking in.
“If you would rather not die, then speak up, who the fuck sent you to spy on that building?” I told him
“I was sent by Greg to watch the building, nothing more I promise, please don’t kill me.” he pleaded, his eyes already closing due to my tight grip on his neck. I let go of him, I stared at the werewolf in front of me, my head trying to register what he just said.
“Greg? That is to say, that my brother’s best friend and the Beta of my pack sent you to spy on that building?” I asked.
“Yes, yes, he paid me to keep watch, that’s all,” he says with fear in his voice.
“I want to know everything and when you started keeping watch, And don’t lie to me because trust me, I can be more dangerous than you can imagine.”
He starts spilling the truth at my words, I listen carefully to his words, not wanting to miss out on a word.
” I was sent by Greg to keep watch on Macy Brooke. All I did was just look out for her and then deliver back to him.” I felt my wolf stir angrily at his words, I was mad too at his answer. Greg keeping an eye on Macy, what the hell is happening?”
“Do you have any Idea why you were paid to do this?” I ask.
“I think I know who asked him to keep tabs on her.”
“Who?” my mind anticipates to know who is behind this, at his words, even though I have a feeling I know who the person might be, I wanted to be certain.
“I think it’s Alpha Liam of the Waterfall pack, your brother.” I closed my eyes at his answer, I was right all along.
“Are you sure about your answer, if I find out you are lying to me, the consequences would be so painful,” I tell him.
“I have no reason to lie, it’s the truth, believe me.” Of course, he had no reason to lie, knowing I can end his life right now. I let go of him as I stand up and arrange my clothes properly, setting them back to normal.
“Get lost, and I never want to see you here again, or you’ll never get to see the next full moon, and don’t say a word to Greg about our encounter, or I will hunt you down myself.” I tell him, and he immediately runs off in the opposite direction.
My heart aches at this newfound information I just learned, I stroll out of the woods and slowly walk toward the apartment’s building as I go up to my girlfriend’s condo. My emotions are so high right now, I feel nothing but anger burning in my mind, how could all this happen right under my nose and I knew nothing whatsoever? But what hurts most is the fact that Macy decided to hide all of this from me.
I quietly walk into the house, I hear the shower running from the bedroom, and I know she is in the bathroom. I take a seat on the sofa while I place the envelope from my pocket on the table.
I waited for a few minutes before she came out, Macy looked shocked to see me back again, she stopped in her tracks as she stared at me, her eyes showing nothing but fear.
“Hi, Macy Good morning, I hope you slept well?” I asked her, not even looking in her direction.
“Derick!” she whispers.
“Yes, I’m back. Come take a seat, Macy, let’s have a little couple talk.” I say to her as I pat the sofa for her to come seat, she hesitates as she stands rooted in her position.
“I only want to talk Macy there is no need to be scared, do you think I’ll hurt you? Macy, since when are you now scared of me?” I ask.
“I’m not scared, you just surprised me with your appearance,” she whispers to herself, I bet I could not have heard anything if my hearing senses weren’t sharp.
“Then come take a seat, Macy, let’s chat,” I tell her. She walks in slow strides as she comes forward and takes a seat opposite me. She couldn’t look me in the eyes and was constantly avoiding my gaze. I shrug at her behavior.
I immediately pick up the envelope from the table and hand it to her, she looks at the envelope before looking up at me confused.
“What’s this?” she asked.
“Well open it let’s find out, don’t know what’s in it too, why don’t you do the honors,” I say in a very calm voice.
She hesitates for a second, not sure of what I’m saying, I guess. But she eventually picks it up and opens it. I stared patiently, waiting for her countenance.
She finally brings out the contents of the envelope, and her face falls as she stirs at the pictures in her eyes.
“De… De.. rick, What is this?” she asks stuttering
“I’m all ears, Macy starts explaining,”
