His golden protective shield had reduced by two-thirds in thickness, seemingly faring better than Cyrus.
“Benjamin, Your Highness, Miss Storm, let’s go together.” Seeing Cyrus and Freddy had already passed, Noah Shadow’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at Monk Benjamin, Salvador, and Celia.
Nether Flame, this heavenly spiritual fire, was most effective against ghostly paths. However, after seeing Cyrus and Freddy pass through, Noah Shadow was confident he could make it as well.
Hearing Noah Shadow’s words, Monk Benjamin, Salvador, and Celia all nodded simultaneously.
After all, passing early meant they could have some time to recover on the stone platform.
Immediately, the four of them unleashed their spiritual power.
A moon-white shield formed on Monk Benjamin’s body surface, while Salvador had a golden shield. Celia was enveloped in a dark blue shield, and Noah Shadow was surrounded by ghostly energy.
The four figures flashed and stepped onto the stone path, quickly running towards the central stone platform.
About twenty seconds later, Monk Benjamin, Salvador, and Celia reached the central stone platform simultaneously.
Noah Shadow was slightly slower as Nether Flame affected him the most.
Just as he was about to reach the central stone platform, a cold gleam flashed in Noah Shadow’s single eye. A layer of ghostly fire surged on his body surface, protecting him as he finally succeeded in passing the stone path.
Upon reaching the central stone platform, Noah Shadow immediately sat cross-legged to recover his breath.
“The Martial Dynasty people have all passed; let’s go too,” Maverick snorted and spoke.
As soon as he finished speaking, six prodigies from Godsbane Dynasty flashed and stepped onto the stone path, then began to sprint.
Unsurprisingly, all six prodigies from Godsbane Dynasty passed through.
“It’s our turn,” Lydia from Giant Wolf Dynasty said to Mia, Scorpio, Toad, and Nightfall.
The members of Giant Wolf Dynasty also successfully passed through the stone path and reached the central stone platform.
“Miss Frida, Miss Windsor, Northwood, Mr. Highmore, let’s go too,” Southwood said to Frida Redford, Windsor, Northwood, and Quinn.
The five prodigies from Crescent Dynasty smoothly passed through the stone path and arrived at the central stone platform.
“No wonder they are all prodigies; none of them are undeserving of their reputation.”
“With these prodigies here, the inheritance of Pill Sovereign is surely theirs.”
“In the end, we are just foils…”
The observing Cultivators were filled with envy and jealousy as they discussed among themselves.
Seeing no one else stepping onto the stone path, the deep voice of Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign resounded again: “Is there anyone else willing to take this test?”
The Cultivators looked at each other in silence.
Most of them were not even as strong as Nate and others; passing the stone path was nearly impossible for them.
Soon enough, one person stepped forward to the edge of the stone path.
“Ethan, are you confident?” Elder Quincy looked at Ethan and asked telepathically.
“Not a big problem,” Ethan squinted slightly and nodded before preparing to step onto the stone path.
The Cultivators focused their attention on Ethan, waiting for his performance.
Under everyone’s gaze, Ethan couldn’t help but smile slightly. Being the center of attention gave him a sense of enjoyment.
“Seraphina, let’s go too,” Leo said to Seraphina beside him with a smile.
Seraphina nodded and walked towards the stone path with Leo.
“Two more people are challenging.”
“That woman looks familiar…”
“That’s Seraphina from Martial Dynasty Falling Blossom Palace.”
Leo and Seraphina’s actions quickly attracted many Cultivators’ attention. Especially seeing Seraphina covered in a light veil like a celestial being made many people’s eyes light up.
Seeing Leo and Seraphina walking side by side, Ethan’s face darkened slightly. He thought: I didn’t expect this guy to challenge too. It’s a good opportunity to dampen his spirit in front of the beauty.
“Mr. Bloomer, are you challenging too?” With a plan in mind, Ethan looked at Leo with a gentle smile on his handsome face.
Leo simply responded with an “Mm” and didn’t pay much attention to Ethan while examining Nether Flame closely.
Ethan’s eyes flickered as he continued: “Mr. Bloomer, since we are both challenging, are you interested in making a bet?”
“Not interested,” Leo directly refused.
Leo’s straightforward rejection made Ethan’s smile freeze for a moment, his face turning somewhat ugly.
“Heh. Are you scared, Mr. Bloomer? My bet is simple: whoever reaches the central stone platform first wins. The stake is a seven-grade Spirit Herb. How about it?” Ethan used a provoking tactic with patience.
Leo turned to look at Ethan and asked coldly: “Are you sure you want to bet with me?”
“Of course. If Mr. Bloomer lacks confidence in himself, just pretend I didn’t say anything,” Ethan said with a smile while cupping his hands gracefully.
“It’s not about lacking confidence; I just think there’s an issue with your betting method,” Leo said calmly.
“What issue does Mr. Bloomer see?” Ethan asked puzzledly.
Leo replied: “Racing to the central stone platform is too boring. I think we should bet on who stays on the stone path the longest before reaching the central stone platform!”
“Haha, that’s an interesting bet,” Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign’s soul fragment showed an intrigued expression upon hearing Leo’s words from above the alchemy furnace.
Ethan thought for a moment and then said in a deep voice: “Since Pill Sovereign senior finds this method interesting, let’s follow Mr. Bloomer’s suggestion.”
“Additionally, one Spirit Herb is too little; let’s make it three seven-grade Spirit Herbs,” Leo added with a slight smile.
“Fine, three it is!” Ethan agreed firmly.
The Yates family had obtained eight seven-grade Spirit Herbs upon arriving on the island; thus, Ethan felt confident enough.
Leo looked at Seraphina and said telepathically: “Seraphina, shall I hold you? Let’s go together?”
“I can manage on my own,” Seraphina replied.
She understood that Leo was worried she might not pass the stone path alone but felt he underestimated her abilities.
“Alright then, be careful,” Leo nodded slightly.
“I’ll wait for you on the platform,” Seraphina said before forming hand seals. Blue water light surged around her body forming a protective shield that enveloped her completely.
With a flash of her figure, Seraphina stood steadily on the stone path.
Blue flames immediately began burning her water-blue shield causing large amounts of steam to rise from it.
Seraphina moved gracefully with elegant footwork on the stone path quickly heading towards the central stone platform.
In less than twenty seconds Seraphina successfully reached the central stone platform.
Seeing this scene those observing Cultivators couldn’t help but show expressions of surprise.
