Asher
Today has to be the best fucking day of my life. I made love to Ally. I’ve dreamed of this moment countless times, imagining every detail, but nothing compares to the reality of it.
Feeling her close, hitting every spot perfectly, tasting her soft, succulent breasts, and doing all the naughty things I’ve fantasized about it’s beyond crazy.
It’s surreal, like stepping into a dream I’m not ready to wake up from.
We even showered together, water cascading over our bodies as we shared intimate touches.
It’s just the two of us, locked away in our little world, shutting out everything else.
I know I should be out there, tending to pack matters, being the responsible Alpha.
But for fuck’s sake, I can’t let her out of my sight. Not now. Not when I’ve finally got her here, with me.
Because if I leave, she might leave me, dragging us back to where we used to be. I can’t bear the thought of it.
Suddenly, the unmistakable voice of Liam echoes through the link, snapping me out of my reverie. “I’m right at your door,” he says.
“What the fuck does he want?” I muttered, clenching my jaw.
I know I need to protect Ally, especially after hearing those ridiculous things Liam said to her. There’s no way I’m letting him near her now.
“What is it?” Ally asks, with her voice laced with panic as fear flashes in her eyes. She noticed my emotions too.
I know she’s worried. Her issues with Maya are not to be taken lightly. Beating up their Luna is a serious offense, one that could likely land her in isolation.
But her heat took over, clouding everything else. We’ll have to face the fallout later.
“I’ll meet you in my office,” I say to Liam through the mind link, keeping my voice calm but firm. I can’t let him come into my room while Ally is still in heat.
“Okay, Alpha,” Liam responds, and I listen to the sound of his retreating footsteps, ensuring he’s leaving.
I turn back to Ally, noticing the worry etched on her face as if she’s questioning whether she’s crossed some line. I pull her into a comforting hug, holding her close.
“It’s Liam. He was right outside the door, but I told him to meet me in the office,” I explain, my voice gentle.
Her shoulders relax, and I see the relief on her face, easing some of the tension.
“Let’s get dressed,” I say to her, watching as Ally moves away from me and heads toward the closet where she had picked the shirt earlier.
I can’t help but watch as she lets the towel slide down her body, leaving her completely bare.
My cock twitches at the sight, and I know for sure that Ally will be the death of me.
She notices me checking her out and slowly turns her face, a knowing smile playing on her lips. She’s well aware of the effect she has on me, and it’s maddening.
With long strides, I make my way toward her, closing the distance between us. My heart pounds in my chest as I lift a hand to gently cup her face, my fingers brushing against her skin.
I lean in, bring her lips close to mine, and kiss her. It’s slow and deliberate, each movement filled with unspoken emotions.
It’s as if I’m trying to convey everything I feel, through this kiss-a message of desire, longing, I can’t quite put into words.
I pull away from the kiss and I reach out to help her button up the shirt she’s wearing. As I do, I notice her breath hitch, and her hands tremble slightly.
I smirk, knowing the effect I have on her. It’s reassuring to see that the feeling between us is mutual.
She looks up at me, with a steady but hesitant gaze as if she’s clearing her throat to speak. I can tell she has something on her mind.
“Spill it,” I say, breaking the silence.
She shakes her head slowly, moving away from me again. I follow her, wanting her to voice her thoughts.
With her back turned, she stands at the window, staring out over the wide expanse of our pack’s land.
I stand just inches away from her, close enough to feel the pull but I try to keep enough distance to ensure my wolf doesn’t lose control.
I move my hand to her shoulder, touching her gently. She tenses under my touch, and the familiar sparks and tingling erupt between us, making it hard for either of us to ignore the bond.
“What will happen to us next?” she asks, turning to face me, her eyes searching my eyes for answers.
The truth is, I’ve thought about it over and over, but putting it into words feels impossible. She’s my mate, the one destined to be my Luna, but right now, so many things are at stake. There’s Maya.
She keeps looking at me, her eyes filled with uncertainty, wondering why I’m silent.
Slowly, she moves away, with a trembling voice. “I’m sorry, Alpha. I know I shouldn’t have expected much from you, not after everything that’s happened,” she trails off.
“I know it’s stupid to think you would leave Maya for me. Gosh, what was I thinking?” She berates herself, her voice breaking as she continues.
I can’t take it anymore. I step closer, placing a finger gently on her lips, silencing her. She shudders under my touch, the sparks igniting between us again.
“You worry too much, Ally, but I promise you this-no harm will come to you.”
She tenses, clearly not expecting me to say that.
“Thanks, Alpha Asher,” she murmurs, though I can see she’s trying to control her emotions.
“Are you worried about Maya?” I ask, my concern growing.
She looks up slowly, nodding her head.
“Why are you worried?” I press gently.
“I’m worried she’ll find out about our little escapade,” she admits, her voice barely above a whisper.
I want to reassure her, but I know I have to tread carefully. “I don’t want to make a rash promise, but I want you to know I’m working on something. As for Maya…” I trail off.
“It will be me and you against the world. Do you understand?” I say, my voice firm yet soft.
I notice the blood rush to her cheeks as she shifts slightly away from me. I place a gentle hand on her arm, holding her in place. “What’s making you feel uncomfortable?” I ask with a teasing smirk.
She shakes her head softly, but I can tell she’s about to deny it. Her flushed face betrays her, and I have the urge to pull her into a hug, to reassure her that everything will be okay.
After a few moments, I slowly pull away and look into her eyes. “Stay here. I don’t want you seen by anyone.”
“This is my most private room; hardly anyone ever comes here. I’ll send Liam to bring your working tools and some food,” I add.
At the mention of Liam’s name, she tenses. I know why Liam’s outburst at the training ground is still fresh in her mind.
“Are you okay, or would you prefer if I sent Kayla instead?” I ask.
Her face brightens with a smile, and she nods. “Thank you, Alpha Asher,” she says softly with a smile.
Kaidos purrs wildly, eager to bask in Ally’s presence. I know I should leave, but it’s hard to pull away from her.
“I should go,” I finally say, stepping back reluctantly, still holding her hand, but after it lingers our hands slip apart, leaving me feeling the absence of her touch.
As I step out the door, I hear her voice in my mind. My heart skips a beat as I hear her words, catching me off guard and stirring something deep within me.
