Five years later.
City N Airport terminal.
People rushed about, and a mechanical female voice announced over the speakers.
VIP passenger exit.
“Ethan? Yeah, I’m out, I’ll be there soon.”
“I’m waiting for you at the entrance.”
“Okay.”
The woman hung up the phone and was about to look at the road signs when she was suddenly bumped into.
She looked down and saw a soft little face.
She took off her sunglasses, and the little girl immediately opened her mouth and exclaimed, “Wow! Miss, are you a fairy? You look like my mom.”
The woman seemed to be amused by her. “No, little one. Why are you here alone? Where are your parents?”
The girl’s big blue eyes immediately dimmed. She was very cute, dressed in a princess dress, with a princess hairstyle, just like the dolls in the store window. Anyone who saw her couldn’t help but look twice.
In just this short moment, several people passing by were already marveling at how adorable she was.
“My mom and dad don’t want me anymore.”
“Did you get lost?”
“No, I’m flying to find my mom. She’s as pretty as you.” The little girl suddenly answered in a bright, cheerful voice, even shaking her small fist.
“Miss Fairy, do you have a boyfriend? Would you marry my dad? He looks like this.” As she spoke, her soft little hand reached into her pink backpack.
She pulled out a cloth doll, with two eyebrows slanting down and two blue button eyes, wearing a black shirt.
“Look, this is my dad. This is my craft project, and I won first place! I’m a smart baby. Miss Fairy, even though my dad isn’t very likeable, he’s really good to me. If you don’t have a boyfriend, can you marry my dad and be my mom?”
What a strange little girl. The woman smiled softly. “Sorry, I…”
Before she could finish, a little boy’s voice sounded.
“Mom!”
The delicate little boy immediately hugged the woman’s leg. “Dad and I have been waiting for you for so long. Why did it take you so long to get here?”
“Sorry, the flight was delayed. Did you wait a long time?” She turned to look for the little girl, but she was already gone.
“Mom, what are you looking for?”
“Nothing…” The woman pulled her gaze away, and a bouquet of flowers was placed in front of her.
The gentleman, who was gentle and polished, draped his suit over his arm and smiled as he hugged her. “Do you like them?”
“They’re beautiful.”
“Let’s go home. How about I cook your favorite meal tonight?”
“I haven’t tasted your cooking in a long time.” The woman took the little boy’s hand.
They walked away side by side.
After they left, the delicate little girl finally peeked out from behind a vending machine.
She looked at the happy little boy with a sense of loss.
Her small hand tightly gripped the doll, pressing the blue button eyes.
Suddenly, footsteps hurriedly approached.
She was picked up suddenly.
“Miss! We finally found you! How many times have I told you not to leave the kindergarten? It’s very dangerous!”
“Ford!” The little girl pouted and immediately hugged his neck, her soft little body collapsing in his arms as she cried.
“What’s wrong?” Ford stiffened, his heart softening. He gently patted her back, soothing her. “It’s okay, okay. Ford is just worried about your safety. I’m not really scolding you, Jasmine. Stop crying, or you won’t be the most beautiful little princess anymore.”
“I just… hic~” She cried, hiccupping, her little red nose twitching. “I saw a fairy who looked just like mom, but she’s already someone else’s mom. Ford, does that mean I’ll never have a mom?”
Ford carried her toward another exit while smiling. “How could that be? Jasmine, your mom has always been here.”
“But Dad said she’s on a business trip. Then why hasn’t she come to pick me up from school for five years?”
“Your mom’s busy with work. What if she came and you ran off to play again?”
“You’re all lying to kids. It’s definitely because Dad has a bad temper, and Mom doesn’t want him anymore.”
The little girl was placed in a child safety seat. She held onto her doll. “You didn’t tell Dad about the things I did, right?”
“Not yet, but if I don’t find you, it’ll be dangerous.”
Jasmine immediately covered her ears. “You can’t tell him. I don’t want to face the wall and reflect. It takes five minutes each time, that’s such a long time.”
Ford gave a helpless smile. “Then you have to be good and listen.”
“I don’t like kindergarten. The Children’s Day is coming, and everyone has their parents. A lot of classmates laugh at me for not having a mom.”
Ford frowned. “A lot of them?”
“Yeah, a lot.”
“Okay, Ford understands.”
When Conrad chose the school, he specifically selected an elite kindergarten with a high overall quality.
He thought that the students and parents there would have better qualities.
If such a situation occurred, Ford would definitely have a meeting with the teachers.
After all, Jasmine was Conrad’s precious heart and soul.
If she wasn’t feeling well, no one would be comfortable.
Ford picked her up and carried her back to the classroom.
This little troublemaker, who had survived difficult times as a child, had long been raised to be spoiled and unruly.
Her cute appearance was her only strength, and pretending to be obedient was her trick to deceive people.
“Jasmine, you’re back. Did you find your mom?”
Jasmine glared at the other kid. “What’s it to you, Big Fat Tiger?”
“You’re the Big Fat Tiger!”
“I’m not fat!”
On the other side, in the parents’ observation room, Ford adjusted his glasses and said, “Miss Kathy, here’s the thing. Our Jasmine has never had a mother. When we chose your school, we did so because of your reputation for high-quality people. But recently, Jasmine has told us that her classmates have been bullying her about not having a mom. This is harmful to a child’s physical and mental development, and there’s also the issue of the child’s safety. How could you let such a small child run off? If it weren’t for the tracker on her, it could have been dangerous. Can your school take responsibility for that?”
When Ford became serious, the teacher was left speechless.
Before Ford could finish speaking, a loud cry came from the classroom.
Ford quickly stood up, opened the door, and rushed over, only to see Jasmine on top of a chubby boy, swinging her small fists and bookbag, hitting him hard.
With that force, who wouldn’t think she was Conrad’s own daughter?
“Wow! I’m going to get my mom!”
Ten minutes later, four or five luxury cars pulled up at the kindergarten entrance.
When Hogan got out of the car, he didn’t expect the other three to arrive even faster than him.
Melissa was walking briskly, with a fierce look on her face. She immediately overshadowed the three other godfathers.
When they stormed into the office, the little boy’s mother was still yelling at Jasmine.
“Don’t you have any manners?! Are all children from single-parent families like this? Look what she did to my son’s face! She scratched him and left a mark-are you going to pay for this?”
