Chapter 851: Why Keep a Useless Person by My Side?

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2025-3-9

Crystal Bay House was silent.
Only the wind rustled, causing the curtains to flutter.
Ronald Hussain led the branch leaders of Eight Extremities School and knelt in front of the pavilion.
In front of them stood Flynn, with his hands behind his back, and behind him sat Rose Sharp, who was sipping tea.
Kendal Roy, who knelt behind the crowd, had a complex expression in her eyes.
Killing Jack Jenkins in Jade Dragon Mountain showed Flynn’s unmatched martial arts skills, and getting involved with the O’neal family demonstrated Flynn’s deep connections.
This man was too powerful.
He kept shocking her again and again.
At least for someone of her status, Flynn could only be looked up to like a mountain.
Not only was he powerful in martial arts, but his network extended all the way to Eahta. Even her respected sect leader knelt before him.
Normally, someone as powerful as Flynn would never give her the time of day.
But now he stood before her.
Unfortunately, she offended him too many times.
Fortunately, it wasn’t a major mistake, and there was still room for redemption thanks to Molly George’s plea on her behalf. Flynn was no longer as annoyed with her.
Recalling all the previous conflicts, Kendal Roy was overwhelmed with regret and wished she could slap herself a few times.
“Sir, I really didn’t know it was you. I really didn’t. We…” Ronald Hussain nervously tried to explain, fearing Flynn’s wrath. After knowing Flynn’s true identity, no one wouldn’t be afraid of him! He was the master of the Raven King. He had a hot temper and had dealt with the notorious criminals at Demon Island Prison. If Flynn struck, Ronald Hussain wouldn’t be able to handle even a single slap from him.
Flynn saw Ronald Hussain and the twenty or so Grandmasters behind him trembling like a leaf. “Am I that terrifying?” He waved his hand dismissively and said, “Get up.”
Since Rose Sharp wanted him to reason with them, and Ronald Hussain had given in, Flynn decided to let it go.
“Thank you! Thank you! I’m willing to stay at Niarak to serve you as your servant!” Ronald Hussain’s face was filled with excitement as he tried to establish a relationship with Flynn. Even if it meant he was Flynn’s insignificant servant, he considered it as the highest honor.
As Ronald Hussain’s words fell, there was an audible gasp from the crowd.
After all, in their eyes, Ronald Hussain was a top-notch leader. Even though Lilia Hussain had some connection with Eight Extremities School, she could only interact with branch leaders like Maximo Goff. It was rare to see Ronald Hussain in person.
In Lilia Hussain’s eyes, Flynn was just a commoner who could never stand in the spotlight. He was someone who would forever remain in the shadows.
But now the big shot whom Lilia Hussain looked up to wanted to be the servant of the man she despised the most…
The reality left Lilia Hussain feeling dizzy and unable to accept it for a moment.
However, Flynn’s next words almost made Lilia Hussain faint.
“You’re not even a Lesser Sovereign. Why keep a useless person like you by my side?” Flynn directly rejected him with a mocking tone.
What?!
Ronald Hussain offered to be his servant, yet he called him useless…
Lilia Hussain rolled her eyes in disbelief.
This guy was too arrogant!
He merely used his mother’s medical book to cure Reilly O’neal’s grandson. What was so impressive about that?
It was indeed shocking that he had connections with the O’neal family, but did that mean he could look down on Ronald Hussain?
He and Ronald Hussain were at the same level. What made him so arrogant?
Ronald Hussain, out of respect for the O’Neal family, treated him with the utmost deference and even proposed to become his servant, likely hoping to leverage this connection to strengthen his Eight Extremities School.
Yet, he arrogantly dismissed this offer, looking down on them for their perceived lower status, deeming them unworthy of being his servants. Could he be any more shameless?
“Well… I…” Ronald Hussain choked on his words again. King of the Underworld really didn’t give him any face!
But what King of the Underworld said made sense!
In Flynn’s eyes, he was just useless as a Semi-Lesser Sovereign.
Smack!
Just as Lilia Hussain looked at him disdainfully, Flynn ignored Ronald Hussain and walked straight towards her. He slapped her voluptuous buttocks heavily with a playful expression on his face and said jokingly, “Is this your trump card?”
This slap caused Lilia Hussain’s perky buttocks to tremble along with her entire body. Her legs even trembled several times.
“Bastard!”
Lilia Hussain glared at him with eyes filled with dissatisfaction and anger. Her red lips pressed tightly, and her face turned slightly red.
Flynn actually slapped her ass in front of so many people!
Shameless!
Vulgar!
But these expressions disappeared in an instant.
A sense of powerlessness washed over her, leaving her feeling somewhat hopeless as she glanced towards the villa.
Seeing this scene, Rose Sharp shook her head and couldn’t help but smile bitterly.
This guy couldn’t stay serious for more than ten minutes. What should she do with him?
“Let me speak for you,” Flynn said calmly.
“Your trump card isn’t Ronald Hussain but someone inside that villa,” he continued. “When you noticed that Ronald Hussain sided with me, you were worried the person inside the villa might betray you too.”
“So you hesitated about whether or not to call him out. Am I right?” Flynn sneered at Lilia Hussain.
Lilia Hussain’s face changed color as she furrowed her eyebrows.
She didn’t expect Flynn to figure out her thoughts.
At this moment, all her arrogance and remaining aloofness disappeared completely as she lowered her head in despair.
“But since he’s already here, don’t you plan on introducing him?”
Flynn smiled at Lilia Hussain and shouted towards the villa, “Come out.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the doors of the villa swung open abruptly and a man dressed in black attire walked out.
The man had distinct facial features. Coldness exuded from his slim figure despite his tall frame.
As he walked out, an oppressive aura emanated from him that made everyone tense up involuntarily.
Such strong Inner Strength!
“A Lesser Sovereign? And a person?” Ronald Hussain squinted his eyes in surprise.
“Lorenzo Sonego?” Even Flynn was somewhat surprised and disappointed as he shook his head. “Lilia Hussain… oh Lilia Hussain… this guy sold you out last time. Are you still in contact with him?”
Lilia Hussain pursed her lips tightly without saying a word.
How could she not know how cunning the Wakasan people were?
She had helped Komatsu Conglomerate so much before, but Lorenzo Sonego never treated her as an equal partner. He even used her as a bargaining chip to make a deal with Flynn over a medical book.
But now that the Hussain family had been pushed into a corner and shared common enemies with Lorenzo Sonego, cooperation seemed inevitable.
Thinking about it now only made her laugh bitterly.
She had prepared for this meeting seriously. She even brought Frederick Powell along and sought out Lorenzo Sonego just to suppress Flynn. After all, today’s matter could only end successfully. Failure wasn’t an option anymore.
So initially, she thought if the Guards of the Harpy couldn’t make Flynn yield, then use Ronald Hussain to pressure him instead. If Ronald Hussain couldn’t handle him either, then she would ask for help from a Lesser Sovereign.
One Semi-Lesser Sovereign and one Lesser Sovereign should be more than enough to take care of Flynn, right?
This strategy was made after she magnified Flynn’s overall strength hundreds of times.
However, she never expected that Ronald Hussain wouldn’t even make a move when faced with Flynn but instead sided with him.
With this turn of events, with Flynn joining forces with Ronald Hussain and his group, even Lorenzo Sonego would stand no chance against them.
Therefore, whether or not she sought Lorenzo Sonego’s assistance no longer held any meaning.
However, logically speaking, Lorenzo Sonego should have run away upon seeing what happened in the courtyard. Why did he dare come out?
Wasn’t he afraid of trouble from Flynn?
With both Flynn and Ronald Hussain being Semi-Lesser Sovereigns plus so many Grandmasters present, there was no way Lorenzo Sonego could win against them.
But then, Flynn’s words cleared up her doubts.
Flynn looked past Lorenzo Sonego impatiently and shouted loudly,
“Where is the other one? You’re taking forever to show yourself! Do I have to come over there myself? Get your ass out here!”
