Edith was surprised but was immediately able to behave normally. Julie communicated with Edith in the form of soul projection, like Jovanka did. She explained to Edith how Katarina’s magic bond worked on her. Her aunt had made Julie’s body a receptacle for her soul so that she could live forever without an immortal mate.
[Don’t make Katarina suspicious. I need something ancient and powerful like your pendant to kill the witch.]
“I understand,” Edith whispered as quietly as possible.

Now Julie was talking to Seth. She asked Seth to lead Liam to this place so she could destroy the objects together. Seth was surprised that only Julian could mindlink with her, and he was surprised that his daughter could do that with him too.
[Wait for me, Julie.]

Meanwhile, Julie was casting spells and curses on Matilda with her theatrical body. Seth found Liam standing in the centre of the altar. The wolf was preparing himself for his ritual that was not carried out hundreds of years ago.
Seth saw the heptagram outline of salt. He quickly erased it with his front paw, angering Liam. Seth ran out of the room to lure him to where Julie was.
While Julie was busy with Matilda, Edith helped Kai battle the Rogues with her vampire speed and magic power. Although her magic power was not as great as Katarina’s or Julie’s, it was able to paralyse one of the seven rogues who were there.

When I’m done casting the spell, then dad can prepare to attack Liam and the Rogues, while mom and I will keep a tight grip on the pendant to destroy the objects. I saw that Uncle Kai had gotten a gem from under the witch’s cloak when she was caught off guard.]

“Yes. Let’s hurry; there’s not much time.”
After Kai managed to pull Matilda’s body to bang her head against the wall as Julie ordered, Seth, Edith, and Julie held hands and stood in a circle. Julie did as she said earlier.
She cast a spell to bind the objects with her hair. Julie sucked the life energy from the objects. After Julie finished draining the energy from the objects, Seth moved on all four legs to attack all the Rogues.
Edith clearly saw the yellowish aura Seth had as a wolf and his great strength as an Alpha. He finished off the seven wolves as well as Liam with a vicious and brutal attack, like a fighting wolf.
Edith felt Julie’s grip on her hand tighten. She knew it was time to kill the witch. She removed the pendant from her neck and gave it to Julie with one hand.
They both held hands, and Edith followed the spell that Julie cast. Instantly, a blue and golden aura appeared simultaneously, sucking Matilda’s soul slowly. Until Edith no longer heard the popping sound of Matilda’s soul being sucked into the black hole floating in the air.
“Is she gone?” asked Edith when it became quiet.
Julie nodded confidently. At the same time, the werewolves fell after Seth slayed them all. That left Edith, Julie, and Katarina as witches and Seth and Kai as werewolves, still standing after their respective battles.
Seth checked on Liam’s lifeless state as Seth broke his neck after brutally tearing him apart. He wanted to make sure that Liam died by his own hand. Just like his grandfather had done.
“How did you know that this way you could annihilate him?” Edith wrapped the pendant around her neck again.

After communicating without Katarina noticing. Julie just kept a straight face, pretending not to respond to Edith’s question. She turned around, and Katarina followed her because of their blood bond. Julie was desperate to break their bond.
After this, she would have to follow Katarina wherever she went until she was 18 years old. A decision Julie didn’t want to make but had to make. She kept trying to convince herself that she would not become a cruel creature or a monster, like Katarina said.
[I have to go, mum. I think dad will accept it if you tell him. I promise you that I will come back. I’ll make sure the blood ties are severed once you tell Katarina you’re willing to let me go.]
“Okay.”
Edith stood, waiting for Seth to join her. She grasped Seth’s hand as soon as he was next to her. Of course, he didn’t know about her agreement with Katarina. She ignored Seth’s question about Julie’s strange behaviour.
“You can take Julie with you, Katarina.”
“Oh, I love it. Well, I’ll break my blood ties to her in front of you. Julie cancels your spell on me. ”
Julie cast a spell on a word Edith didn’t understand. A few seconds later, Katarina was able to move freely. Katarina took out a dagger from under her dress and cut a gash on the ring finger of her left hand.
The effect of Katarina’s magic made Julie feel lighter as she felt her body weight. Julie raised her face to Katarina and looked deeply at the woman. Not wanting to waste any time, Katarina immediately swung her hand to open the portal.
“We’re leaving now, Julie.”
“I understand.”

“We have to build the pack house in the next few weeks. I was thinking that I would change the design to be more modern.”
Seth talked to Jadden about a good design for the pack house. After his business was done with the beta, he had to check on Edith, who was still moody since Julie’s departure. He also felt lost, but he was still the Alpha. Seth must remain strong despite the problems in his path.
Seth walked out of his workroom to go back to his room. When he opened the door, Seth saw Edith covering her face with both hands. Seth heard his wife crying out their daughter’s name.
“Honey?”
“I miss her, Seth.”
“Julie will come back. She promised, didn’t she?”
Edith was still devastated by Julie’s leaving. Her fearful thoughts of Julie becoming a witch like Katarina made her cringe even more. Lost in her grief, Edith did not realise that Seth was standing behind her.
The man stood staring at the empty air in front of him, which turned into an orange circle that grew larger and larger. He narrowed his eyes, waiting for something to happen next. Seth knew that the circle was a portal created by someone.
“Edith, look,” Seth said with an incredulous look.
“I’m back… mum, dad.”
“Is it really you?” asked Edith, who immediately got out of bed to approach Julie.
“What happened to Katarina?” Seth has now asked.
Julie recounted how she had kept Katarina trapped in limbo by leaving her badly injured and with strong seal magic. It took a lot of effort for Julie to paralyse the witch. Only paralysed, because Julie could not kill Katarina. The witch was too dangerous to be in the human world.
Edith hugged her daughter tightly until Julie finally collapsed from exhaustion. Seth helped Edith lay her daughter on the bed so that she could rest. Nothing made Edith happier than being able to hug her daughter again and live peacefully with her family.
