“How was your sleep, baby?”
Seth kissed Edith on the nape to say good morning. As the sunshine entered the bedroom window, Edith groaned feebly and blinked her eyes several times to adjust. Edith rotated her body to face Seth.
“I’m already more refreshed; did you sleep long enough?” she questioned.
“Long lasting for two centuries. In addition to Luna from Red Crescent Moon and the hybrid, you’re also a sleeping princess, Seth said as he began to play with Edith’s hair, which was falling down her cheeks.
Edith sat down on the bed right away. She took a quick look around the room to make sure nothing had changed. Edit was relieved.
Edith found no changes in the room’s furniture layout or surroundings. She panicked and realised that Seth had just been insulting her. Seth simply laughed at Edith’s fear while relishing his fresh start with his wife.
“You slept as normal. You’re being more anxious than I anticipated. I can’t help but tease you, baby.”
Edith wandered around in search of Julie’s whereabouts. After getting used to taking care of Julie without anyone else, Edith had forgotten that Anne was now Julie’s nanny. Seth immediately understood without Edith having to ask him about Julie.
“You didn’t ask me? How cruel!” Seth chuckled softly.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to be rude to you. I’m used to getting up early to take care of Juliette, and I overslept this time.”
Seth gave a playful wink and exclaimed, “As Luna, you’ll just have to fuck with me.”
Edith threw a pillow at Seth, which, of course, was parried by Seth. Edith pursed her lips and mumbled incoherently. She was about to get off the bed, but Seth’s hand was already holding her waist.
“I’m serious. I thought after becoming a hybrid you wouldn’t produce that intoxicating scent, but it seems to be getting stronger. You’re making something of mine go tight.”
Edith widened her eyes. She understood what Seth meant. She held Seth’s bite mark on her neck, and as she touched it, Edith felt a strange thrill run through her body.
“This bite mark… is this what it feels like?”
“Yeah… I’ve heard she-wolf gossip; it feels like that. When a werewolf marks its mate, they connect with each other. I feel the scent of pheromones emanating strongly from your body, and my reaction will be felt by you as well. Do you like it?” Seth chuckled in the end.
“Yeah… indirectly. You’re still that Seth who acts impulsively constantly and spreads his charms till my brain bursts; you never change. I can’t help but feel angry with you and even more eager, bloody hell, since you bit me.”
Seth, who had now turned his body to be on top of Edith, pleaded with her, “Answer me, do you like what I do?”
Edith pretended not to hear by looking the other way. Now she wanted to tease Seth back. The man’s charm never faded, so a part of Edith wanted Seth more than anything.
Edith looked at Seth’s eyes, which had turned yellow. She understood that sign. Before Seth started to dominate, Edith had already whispered in his ear, “Alpha Seth, morning sex with you is always great. I always love the way you touch every ounce of me.”
The next second, Edith was already licking Seth’s lips, which were so tempting. She took out her fangs and bit down on those lips, making Seth moan and turn his face back.
“You’re so dangerous,” cackled Seth.
“You’re teasing me, so who’s to bite me? Feel the consequences!” interrupted Edith before she began to explore every inch of his lips.
“You’re starting to play rough, huh?”
Edith didn’t answer; she just continued to squeeze those lips with pressure. She savoured every sensation until her soft moans were heard by Seth.
Seth turned Edith’s body and inserted his own, sinking it so deep that Edith repeatedly moaned to release her desire. There was no gentle play this morning, as Seth continued to pump his cock into her with speed and pressure.
Seth felt his passion satisfied as Edith responds with more of the same, until both of their bodies are covered in sweat. Seth reached his climax and slammed into her for the last time.
“Yours is so addictive, baby.”
“Only you turn me on like this, Seth.”
Edith lay face down on the bed. Sex in the morning excited her, either because of Seth’s marking or because both of them had not had it in a long time. She felt like she was alive again, even though she was literally dead.
“Let’s take a shower because after breakfast I want to take you guys for a walk.”
“Where are we going?”
“You’ll see.”

“Why are we here?”
Edith looked straight at the signboard that read Lawson Boarding School for the Young and Gifted in front of her. She still didn’t understand why they were here now.
Seth interjected, “Julian wanted to go to school, so I decided to send him here. I’m saying it now because I want to make a surprise. What do you think?”
“Is this school like Abberforth?” asked Edith.
“It’s almost the same, except it’s for all supernatural beings, and the founder is my mom’s dad, so Julian or Juliette already have access to their education here. I also consider that they are not purely of the wolf race, so any knowledge of their supernatural powers will be honed here.”
Edith looked at Seth with a look of admiration. She also agreed with Seth’s reasons for sending their children here. Edith felt that time was passing so quickly that she was already a parent who had to enrol her child in school when she was only 19 years old.
“Mummy, why are you doing nothing?” asked Julian, who was already tugging on Edith’s hand.
“Ah no, I can’t call you Little Caramel anymore because you’ll be embarrassed with your friends. You’re growing up fast, honey.”
“You can keep calling me that, mum. If anyone teases me, I’ll stick my claws in his neck so he can’t make a sound.”
“Hey, where did you learn that? Mummy never taught you to be rude to your friends.”
“But dad said that I have to defend you, mum.” Julian argued as he stole a glance at Seth, who was chuckling beside Edith.
“Mummy’s son doesn’t have to fight with his friends to defend mummy or dad. You just need to focus on your studies and ignore those who are teasing you. We can defend ourselves. Your daddy is Alpha; he is very strong, and your mummy is half Veela and half Vampire. No one can defeat the power of both of us. Do you understand, honey?”
Edith saw Julian’s strong nod. Her son had grown up like Seth, with his arrogance and temperament. Edith thought about the possibility that little Seth might be like Julian now.
“Wow, you’re a very cool mummy,” said Seth.
“I just don’t want Julian to follow your troublemaking behaviour, Seth. He’s my son too; his power should make him humble, not arrogant. He has Alpha gifts from you; if we don’t guide him, he could get lost.”
“Hopefully he can find a mate like his mummy.”
“Your words sound ambiguous, Seth. So where do we go from here?”
Edith interrupted. She, too, felt both nervous and curious about this. Registering her baby for school was an experience Edith didn’t expect. Edith stroked Julian’s blonde hair and rubbed her chest with her other hand. Her heart began to work abnormally.
“We met my uncle.”
