Fourty years ago…
A man was running fast on the side of the highway in the middle of the night. He was just running without a destination; he just thought he had to run as fast as possible so that no one could ever catch up with him. Amidst his ragged breathing, he felt so scared that he didn’t even look back.
The man saw car beam lights from the opposite direction; his eyes narrowed slightly so that his pace would not stop. He had to quickly find a hiding place, but the thirst in his throat was tormenting him. He just wanted to drink as much as possible, so that his thirst would be quenched.
He didn’t know how long he had been running. The longer he ran, the more parched his throat felt. He had to quickly find someone to help him quench his thirst.
He saw a woman walking gingerly. He thought maybe she could help him. She was the only person on the pavement in the middle of the night like this. He hoped that she would be kind to him.
He quickly approached the woman and asked, “Excuse me, miss. Can I ask you a favour?”
“Hi, handsome. You look really messed up; would you like some company?” the woman asked with a seductive smile.
“No, I just feel thirsty, miss. Can you help me?”
“I don’t have any water, but there’s a bar next door, and I can order you a drink.”
The man followed the woman, who walked in the direction she pointed. He watched her surroundings as she walked ahead of him. The man could no longer bear the thirst that was tormenting him. He grabbed her roughly by the hand and led her into a narrow alley that he could see from where he was standing.
He pushed her body against the wall and looked around once more. He could see her veins when he touched her neck, and he could hear very clearly how every bit of blood flowed from her heart.
“You’re so impatient, but I like it,” the woman said.
The woman’s fingers skillfully undid the belt around his waist. While she was busy removing his trousers, he kissed her neck and took in her scent.
He took out his two fangs and plunged them into her neck. She moaned in pain, but he ignored her. He held her body, which was about to slump to the ground, with his two hands so that her body could still stand straight with him.
The man brutally sucked her blood dry. He removed his fangs from her neck and became frantic as he saw her fall to the ground motionless.
He bent down and shook her awake, but she remained silent. Amidst his confusion, he heard someone’s voice from within the darkness.
“She’s already dead; you just drained her blood.”
“I… I didn’t. That’s not right. Who are you?”
The man ruffled his hair and felt very frustrated. The thirst in his throat was less excruciating but was replaced by panic attacking his brain.
“I’m just like you. You’re in transition. You will continue like that for a month; however, if you like, I can give you what you really want right now.”
The man was pensive; he straightened his body to listen to the rest of the voice. He saw a female figure come out from behind the darkness. She approached the man, who was standing still, and touched his shoulder.
“What’s your name?” the woman asked.
“Kai Henderson.”
“Bonjour Kai! Are you interested in my offer?”
Kai didn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to be tormented by the thirst that was choking his throat. He only thought that the woman in front of him was someone who could help him.
“Please help me, lady!”

Kai saw that almost every side and corner of the nightclub was full of figures sucking blood from their partners. With his sense of smell, he noticed the smell of fresh blood filling the entire room. He walked after the woman to one of the tables with someone sitting there.
“Hi Alec, Do you have any stock tonight?”
Alec lifted his face and stared for a split second at Kai. After taking in every inch of Kai’s looks, he glanced back at the woman and asked, “O, negative, but you know it’s twice the price.”
“It’s no big deal; my new friend is just adapting.”
Alec snapped his fingers at one of the men standing next to a door. The man nodded his head and went inside the door. After a few minutes, the man came out, followed by a young blonde woman. They approached Alec and spoke in a foreign language.
“Would you like to book a room?” asked Alec, who had raised his head to look at the woman.
“Yes, of course,” replied the woman as she looked at Kai with a different look.
After making the payment, Alec told the man to escort Kai and the woman to the room they had booked. Kai and the young woman followed the woman and man up to the second floor of the club.
They arrived at a door; the three of them entered the room, and the man left them by closing the door again. The woman approached Kai and whispered, “You will do as I say because I will guide you so that you can control yourself and not kill her, understand?” The woman commanded by gently holding Kai’s jaw.
Kai nodded, but he still felt confused as to what they would do next in this room.
The woman approached the young woman and asked, “What’s your name?”
“Dorothy,” the young woman replied.
The woman pulled her by the hand to sit on the sofa. Afterwards, she immediately took out her fangs and placed them on her neck. The woman’s face relaxed as she sucked her blood. She lowered her face and straightened herself again.
“Your turn; if I say stop, then you have to do it. From now on, you must learn to control yourself.”
In contrast to the woman who moved away, Kai approached the young woman. He took out his fangs and immediately plunged them into her neck. Kai was savouring her blood, which tasted very sweet to him. The woman’s blood made him so addicted that he continued to suck it.
The woman saw that the skin on the young woman’s face was getting pale, and she understood. She approached Kai and whispered to him to stop his activities immediately. The woman’s voice was so intimidating to him, as was the grip of her hand, which pulled Kai’s hand so strongly. Obeying, Kai lowered his face and wiped the blood on the corner of his lips with his thumb. Kai felt a pleasure he hadn’t felt since he started sucking blood.
“Well done, Kai. Merci Dorothy, step out; we’re done with you.”
The young woman quickly stepped out of the room to leave them alone. As soon as the door to the room closed, the woman moved quickly over to Kai and touched his face.
“It’s time for me to ask for your return, Kai.”
“I’ll gladly do it, Sophie.” muttered Kai with a grin.
Kai put his hands around Sophie’s waist and pulled her closer to him. Her lips were already wrapped around Sophie’s sweet lips. Kai felt her arousal begin to rise as Sophie kissed her back. Kai wrapped her tongue around her mouth and tasted every inch of it.
Kai’s hand ran to the back of the dress Sophie was wearing, pulling the zip down and leaving the plain, white body of her in front of him. He lowered his face and looked deeply at Sophie.
“Thank you, love.”
Sophie saw the colour of Kai’s beady eyes change from bright red to fiery yellow. She saw a different aura on Kai’s body this time. She took a step back and looked at Kai in surprise.
“You… no, this must be wrong. This can’t be!”
