Red Crescent Moon’s Pack House

Their conversation is interrupted by a ringing call coming in from Seth’s cell phone. Seth got up and walked in the direction of the ringing sound. It’s voice came from the direction of the kitchen; he put his phone there while picking up vodka from inside the cabinet.
Seth looked at the screen on his phone, showing Doctor Ashley’s name as the caller. Seth moved the green icon and put the phone in his ear.
“Oh, Doc… Are you sure? I thought the data I received was accurate. Well, we will meet you there. Thank you, Ashley.”
Seth ended the call to coincide with Edith arriving before him. Seth took a deep look at Edith. In her heart, there was gratitude that her question was answered after Ashley’s information through the phone conversation just now. But he also felt afraid that Edith might be in danger.
‘The world is not safe for the supernatural,’ the voice in his mind kept saying over and over again. This is evidenced by the attack Edith received some time ago by the black wolf in the forest.
“What’s wrong, Seth?”
“Get ready; we are going to the pack house.”
*
Edith saw a mansion with two floors. The courtyard is so large that it is possible to build a stadium on it. She has been standing in front of a double door made of black wood, adding to the impression that this luxurious house has been standing for decades.
“Whose house is this?” Edith asked without turning her gaze in the other direction.
“This is our home, Red Crescent Moon’s Pack House.”
“Then why do you live in the other house when you all live here?”
“It’s just a whim; sometimes I can’t control my wolf hormones and need heating. I brought my girlfriend to the house. It’s too noisy here, and I prefer a quieter place when doing it.”
Edith widened her eyes. Her whole body became tense when Seth talked about it. Edith understood what it meant. She has grown up and will soon become a mother; she has also gone through it so that she can get pregnant, like now. But hearing it clearly from Seth makes him snort harshly and still think that Seth is a badboy, as is Casanova.
“I’m just kidding, baby. Teasing you like this makes me want to have you even more. Honestly, you look beautiful even when you’re angry.” Seth chuckled softly as he opened the door.
“Bloody werewolf.”
“Julian, your mother kept swearing at me when, a while ago, she told herself that she was starting to accept me, and now she’s not consistent with what she says.”
“Julian, it was your father who acted out first. If he wasn’t annoying, maybe I would have liked him a long time ago.”
“Gotcha! A little confession. Thank you, little wolf.” Seth’s gaze turned to Edith’s belly.
Edith covered her mouth. She didn’t expect that she had just said something she avoided the most. She slipped of the tongue, but strangely, she seemed to feel that a burden had been lost from the depths of her heart. She sighed and followed Seth’s lead.
Edith saw a red-haired man walk up to Seth and greet him, “Hey, pal! Want to arm-wrestle with me?”
“You’ve lost 25 times to me, Jed. You should try another challenge to beat me.”
“Jerk! Why are you here, Seth?”
“I want to see Emma; is she in her room?”
“It looks like Jen was consulting with her earlier; it might just be done.”
“What’s wrong with your twin?”
“She met her mate in a dream, who turned out to be the vocalist of the band at school.”
“Troy Finnegan? He is a werewolf too.” Edith replied softly, making the two people in front of her turn to her.
“I told you. Our school is a special school for werewolves; have you forgotten? And you know her, Edith? I thought you were a loner girl.” Seth squinted when he asked. There was a hint of agitation in his voice.
“Ah, yes, I’m sorry, I forgot. I don’t know if I should tell you, Seth.”
“Speak!” Seth’s tone turned flat. The man had already smelled something fishy from Edith’s statement.
“He once asked me to be his girlfriend. I thought it was one of his tricks, so I refused. I don’t like band personnel anyway; they are prone to cheating.”
Edith told the truth. She didn’t like that man, either. Edith had seen him fondling a girl in the infirmary, and for Edith, it was the most cringe-worthy thing she had ever seen. Edith saw Seth, who had already published his smile again. She didn’t expect that she would see so many expressions shown by Seth in such a short time.
Edith felt her hand instantly grasped by Seth as they walked away from the mansion’s front hall. Now the two of them have arrived at the door with a red crescent carved in the middle of the door.
Seth opened the door and pulled Edith in slowly. Inside the room, an old woman was sitting on her knees on the floor. Her eyes closed, and Edith felt an extremely strong aura from the woman.
Seth sat on the floor some distance away from the woman, as if he wanted to make space for her. Edith decided to sit quietly beside Seth. She just observed the woman and waited silently.
Five minutes later, there was movement from the woman. Edith saw her resting her hands on the floor to stand up from her seat. Seth swiftly approached the woman and helped her up.
“Hi, Emma. How are you doing?”
“Getting older, Seth. Hi, Edith. Do you like tea, dear?”
“Yes, lemon tea, please.”
“Seth, please make it for us. You make it yourself; add honey to it. He likes the tea you made.”
Seth nodded. He stepped out, leaving Edith and Emma alone in the room.
“Is there something you want to ask me, dear?”
Edith thought about it for a while. She thought that Emma was some kind of werewolf elder with supernatural powers, but she was not sure what she saw at this time. The woman wears a ripped t-shirt and jeans with a headband and some piercing on her ears and nose, which suggests she exists more like a motorcycle gang member than an oracle.
“Don’t doubt me. I like this style, and I used to be a member of a motorcycle gang too. It still sticks with me, even at the age of 150. You can start with what makes you obscure, dear.”
“Hmm. I often forget. There was another part of me that took over. I’m afraid of having DID, Emma.”
“Multiple personalities are only experienced by humans as manifestations of the subconscious because of traumatic events in the past, whereas what you experience is much more than that. You’re supernatural beings, just like us werewolves. I saw the blue aura exuding from your body. All supernatural beings have an aura that can be seen by other supernatural beings.”
“But I’m a mortal. At least, that’s all I know. I still don’t understand.”
“So do I. I still haven’t gotten a clue what kind you are, but I can confirm that you are a supernatural being. The supernatural indications shown by magic energy are extremely rare. I haven’t seen it in my entire life.”
