June kicked against the people who tried to clean her up. “I said I’m alright!” She yelled. “I don’t need you guys waiting on me! I want to be alone.”
One of the medical professionals tried to reason with her. “You need to have-”
“I don’t care to hear what you have to say.” She cut him off rudely. “Just leave me some time alone, please!”
Zeus stepped into the tent where June was getting treated. “Everyone. Leave.” He ordered and the place emptied in seconds.
“I’m calling it off.” He announced, leaving no room for refusal. It only worsened June’s mood. “This is done with. No more.”
“Why? You think I can’t do it? Are you ashamed of me too? Do you think I will die at her hands?!” At this point, she was berserk.
“I never said that.” Zeus reached for her hand but she was far gone.
“You implied it! You implied it with your words, Zeus!” She roared. “You know what? I want you to leave. I’ve had a terrible day and I’ll be better without any of you crowding my personal space.”
“Don’t speak to me like that..” he gritted. “I know you are upset but that doesn’t -”
“Upset?” June scoffed in disbelief. “I am not upset, Zeus! I’m freaking livid! I hate that the darned wolf inside me would sit back and sleep while I get beat up!”
“I hate that Augusta is stuck hiding inside me while I face her drama! I hate everything right now Zeus, so please, please just leave.”
June’s voice broke at the end. She felt her wolf’s presence as soon as she regained consciousness but put up the mental block immediately.
She didn’t want to be with anyone who couldn’t come through in time of need. Even if it was her own wolf.
There and then, she decided to go through with the remaining part of the exercise banking on her abilities alone. No more disappointments.
The high time she forgot about the wolf that lived within her and moved forward with her life the better for her.
Zeus felt a strong urge to rip Tara’s head off. However, his mate was clearly distressed and although his wolf was ready to rip Tara to shreds, he knew June needed him more.
She tried to touch her but stopped halfway. This wasn’t his strongest suit. Left to him, he’d tie her down and let her get treatment, but it was clear that June wouldn’t buy that idea.
“Let me.” Zeus heard Rafael speak to him. “Let me speak to her.”
June turned around, ready to give Zeus a piece of her mind but came face to face with gentle brown orbs she’s missed so much.
The words died at the tip of her tongue. “R-Rafael?” She stuttered, blinking back tears. “Is that you?”
Rafael didn’t waste words. He closed the gap between them and dragged her flush against him. “Baby.” He murmured and captured her bloodied lips in a gentle kiss.
June wept into the kiss. Within minutes, she was ripping Zeus’ clothes off, and with intense kisses, navigated herself down his shaft.
A loud exhale escaped her lips as soon as their genitals connected on the medical bed. This time, June was in charge. She rode him slowly, taking everything she wanted at her pace, until she couldn’t take it anymore.
She leaned into him and bit his earlobe while working her waist down his shaft. One wouldn’t believe she was beat up with how perfectly she worked her waist.
“Please…” She whispered into his ears. “Take me…”
That was all the motivation he needed to flip her over. Rafael’s eyes glowed as he held her down and slammed into her.
June was pushed to the edge with one single thrust from him. Her core gripped around him and in that moment, Zeus and his wolf came forward, trying to share in the moment.
Rafael let them and June felt it immediately. Her body burned with sweet tingles as her needs were met. Amplifying the experience.
Unknown to them, their sexual relations was public to the entire pack who lounged in the field after the first round.
They had all seen Zeus walk into the tent and the sounds of their lovemaking was public to everyone with a functioning ear.
Including Tara.
“She’s such a whore.” She cussed and shook with anger. “She lost the darned match, I’d think she’d be ashamed but she’s getting handsy with him.”
Georgina escalated the situation. “It’s clear that Augusta cannot be taken out of the Alpha’s life. She is his fated mate. He was made for her.”
Tara’s anger increased at the words. “She might be his mate, but not for long.” They walked out of the field side by side.
Georgina smiled. “I reckon you did as I instructed.”
Tara responded flippantly. “Using wolfsbane on her was a waste of time. She isn’t as strong as you imagine.”
“I already warned you. Do not ruin your chances by carelessness.” Georgina said. “You only won that round because her wolf didn’t come to play.”
“Your worry is needless.” Tara said, “She’s useless with or without her werewolf. It’s an insult to sabotage someone so weak.”
“I will prove it to you in our next match.” Tara said haughtily. “She is no match for me.”
“I won’t repeat myself.” She said, refusing to speak on the topic any longer.
Meanwhile, June and Rafael collapsed on the bed, silently staring at each other. They had a good run and June finally felt better.
“You don’t have to do it, you know.” Rafael said, breaking the silence. “You could call it quits with no questions asked.”
“I want to.” She muttered, cuddling closer to him. “I want to do it.”
Rafael placed a kiss on her temple. “I hated seeing you get beaten, June. I felt every punch. We all did.”
That brought a smile to her face. “I bet you did.” She joked, and winced.
Rafael got up from the bed and took the medical supplies. While they settled on other matters, he had forgotten her pressing medical needs.
“What are you doing?” June asked when he came forward with the supplies.
“Cleaning you up.” He muttered, and got to taking care of her face. “I want to kill her.” He said when she hissed in pain.
“Why aren’t they helping you?” Rafael sounded frustrated. “Your wolf is there isn’t she? Why isn’t she healing you?”
The thought of letting her go through the slow process of healing while there were other ways around it was painful to Rafael who watched her get beaten to a pulp.
He wanted the pain to end immediately and was ready to drag out Augusta’s wolf if that was the cost. June shut it down immediately.
“I don’t know and I don’t care.” She snapped. “I cut off communication with them when they abandoned me at the fight then tried to speak to me when I regained consciousness.”
“They cut off communication with you?” Rafael asked, unable to wrap his head around her words.
With the little experience living in Zeus, he understood it was almost impossible to cut off communication with your beast.
They might be silent, but there is never a case of totally cutting them off. Even with the walls intact.
“I don’t want to talk about it, Rafael.” She said, picking offence. “Can you let it go?”
Rafael placed a kiss on her temple, deciding this was not the best time to speak on it. Zeus took over with one thought.
To get to the root of the situation.
