I took a deep breath as I saw Care and Mia sitting at the edge of the bed. They looked anxious, as though they had made a huge mistake and feared I might punish them. Watching them attentively, I shifted my position to sit between them, ensuring they felt comfortable enough to talk.
“So, is there something you two want to tell me?” I asked gently, slipping an arm around each of them.
Care gave Mia a quick glance before nodding. “Well… Mia and I have been mind-linking for a couple of weeks now,” he admitted softly.
I tilted my head, curious. “Mind-linking, huh?” I echoed, giving him a little nudge to explain more.
Mia, still fidgeting, finally spoke up. “Yeah, Mom. I found out when Care somehow heard me… when I was being bullied at school. I didn’t say a word, but I felt like I could call out to him in my head, and he just knew I needed help.”
I watched their faces closely, catching the mix of nerves and uncertainty there. “Why didn’t you tell me about this sooner?” I asked, keeping my tone calm but curious.
Care took a deep breath. “We were scared you’d think we were… weird. So, we decided to keep it to ourselves-even from you.” He hesitated before adding, “We thought… maybe you wouldn’t love us the same anymore.”
I couldn’t help but smile, pulling them closer. “Listen, no matter what, my love for you isn’t going anywhere. Being different? That’s not something to be ashamed of-it’s a gift. Sometimes, it just takes a while to see the good in it.”
Their eyes shimmered with unshed tears, and I looked back and forth between them. “Promise me one thing, though,” I said softly. “Don’t show this ability to anyone else-especially not your friends.”
Mia and Care exchanged a look, then nodded in unison. “We promise, Mom,” they said firmly.
Grinning, I held up my pinky finger. Without missing a beat, they hooked theirs around mine. “You two are incredible, you know that? But sometimes, it’s smarter to keep certain things under wraps. Just be wise about when and how you use this, okay?”
I had already thought about this situation beforehand. Thankfully, I managed to handle it calmly. A secret had been revealed, but at least the twins now understood their abilities and how special they were. All that was left was to find the right words to explain the origins of their powers as werewolf descendants.
Leaving their room, I allowed them to rest before dinner. I intended to relax in my own room before we headed out to a restaurant for dinner together. My steps faltered when I noticed Castor standing in the middle of the living room, his gaze fixed on me as if he had been waiting.
“Are you done with the twins?” he asked.
“Yes, they’re calmer now. Where’s Alpha Pollux?”
“Preparing the restaurant for dinner. I don’t want the presence of humans to disrupt us later.”
I swallowed hard. For some reason, Castor’s tone sounded different when he mentioned humans. There was a distinct emphasis on the word ‘humans’ that made my heart race.
Castor’s dominating aura filled the entire room. His gaze turned cold and sharp, and I realized he was angry.
“Luna Godiva, do you realize the mistake you’ve made?”
My heartbeat quickened, and a chill ran through me as I heard Castor’s question. Now I understood the direction of this conversation. Lowering my head, I let my regret surface in the form of tears.
“My decision to leave the Moonstone Pack was a huge mistake.”
“And?”
I still couldn’t bring myself to look at him. Another grave mistake I had made was letting my emotions waver. I regretted what I had done with Declan.
“I betrayed you.”
“Do you understand the kind of punishment I give to traitors?” His voice was low and firm, yet it cut deeply, shaking what little courage I had left.
Summoning what strength I could, I swallowed the lump of anxiety in my throat. “I know it was wrong, Alpha Castor,” I said, my voice trembling despite my attempt to sound resolute. “But at the time, I thought our bond was over.” My words felt empty, insignificant in the face of his anger and dominance.
He stepped closer, so near that my breath caught. Castor didn’t raise his voice, yet his presence was overwhelming, like a cold wind piercing through me.
“Over?” he repeated softly, almost a whisper, yet his tone was resolute. “I would never replace you unless I were dead. Only death can end this bond.”
His words left me stunned, and I lowered my gaze, feeling small in his presence. His command wrapped around me, subduing me without resistance. There was a peculiar fear, intertwined with an undeniable attraction to his dominance and raw strength.
“But… if this is the punishment I must face,” I whispered hesitantly, “I will accept it.”
A faint smile crossed his lips-not entirely devoid of anger, but with a hint of acknowledgment for my courage. Castor leaned closer, gently but firmly lifting my chin, forcing me to meet his intense gaze. His touch-soft yet commanding-sent shivers down my spine.
“Godiva,” he whispered, his words sinking into me. “If you truly surrender to me, it means every part of your being is under my control. Do you understand?”
My heart raced as I stood on the precipice of absolute submission. In his eyes, I saw the undeniable power of an Alpha-impossible to resist, stripping away any remnants of defiance within me.
I closed my eyes briefly, bracing myself against the overwhelming emotions. Each passing second dragged on, until I felt the warmth of his breath against my face, startlingly close. When I opened my eyes, our faces were mere inches apart, mirroring the intensity of our first encounter. I couldn’t resist him.
“I’m losing my mind because of you, Godiva.”
“I’m sorry. Will you give me a chance to make things right?”
“Yes. Now, kneel.”
Without hesitation, I lowered myself to my knees, pressing them firmly to the floor. Every movement Castor made seemed to command my submission, urging me to remain beneath him, obedient to his dominance. Slowly, he removed his clothing piece by piece, letting it fall to the floor in a deliberate, calculated manner.
Completely bare, he exuded a magnetic allure that dared me to make the first move. Closing the distance between us, I reached out instinctively, my hand wrapping around his firm form. My touch moved with deliberate care, drawing satisfaction with every gentle, rhythmic motion.
Soft gasps escaped him, sounds I hadn’t realized how much I’d missed until now. Those quiet breaths spurred me on, driving me to bring him to the peak of pleasure. Determined to achieve it for both of us, I leaned forward, surrendering completely to the moment as I took him fully.
Rationality or restraint no longer mattered. An unrelenting need guided me, and I grew bolder, moving with greater fervor. Each sensation coursing through me only solidified my resolve-I refused to let go of this connection, this overwhelming intensity.
To me, no one could ever replace Castor.
“Stand,” he commanded.
His strong hand hovered in the air, and with a single swift motion of his claws, my clothing was torn away, leaving me as bare as he was. He moved so quickly that I barely had time to process before I felt the cool surface of the bed against my back.
Now, I could see his face clearly-a vision of absolute perfection unmatched by anyone else I had ever encountered.
In just a few moments under his touch, I felt myself unraveling. My hands instinctively roamed over his skin, tracing the form I was fated to be bound to. The thought that the universe had given me a mate like him left me both in awe and completely undone. My mind ceased to function, and I gave in entirely, every breath I released a testament to the hold he had over me.
“Take me into you, Alpha.”
