How could I refuse him?
Every touch of his against my skin awakened my wolf, making me feel wild, uncontrollable. With him, I couldn’t resist; he was the only one who stirred this reaction within me. The time that separated us and the pain that took root in my heart felt distant now.
My skirt was already lifted, leaving only a thin piece of fabric as my last line of defense. As Pollux’s fingers grazed my most sensitive area, I let out a soft gasp, doing my best to keep quiet so no one outside the room would hear. The desire we had suppressed for so long begged for release, but we both knew we couldn’t, only adding to the torment.
“Holding it in will only give you a headache, Luna,” he whispered.
I knew he was right, which only made my frustration grow. Giving in would be the only way to ease this burning within me. His every touch, every brush of his breath against my skin, drove me to want more.
My hands found their way to his head beneath me, guiding him as he spread my thighs apart to explore me. His warm touch sent shivers through me, each gentle movement igniting something fierce within.
My head fell back against the glass wall, and I could only feel Pollux’s hands gripping my legs, his touch making me lose myself, my breaths mixing with his name.
“Take me, Pollux…”
“This is your punishment-until you can’t even think of letting anyone else touch you like this,” he growled.
I didn’t care, not even as my release spilled over, my legs weakening until I could barely stand. Watching him wipe his lips with his thumb, sensual and intense, made me shiver all over again.
He helped me back to the edge of the desk, quickly turning me around with a swift move. I heard the sound of a zipper, and then he entered me, his warmth filling me and drawing a gasp from my lips.
“Tell me if I go too far, Luna,” he murmured.
I nodded quickly, a bead of sweat trickling down to the desk as his rhythmic movements sent waves of fire through my body. He gripped my wrists, guiding my movements to match his pace.
“Am I hurting you?”
“No,” I whispered, breathless. “I’m not… I’m not pregnant.”
“Then I’ll make you pregnant again, give us another pup, and…”
“I feel alive,” I gasped, echoing his thoughts.
My body burned with a different kind of fire, filling me with energy as the tingling sensation spread through my skin. I closed my eyes, allowing this energy to flow through me, grateful for the strange gift from my mother, even if I didn’t understand it.
Our bond heightened all my senses, and I heard the excited chatter of Care and Mia as they got out of the car. I quickly asked Pollux to finish our mating session.
“The kids-who did they come with?” I asked, smoothing my skirt.
“I asked Alvise to bring them over.”
I hurriedly fixed my hair, my messed appeareance and applying a quick layer of lip balm. I glanced around the room to ensure everything looked normal, spraying a hint of lavender fragrance. The door opened just as I put on a composed smile.
“Mommy, look! Care and I won first place in the obstacle jumping contest!” Mia, usually reserved about her school activities, was now beaming, holding a prize bag. Care, on the other hand, stood with his arms crossed, looking unbothered.
“Wow, you two are amazing! Should Mommy give you both a special reward?”
Mia eagerly agreed, while Care shrugged it off, his gaze locked on Pollux sitting on the sofa. I noticed a strange tension between them.
[Who are you? What are you doing in my mom’s office?] Care’s voice rang in my mind, his tone confident despite being only four and a half years old. I hadn’t expected him to be able to mind-link at his age. Pollux responded, introducing himself as the Alpha of the Moonstone Pack.
[Are Alphas like superheroes? You look strong.] Care’s innocent question made Pollux and me chuckle, and he nodded with a small smile.
I almost forgot about Beta Alvise. He gave me a respectful nod before he and Trisha left, leaving the four of us alone. I helped Mia unpack her prize, glancing now and then at the awkward exchange between Care and her father.
“Mom, is that man your friend?” Mia asked suddenly.
I took a deep breath. I’d once told them that their father was busy working abroad, and they’d been curious about it for a while, often comparing themselves to their friends who were accompanied by their fathers. Over time, they stopped asking.
“He’s someone very precious to me. We were separated for a while, but now we’re together again.”
“Is he your husband?” Mia’s gaze drifted to Pollux.
“He was.”
“Why not anymore?”
“There’s… unresolved things between us.” I quickly changed the subject. “Did you both have fun today?”
“I did, but I’m not sure about Care. He seemed embarrassed to team up with me during the race,” Mia replied.
“You were just jumping randomly; I had to keep up to make sure we didn’t fall behind the others,” Care replied, making me smile.
I could already imagine how the twins had spent their day at school. Care, always the playful one, was protective of his sister, and I felt confident entrusting them to their teachers and supervisors.
“Did you go to the park with Uncle Alvise?”
“Yes! He took us to the park and bought us ice cream,” Mia recounted, happily describing their activities with Beta Alvise and Trisha. I’d caught Alvise stealing a glance at Trisha before they left. I had once overheard Trisha murmuring Alvise’s name in her sleep, so their chemistry didn’t surprise me.
While the twins played with their new toys in a corner of my office, I checked our travel plans. Once I got confirmation from the agency, I asked the operations head to close the cafe early for the day. My employees beamed with joy at the surprise time off.
“Where are you planning to go on vacation?” Pollux’s voice caught me off guard; I’d almost forgotten he was in the room and had probably heard my conversation with the travel agent. We would be traveling with Declan, which wasn’t part of my plan.
Nervousness tightened my chest, and my heart raced as I clenched my hands to calm myself. I was trapped in a dilemma, unsure whether I should tell him or keep it a secret. Things would get complicated if Pollux knew the full extent of my plans.
