“It’s true, so now you should rest, Pollux.”
Instead of closing his eyes and lying down quietly, Pollux wrapped his arms around my waist. I held my breath, as being this close made my heart beat faster. These two Melucci twins really made my heart work abnormally.
I stayed still, and somehow Pollux tightened his arms around my body even more. Dealing with a drunken werewolf is beyond my comprehension. Although the fear remained, I tried to push it away.
A part of me responded to his touch, but I still held on because of Pollux’s condition. He was drunk, and I didn’t want him to do it in a semi-conscious state with slurred speech.
“I… want you to forgive me, Godiva. Don’t keep getting angry at me, okay? You make me miserable if you’re always angry, let alone hate me.”
“Okay, I forgive you. Now rest; you’re so stoned that your speech is garbled.”
Of course, he won’t remember what I said when he awakens tomorrow. The most important thing to me was that he had apologized sincerely. I thought that he was too proud to say it when he was sober. I understand his circumstances.
I closed my eyes as Pollux slept, hugging me. Nothing happened between us, as I occasionally woke up to check on Pollux. In the morning, I was completely awake without Pollux by my side.
The only thing I remembered from my agenda today was that I had to go to the Civil Registry and Population Office to register our marriage with Pollux. I had no idea if he remembered or not, but I would look for him after I cleaned up and had breakfast.
“Trisha, have you seen Alpha Pollux?” I asked as Trisha came in carrying breakfast for me on the trolley.
“Good morning, Luna Godiva. I haven’t seen Alpha Pollux today; maybe he’s still sleeping in his room. I brought you a breakfast of tuna sandwiches like humans often eat according to Iride’s orders.”
I forgot to greet Trisha. My mind was entirely occupied with Pollux. Everything about Pollux seems to have been embedded in my brain since yesterday.
I shook my head because I kept thinking about Pollux. Until Trisha had to call me several times to snap me out of my reverie. It’s like my brain had a bug and I had almost no power to control it.
“I’m sorry, Trisha. I’ve been thinking too much lately. Is this one of those pre-wedding panic syndromes?”

“What do you mean, Luna Godiva? I’m sorry, I don’t understand.” Trisha frowned as she squeezed the hem of her uniform shirt.
“I’ve often seen women get anxious when they’re about to get married. I think I’m experiencing the same thing.”
“Do you want to be comforted?”
“Well, that’s not what I meant. I need a friend to have a deep heart-to-heart talk with.”
“Is that like you telling your friend your secrets?”
“Yeah, you could say that.”
Trisha may have been an omega who had never had direct social contact with humans, but I was sure that she understood what I was saying to her. She accompanied me to breakfast while listening to my ramblings without responding. She responded to me by asking questions, although her questions seemed very innocent to me.
I felt better after I chatted with her while doing my personal hygiene activities. I liked the fact the fact that she seemed to understand me. Trisha deserved more than just a salary for the service she gave me.
Her hand gently brushed my hair. Unlike myself, who was always rough and always left clumps of hair on the comb’s serrations, She gently applied skin cream all over my body until my body relaxed.
“It’s done. You are as charming as ever, Luna Godiva.”
“Thank you for your compliments, Trisha.”
Finished with my own preparations, I stepped out of the room towards Pollux’s room. I knocked on his slightly open door. Not hearing an answer from inside after I knocked a few times, I decided to go inside.
I stepped slowly and kept talking to ask permission to enter his room in case Pollux was inside. Finally, I heard a response from inside the toilet. I heard Pollux’s voice, but it was unclear and more like mumbling.
A few minutes later, Pollux came out with no clothes on and only a towel to cover his lower body.
Suddenly, I turned my face in another direction so that I didn’t have to look at Pollux’s appearance like that. I heard his chuckle, but strangely, the sound was getting closer. I felt a cold touch on my cheek, and when I turned around, Pollux was grinning at me.
“What are you doing, Alpha Pollux?”
“Teasing you, of course, sweet pea. Remember what you told me last night?”
I widened my eyes, then stammered, “You remember? But you were drunk last night.”
“Drinking one bottle of liquor will have no effect on me. Uhm, except for that night. That time I finished four bottles, so I lost control. Not with last night. Ah, I’m glad I was honest with you.”
To be honest, Pollux’s attitude left me completely speechless. I raised my head to stare at him without even speaking. When Pollux landed on his lips to kiss me, I willingly welcomed him, and my hands reflexively ran through his hair.
I loved the wetness on my lips as we kissed intensely and became frustrated when Pollux pulled his face away from me. I misbehaved and walked out of his room. I should have waited outside and not entered his room earlier.
“He must be laughing at you, Godiva!”
I smacked my head and planted my feet alternately on the floor. Cursing my own stupidity, I went back and forth in front of his room like a confused person. It wasn’t until Castor approached me that I stopped my movements.
Castor greeted me and kissed my forehead. His warm treatment of me made me calmer. He also reminded me of my agenda with Pollux.
“Maybe Pollux is preparing; just wait.”
“Yeah, I was just in his room.”
“Really?”
Castor’s gaze fell on me. I saw a faint smirk on his lips, and then he left me alone in the corridor. One more mysterious thing about Castor Melucci made me curious about his expression.
I was distracted by Pollux’s hand waving in front of my face. He’s very neatly turned out like the boss of the company, and I spluttered in response to his attitude of always spreading charm. In fact, Pollux never ran out of ideas to always stand out in front of everyone.
There’s always something about his attitude that makes me notice him. No matter how hard I wanted to ignore him, his charm was getting stronger, making me fixated on him. I exhaled my breath roughly.
“Want to share your breath with me?” he asked in a whisper in my ear.
“Pollux! Are you daring me?” I raised one eyebrow and snorted.
“We still have plenty of time, sweet pea. Until then, you’d better save your breath for later. I won’t tolerate you even for a second.”
His last sentence made me shudder. What was on his mind that he had to talk to me like that? I’m still a human, not a werewolf like those who had more energy to make love.
“You must be having fantasies. Is the effect of my charm so strong on you that your heartbeat can be heard by me?”
“What do you mean, Alpha Pollux?” I cleared my throat briefly.
“I can feel and hear your heartbeat, Luna Godiva.”
