Karen slowly stirred awake, the sound of an angry voice waking her up. She Looked around her, her brain taking a moment to register her surroundings.
She as lying on a bed, a bed that was familiar to her. She gasped , her eyes flying wide open. It dawned on her that she had fallen asleep! Next to Kai…
“Oh she’s finally awake!” She heard Verena’s voice snap.
Karen flushed bright red, realizing that she was naked. She jumped out of bed, her body screaming in protest, particularly her cunt. She recalled memories of the previous night, how many times Kai had made her cum, how long her had rammed her for.
No wonder it felt like a truck had passed through her legs!
Karen faced Kai and bowed. “Good morning, My master.” She said softly. “I shall be taking my leave now.”
“You have an hour to return for your duties.” Kai said coldly. Karen felt hurt at his nonchalant tone but she nodded. She turned and came face to face with Verena.
“You little slut..” Verena hissed.
“That’s enough.” Kai said, making her shut up.
Karen bowed and rushed out of the room. She picked up her nightgown in the living room and put it on. Smoothening her hair a bit, she fixed her posture and walked outside. At the very same time, Nicolas was walking towards Kai’s suite.
He saw her and his eyes narrowed in suspicion. “Where are you coming from dressed like that?” He asked.
“Alpha Kai’s room.” Karen said.
“You mean his couch, right?”
Karen shook her head. “No, his room. ” Nicolas’ jaw dropped.
“You’re joking.”
Karen sighed softly. “I’m sorry, but I have things to do. Bye!” She raced off, limp in her step.
Nicolas couldn’t believe what he had just seen. He walked up to Kai’s suite and was about to Knock when the door swung open to reveal Kai dragging Verena by her hair out if his suite.
“Show up here again without a summons and you will find yourself in the dungeons.” Kai said to Verena, his alpha authority rolling off him.
Verena burst into tears and ran off, crying loudly. Nicolas turned and looked at Kai. And his eyes widened even more.
Kai looked different. Positively so. There as a glow on his face, a shine in his eye that Nicolas hadn’t seen in years. He wondered if the girl he saw hurridly leaving had something to do with it.
“Are you going to stand out there and stare at me?” He snapped at Nicolas.
“She’s going to report to daddy.” Nicolas said as he walked in. “And that won’t be funny.”
Kai rolled his eyes and slammed the door. “Whatever.”
Nicolas watched him, disbelief on his face. Kai seemed…. like he had just had a good night’s rest.
“What are you staring at me for?” Kai snapped as he made his way to the kitchen.
“Did you sleep?” Nicolas asked tentatively. “I went to the gym and you weren’t there at your usual four o’clock.”
Kai paused pouring himself a glass of water and turned to Nicolas sharply. “What time is it?”
“It’s almost two.” Nicolas said.
He saw shock flit across Kai’s eyes. “Damn it.” The alpha hissed, sounding angry.
“You don’t seem so pleased you finally had the sleep you had been craving for.”
“I was tired.” He mumbled.
Nicolas didn’t believe him. “Perhaps she’s not that bad afterall.”
Kai glared at him and drank his water. “It wasn’t her. I was simply exhausted.”
Nicolas nodded. “Yes, and you slept through the night and half the day. Oh yes my alpha, simple exhaustion.”
“Don’t talk to me.” Kai grumbled. He put the glass of water down. “Shut your tiny mouth, Nicolas. I’m not in the mood.”
Nicolas raised his hands in surrender. Kai was irritated, which was strange as he had just rested. “Sure thing.”
Kai ignored him. His mind was reeling with the possibilities. As much as he tried to wrap his head around it, he couldn’t under why Karen had made him sleep so soundly. He couldn’t understand why he had taken her to his bed. His bed that he hadn’t even taken Verena to. He couldn’t understand why he let her sleep beside him.
It made him angry and frustrated.
The feeling of peace and relaxation in his body felt like a betrayal. She was Zeke’s daughter. She wasn’t supposed to bring him peace!
Kai took his clothes off and entered the shower. The cold water helped soothe his mind. Only just a bit. He stood under the cold stream till he couldn’t take the water anymore.
He didn’t like how he was feeling inside. Not one bit.

Asher Conan poured his daughter a glass of water, watching her wipe her eyes with a tissue.
“Kai made you cry?” He asked, disbelief on his face.
“Yes,” Verena sobbed. “Daddy he doesn’t want me anymore!”
“But that can’t be true.” Asher said with a soft laugh. “He has to want you. There’s no second choices.”
Verena gulped down the glass of water. “He pushed me away! Like I was a cheap slut! He won’t even touch me again”
“Darling…” Asher hushed, not wanting to heat the details of his daughter’s sex life. “I’m pretty sure it’s the stress getting to him. There’s no way he can do that to you. Not my flame princess.”
“It’s that stupid bugs fault!” Verena wailed out. “Just because she’s his mate, so what?! What does it matter?! He was going p marry me! I was going to be Luna!”
Asher paused. “Darling, who are you talking about?”
Verena paused. “It’s nothing . It’s no one daddy.”
“Darling…” He said, his eyes narrowing. “Who is it that he is choosing over you?”
Verena wiped her eyes. She battled inside her if she should speak or not. But she looked at her father and decided there that she would confide in him.
How dare Kai treat her like shit?! she would show him just who she was. Just who was her father. She had been quiet for too long, letting him do whatever he pleased.
She will not be ridiculed any longer. No matter what it took to win.
“Zeke’s daughter is alive.” Verena said softly.
Asher’s eyes widened. “He had a daughter?!”
“Yes daddy. And not only is she alive, she’s here. In this pack house. Kai…. Kai made her his personal slave!” She burst into tears again, burying her face into her hands. “Just cos she’s his mate! He told me he doesn’t believe in fated mates! But he’s always with her. Daddy he sends me away so he can be with her!”
“What?!” Asher roared, rising to his feet. “How dare he disrespect you in such a manner?!”
“I don’t know!” Verena cried. “Daddy I want her gone! I want Kai back to myself! I want to be his Luna…. and not that man’s daughter!”
“Why hasn’t he killed her?! She bears the blood of that man in her veins! He should have ended Zeke’s bloodline forever!”
“Daddy I want my alpha back…” Verena said, giving him her best puppy dog eyes. “Please… I don’t want him to ever know it was me….”
“Don’t worry my darling.” Asher said, taking deep breaths to calm himself down. “I will take care of that monster myself.”
Verena cheered happily, her tears forgotten. She hugged her father tightly, a satisfied smile on her face. “Thank you so much daddy! I knew you would do something! You’re truly the best father ever!”
Asher hugged his daughter back, anger still brewing inside him. How dare that Kai?! Try to ruin his master plan?!
And Zeke had a daughter?! Asher wondered why he didn’t know about it. Had Zeke hid her away from so long?
And most of all why didn’t Kai kill it when he had the opportunity?!
