“Alejandro, why are you doing this to me?” Her tears-filled eyes bore into his blue eyes with her heart beating loudly. “Tell me, did you have feelings for me?”
The awkward silence that her questions brought sent shivers down her spine, and sweat broke on her forehead as her heart pounded loudly in her heart, seeing him watching her in silence without saying anything to her answered her questions.
She knew it, it was all a trap, and Alejandro could never change for her. “Why are you not saying anything?” Her voice broke with her eyes fixed on him, he stared back at her with no expression on his face. She sniffed climbing off the bed, a tear rolled off her eyes and she quickly wiped it away.
She wouldn’t cry because of his today. “Thank you.” She muttered lowly without turning to him as she walked away, no matter how hard she tried to stop her tears, they kept pouring out of her eyes with each step she took out of the room.
“I’m afraid of three sentences.” His voice finally came up followed by a rumbling sound as he left the bed.
“I want you,”
“I need you,”
“I love you.” She stiffed at his last words followed by his hand on her shoulder which made her tremble. Her heart stopped beating for a second at his declaration, what was he doing to her? He had no idea what his words were doing to her.
“I’m always scared of them but with you, I want to learn how to use them, I want to try and not be scared of them anymore.” He grabbed her shoulders and spun her to him.
Jasira’s lips were agape seeing how transparent he was, his blue eyes were staring at her softly.
“Did… did you mean that?”
“With my heartless heart, I meant everything I said.”
She was silent staring at him with her mouth agape, her heart racing fast, with a lot of thoughts roaming through her head. ‘Was Alejandro pranking her or he was telling the truth?’
Sighing, she stepped out of his hold, his hands fell off her shoulder, and Alejandro said nothing which shocked her. She palmed her face and exhaled deep into her hands, she wanted to stay but when she thought of everything she went through in his hands, she wanted to keep a far distance from him.
“I’m not forcing you to stay like I said.” His deep baritone voice came up but surprisedly, it wasn’t cold at her.
Her hands dropped from her face immediately, “Huh?” She stood there tongue-tied, caught off-guard with another outburst from him.
“Yes, but I need a favor from you,” Alejandro replied pushing his hair back, he stood straight and stared deep into her confused eyes, he couldn’t believe that he could do this, bearing out his mind to a lady.
“Favor?” Jasira stuttered as her brows pulled up in confusion. The almighty mafia lord needed a favor from her, and Alejandro kept pulling surprises for her from left to right.
“Can you stay here for a week maybe your mind will change and if not, you can leave.”
Jasira’s silence stretched for a while, Alejandro was striking a deal with her, he was asking for permission from her not forcing her. Is this a sign that he has truly changed?
She nodded and Alejandro shocked her once again as his lips stretched into a small smile that disappeared almost immediately.
She was about to say something when a knock came up on his door. “I will take my leave now.” She replied instead and scurried out of the room.
She walked towards the with a lot of thoughts roaming through her mind. Alejandro wanted to change for her, he wanted to love her, and he was requesting her to teach him how to love. It was overwhelming finding out that Alejandro wanted to love her.
She cracked the door open to reveal Maxwell standing outside the door. “Good morning.” She greeted sidestepping him.
“Morning.” He replied before he walked into his room and closed the door behind him. She stood with her eyes wide, that was another bombshell dropped on her, Maxwell greeted her without any disgust on his face.
“Wow,” She muttered, this house was becoming something she didn’t know anymore.

“Boss,” Maxwell greeted immediately he stepped in before relaying his message to Alejandro.
“Fabiano’s guys are not eating the fact that the accident killed their boss, now that they have another new boss. He is bound to strike anytime.”
Alejandro rubbed his temple before taking a seat on one of his couches, this was expected but he didn’t expect them to choose another capo this fast and they did all this because they wanted quick revenge.
“About the Russians, I heard that they were going to help them, how true is that?”
Maxwell was silent rubbing his forehead knowing his reports today were not in favor of them. “Boss, it’s likely to be true because we still had some feud with the Russians.”
Alejandro let out a long breath and picked up a pen on the table to play with as he thought, he needed to do something fast, a lot of gangs were expecting his fall which was never going to happen.
Maxwell took a seat in his front before he continued, “They are planning to attack the mansion boss.”
“What?” Alejandro’s voice boomed as he stood up furiously, the pen he was holding fell to the floor and rolled away. “Where did you hear that?”
Maxwell stood up immediately moving two steps away from him, “From the mole we had there, the attack is going to come anytime so I suggest we attack them first.”
“No, no.” Alejandro shook his head fisting his palm into a tight fist, his knuckles were all white.
“It’s too dangerous, they’d known that is our best call so they will have to get ready for us.”
“Yes.” Maxwell nodded rubbing his chin, “That was right.” They would have been expecting them, and doing that would made them lose a lot of boys.
Sighing, he wrapped his hands around his chest before walking to his front. “What are we going to do?”
Alejandro raised his head and stood straight, his blue eyes were bloodshot and his brows were pulled tightly. “First, order all the maids to stop coming, for now, we don’t know who may be a spy among them.”
“Yes, boss.”
“Increase the guys’ training and double the guards on patrol, do that for now while I think of something good.”
“Okay, boss.” Maxwell nodded typing into his phone ordering the head maids about Alejandro’s order.
“And one more thing, don’t let the girls know about this, the guys also. We don’t need their panic now.”
“I will.”
“Prepare the cars, we move in two hours to now.” Maxwell nodded stepping out.
Alejandro sat on the couch again, this was giving him a headache, attacking the mansion would cause a disaster, a lot of guys were going to die, and his mother and Jasira were in there. No, he must not allow that. He got up to have his bath, he needed to seek alliance from some of the people who owned him.

Alejandro returned to the mansion early in the evening, his meeting was quite successful at least two gangs were ready to help him out of three, that’s progressive. He was still going to meet the third boss later, but he didn’t want to help because he was scared the clash was going to be heavy, he hadn’t recovered from the clash with the Russians last year but he needed him because he would know the Russian lastest strategy than him.
He tried to put all that behind him, he didn’t want the girls to be suspicious and the deal he just strike with Jasira was also important to him.
Because of the deal, he was going to do what he had not done in years. He was really proud of himself for being strong enough to opened his mind at her, so this evening he was going to do it again.
