Book:Slave To The Ruthless Mafia Lord Published:2025-3-3

It has been a week since Alejandro had stormed out of his room. A whole good week that Jasira hadn’t heard anything from him. No calls, no messages and she didn’t even had glimpse of him.
She should be leaping with joy since this was all what she wishes for but surprisingly, it doesn’t felt good. It doesn’t excite her. What if he was injured? And what if he was captured? What if something bad had happened to him?
The ifs was messing up her head. To think that she had been keeping the phone he bought for her amazed her, just because she was hoping he was going to call but that was only a dream.
“Are you expecting a call from anyone?” Lilly’s voice made her jerked up from her thought.
She glanced up from the crochet she was making absent-mindedly and gave her a tight smile at her. “Nope.” She said popping the “p”
“Don’t mind her, she had been doing that for a week.” Ava popped in and Jasira raised her brow at her.
“Doing what?” She asked with a raised brow picking another wool color. Lilly had said they should helped her with crochet, she planned on donating it to orphanage. She was baffled how a nice lady that is full of life, shine like a moon and have heart of gold could be a mother to someone devilish as Alejandro and still be okay with it.
“Glancing at your phone like you are expecting billions.” Ava retorted with a snort which made Jasira scoffed rolling her eyes
“Really?” Lilly beamed with a lit brow and dropped the finished crochet scarf. She popped a strawberry fruit into her mouth before directing her gaze at reddish face Jasira, “You should call the person then.”
Jasira sneered playfully. “I see what you guys are doing but it is not going to happen. Why should I call?”
The thought of calling Alejandro made shiver ran down her spine loom. Call Alejandro? She would rather ate her feaces than to do that.
“Then stop glancing at your phone like you did just lo now.”
“Amy!” She called exasperatedly throwing her hands up.
“I didn’t check it and you should also stop carressing your bracelet like it is not on your wrist.”
“Jasira.” She shouted exas Ioperately. Embarrassment crawled her body and her face was deep red.
Lilly laughed which Jasira joined in between.
“Stop it, guys.” Amy cautioned blushing deeper before she took a short glance at the gold bracelet on her wrist.
“If you will stop talking about me.”
“Of course.” Ava surrendered with an eye roll and Jasira let out a short chuckle.
“I haven’t seen Alejandro since a week, have you?” She asked carefreely diverting the topic turning to Lilly.
Lilly squirted her nose quite surprised at how she referred him. The name flown out of her mouth fluently and smoothly like it has always been there. She had always heard people referring her son as lord or boss and hearing it from her amazed her.
Jasira’s eyes popped open realizing what she just said, what was lilly going to think now? what if lilly told on her to Alejandro? Gosh! She closed her tightly before opening them and turned to Lilly who was staring at her surprised. “I mean boss.” She corrected clearing her dry throat. The plush material cracked under her butt due her uncomfortable shifting.
“He went for a business.”
Business that require pocketing a gun and storming out. Jasira scoffed mentally before she nodded.
“He’d called every night.” Lilly added picking out a blueberry from the berries basket beside her, and popped it into her mouth before adjusting the cardigan she was knitting.
“Oh.” Jasira mumbled facing the half-knitted scarf on her thigh. Why does it hurt when she heard that from her? He had been calling his mother and here she was worrying about him, she was having a stupid hope about them, hope that was going to shattered her heart and only hurt her alone.
She must stopped this madness before it affected her, she dropped the knitted scarf to the heaps of the scarfs they have knitted before letting her eyes roamed around through Lilly living room. The only apartment that was lively and full of colors in this mansion.
Her eyes dropped to the tons of books arranged alphabetical order in the shelves that took up a whole wall and her heart boom. She love reading books so much but sadly she hadn’t read anything since she got here.
“Does your hand hurt?” Lilly’s concerned voice snapped her out of her thought.
“Nope, nothing I can’t handle.” She answered with a small smile.
Amy wasn’t good with knitting so she was prepping the wools for them and since she was done. She settled to read one of the novel in the shelves.
“Can you borrow me a novel?” Jasira cut through the silence.
“Of course, you can take as many as you want.”
“Thank you.” She beamed.
The atmosphere was dominated with peaceful silence. Their rhyme breathe was the only thing booming lowly between them.
When Alejandro proposed the deal to her a month ago. She never thought this was what she was coming to.
Except from heartless Alejandro and his stupid second-in-command and Alejandro’s guards. Every other person she met in this house had been a nice person.
“Jasira.” She hummed as answer without glancing up to check the owner. It was no doubt that the voice being to Lilly. She was only person she knew with serene peaceful voice in this manor.
“Tell me about Alejandro’s behaviour to you.”
Her head jerk towards her quickly at the question, she didn’t knew when the half-knitted sock on her hand dropped to her thighs. “What?” She yelled gobsmacked. Her palm suddenly became hot and sweaty which she continuously wiped on her dress.
“Everything about him.” Lilly added instead ignoring her outburst. Amy had sat up, placing her book on her thigh, concentration laced her eyes as she watched Jasira.
“I… don’t know what to say.” Her voice shook under their scrutiny and she shifted nervously on the couch making the scarf fell to the shining brown hardwood floor.
“C’mon, be free with me.” Lily smiled easing the tension.
Jasira exhaled and let out a releaving breath. “You won’t tell on me!” She inquired frightened with a raised brow.
“Of course.”
“It may sound annoying and irritate you.”
“Hey, I’m not asking for you sex life.” Lilly joked squeezing her nose.
Laugh bubbled in the air from Amy. Jasira’s cheek went pink as she twist the end of her hair from embarrassment. A X-rated of her and Alejandro flushed her head and her cheeks burned with embarrassment.
“Okay.” She muttered when the laugh died down. The words felt heavy in her mouth. A month ago she had nothing good to say about Alejandro but now, he was not that the devil she thought a month ago. And why does she think this was going to put her into bigger trouble but she trusted Lilly not to told on her to Alejandro so she cleared her theoat and begin.
“Well…” She trailed off finding a perfect way to start. “You know he was nicknamed the devil so many of his attitude were heartless” especially when he is fucking her but that was secrecy to her only_ “Sometimes he annoyed me, frustrated me and drive me mad to the point I thought of killing him but I dared not.”
Her eyes ran up their faces and saw that their expression went from being amused they were earlier to being shocked. Lily’s lips was curled up into a sly smile her eyes fixed behind her.
“What are you guys staring at?” She asked glancing back. Her eyes bulge out as her breathe hitched immediately.
Spicy, cigarettes-like scent. Three-piece of suit. Dark hair, blue eyed man leaned against the door.
“Did you really enjoying talking me about that much?” Amusement ran up in his voice as he leaned away from the door farme but Jasira was too shock to notice it, all she heard was a cold icy voice questioning her.
He dropped his hand to his pocket and stride proudly towards her with his eyes pinned on her.
She should have not said anything about him, what pushed her to this? Her heart literally whacked in her ribcage. Her butt glued to the seat even when her brain was screaming that she should flee and ran for her life.
Every steps he took towards her banged in her head, scream how screwed up she was. His eyes was pinned dangerously on her while he stride towards Lilly, now she understand while Lilly was the devil’s mother because she was saying nothing and was literally grinning mischievously.
And she successfully entered her blacklist.
“Mom.” Alejandro greeted with a slight bow and Lily reciprocated with a warm smile not referring him as her baby like she’d used to do because of the people around.
Alejandro throw one last look at Jasira and a smirk touch his lips. Nice one. He muttered before disappearing out of the room.
Jasira stared at where he went away with her heart threatening to ripped out of her chest, What does his words mean? It only result into one thing. She was in damn trouble today.
