Tristan’s POV
I was miserable as fuck. Who invited Maggie here? It was strictly for the people on the list. Tristan, Maggie and I were standing at the bar. I took a sip of my Scotch. I had to stay here at least until most of these people were gone. It was my idea for the exhibition. I scanned the room for my assistant. But I do not even see her. I tried looking for Elona too, but I didn’t see her either.
A hand was now against my chest and I turned to see that it was Maggie and her claws. “Get your hands off me,” I said through clenched teeth as I yanked her hand away from me.
“What is bothering you so much?” she asked.
“Give this woman a break, Tristan,” David chimed in.
“I will be checking if my guests are happy.” I excused myself because I didn’t want to be here.
“Before you go, David and I were talking the other day about us. Well, you both haven’t shared a woman before, and I want us to start that. David is up for it, so what do you say?” Maggie suggested.
“What the fuck is wrong with you? I never share a woman,” I blurted out.
“It doesn’t hurt to have more fun. Besides, we haven’t tried that,” David shrugged.
“What is this?” I was disgusted. “No-”
“So, that means you won’t share me then,” Maggie said.
“Fuck, no… I mean, no I won’t have you because I have a girlfriend,” I hissed at her while David turned and sipped his drink. “You two are welcome to fuck each other.” I stormed away through the crowd. What fucking joke is this? A threesome? I will never do that. I have Elona, and she is more than enough for me.
As I left through the crowd to take a break from everyone from what Maggie had suggested. I walked to a secluded section that was not meant for the public. Most of our things were stored here for the evening. I heard heels and I turned around as I saw Jessie, my assistant, walking with a clipboard in her hand.
“Oh, Mr Crane, the evening is going smoothly,” she smiled as she walked over to some documents that were on a chair. She wore a formal black dress, black leggings, ankle boots and her blonde hair was cut into a pixie hairstyle. I loved her as an assistant. She didn’t care about me or my attitude at times. She never had any hidden agendas towards me because she was not interested in me. That was the type of assistant that I had always looked for. My previous assistants always tried to throw themselves at me and because of that, I fired them. I just couldn’t work like that.
“That is great to know,” I replied, and then she grabbed a document, clipped it to the clipboard and left. I paced the section, my shoes echoing on the shiny tiled floor. I wanted this evening to end so that I could go to the hotel and be with Elona. I heard heels again. It had to be Jessie forgetting something.
As I was about to walk, I stopped in my tracks when Maggie appeared. She was smiling seductively at me as she walked closer to me. I scowled at her. “You shouldn’t be here, this is only for my staff.”
She continued to make her way closer, and I moved back until my back was against the wall. She placed her hand against my chest, and then she traced the buttons of my jacket. “I know that you do not have a girlfriend, and I will get my way with you. You are losing a good thing and I hate it that you will,” she said.
“Well, I would prefer to lose it. Because I do have a girlfriend,” before I knew it, she leaned forward until her mouth was close to my ear,
“Don’t think for a second that you will get rid of me, because I am here to stay.” she whispered, her breath against my ear sent shivers down my spine. “I know you don’t have a girlfriend because Elona told me that you do not have one. I mean David doesn’t even know that. Which means you were lying to me. Besides, did you forget the other night that we were together? ” And then I felt her lips press against my neck and I grabbed her, yanking her away from me.
“What the fuck?!” I barked at her. She nearly stumbled back when I yanked her away from me. I wiped her kiss off my neck. Her eyes were huge. “You spoke to Elona about me? She doesn’t even know I have a girlfriend and David doesn’t know shit,” I hissed, still wiping her kiss off me. “Leave me the fuck alone,” I pointed at her, “Next time, I will send a restraining order against you.” I said before I left.
What the hell was wrong with these kinds of women? I do shit to no one, and yet they all want to be with me. Well, not as obsessed as Maggie is. I regret having a one-night stand with her. I did that just to get Elona out of my mind, hoping that it would help, but it didn’t. I am such an ass for listening to David who encouraged it in the first place.
I got to the hotel, eager to forget about my evening. When I entered, the lounge was quiet, and I walked further inside to find Elona half asleep on the sofa. I smiled at her as I took my jacket off and threw it onto the recliner. She sat up straight. “How was your evening?” she asked, still dressed in her gorgeous dress.
“It was… okay,” I was not going to explain about Maggie. I didn’t want that to dampen the mood.
She stood up from the sofa and I closed the space between us, placing my hands on her hips. “I want to f^ck you in this dress, but I don’t want to ruin it.” I said as my eyes fell on her the swells of her breasts. My erection is straining against my pants. She didn’t seem to be in the mood, but I was going to try.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Just tired,” she gave me a small smile.
“We don’t need to do anything tonight. We can just cuddle,” I suggested. She moved out of my hold, and then she turned to face me. Her eyes narrowed.
“Why is that on your collar? Was that from her? Or a guest?” she asked with hurt in her eyes.
I furrowed my brows in confusion, “What do you mean?”
She scoffed, “Clearly you know what is on your collar.”
I unbuttoned my shirt, and took it off to check what she was talking about. “Fuck,” I muttered under my breath. It was Maggie’s lipstick in the shape of her lips, a bit smudged on my collar. I let out a heavy breath. Did she plan this?
“Clearly, something happened,” she was accusing me of something now. I discarded the shirt on the floor. I am not wearing that again.
“Are you accusing me of anything?” I turned her way, taking a seat on a recliner, resting my elbows on my knees, clasping my hands, watching her.
“Well, Maggie said that you were with her the other night. That night when Cris was sleeping over by me. Were you with her that night?” she asked, her voice was laced with hurt. I looked at the floor. I wished so badly that Cris had not been there and ruined our evening that we were supposed to have together. I went to the bar to wait until Elona had to text me that Cris was gone, but then I got that text of disappointment. So, then I continued to sit at the bar.
“Were you two together that night?” she asked. I continued to look at the ground. “Answer me, it’s that simple,” her voice broke a bit and I just didn’t want her to think the worst of me and I didn’t want her to be hurt by me not responding and making her think whatever she wanted to. “Please, answer me,” This was the first time that I heard her with any hurt laced in her voice.
I looked up at her, the look in her eyes was full of hurt, and I guess she was hoping that Maggie was wrong. I sucked in a breath as I held her gaze.
“Yes, I was with her that night.”
