“Bang! Bang!”
The first shot missed, and the burly man pulled the trigger again, sending two long nails towards Darnell’s car. Fortunately, Darnell swiftly dodged them.
Three shots missed, and two other cars each revealed a black-clad brute, each holding a powerful nail gun, continuously firing at Darnell’s car, attempting to flip it over.
These people were skilled and agile, unaffected by the car’s movement. They fired ten shots in quick succession.
The long nails pounded against Darnell’s car, breaking the silence of the once peaceful place with sudden explosions.
Darnell firmly held the steering wheel with both hands, skillfully maneuvering the car, making it weave in a snake-like motion to cleverly avoid the nail gun shots.
The three cars chasing Darnell and Abbigail also sped recklessly.
“Thud! Thud! Thud!”
Except for one shot hitting the trunk of Darnell’s car, the dozens of other shots caused no harm.
Darnell’s exceptional driving skills allowed him to evade the attackers’ assaults. The nails seemed to be on target each time but were always evaded by Darnell at the last moment, landing on the ground instead.
The once smooth road now became pockmarked with holes.
“Damn it!”
The bandit who had been trying to take down Darnell was infuriated. “This jerk drives so damn fast.”
While cursing, he pulled the trigger again, shooting a final nail not at the tires but at the rear windshield of the car.
He couldn’t believe that he couldn’t hit such a large target. To his dismay, when the nail was shot, the target car surged forward more than ten meters.
“Thud!”
The nail hit the ground and sank three inches deep.
An Audi A7 couldn’t avoid it in time and crashed into it with a loud crack. The bumper and chassis were damaged, and the car nearly flipped over.
“Damn it! We can’t hold back anymore.”
The black-clad man was frustrated. Then he pushed aside his pig mask, revealing half of his rugged face as he gestured to someone inside the car.
A shotgun was handed to him.
“Catch up to them. Get closer.”
After his companions closed in on Darnell, he held the shotgun with both hands and started shooting expressionlessly.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
In the dark night, the continuous spitting flames from the muzzle were exceptionally dazzling. Shell casings flew out from the barrel and fell onto the road with tinkling sounds.
The bullets were fierce, but Darnell didn’t give them a chance to hit. The car suddenly accelerated and moved out of their range of attack.
Apart from several scratches on the trunk, Darnell’s car remained almost intact.
During this time, Abbigail hadn’t even opened her eyes. She slept in her seat like a cat, seemingly undisturbed by the roaring engine and intense gunfire.
Her ample bosom trembled slightly as the car moved, causing Darnell’s nerves to relax amidst all the gunfire.
“Woosh-”
After driving for another three hundred meters, the three Audi A7s were still relentlessly chasing Darnell. It seemed like they wouldn’t give up until they killed them tonight.
Darnell looked at the upcoming turn ahead and then glanced at the rearview mirror with an indifferent smile on his face. He quickly shifted gears into manual mode one after another.
In just three seconds, the engine of the car almost reached its limit.
“It’s time for me to show off my marksmanship.”
Darnell exhaled and lowered Abbigail’s body. Then he stepped on the accelerator pedal, and the car shot forward like an arrow.
With this move, the three Audi A7s also rushed towards them aggressively.
“Screech!”
After rushing out for about a hundred meters, Darnell hit the brakes, causing his car to drift.
The tires screeched against the ground as they spun half a circle before coming to a stop sideways on the side of the road.
The three Audi A7s also instinctively stopped but reacted slightly slower. They still rushed past Darnell’s position.
“Bang! Bang!”
Darnell extended his left hand with a firearm and fired two shots at one of the Audi A7s that was slower due to its delayed braking response.
“Boom!”
The bullets hit precisely on its tires, causing it to lose control and crash forward uncontrollably.
After rushing out for more than twenty meters, due to its momentum, it leaped over a curbstone and flew in mid-air for more than ten meters before crashing down with a loud thud upside down.
“Boom!”
A huge fireball rose up. It was clear that there were few chances of survival for those inside.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
While Darnell’s eyes narrowed slightly due to the glare of firelight, two other chasing cars had already caught up to them.
They didn’t care about their companion’s life or death. Instead, they immediately stuck their nail guns and shotguns out of their windows and sunroofs. They fired at Darnell and Abbigail.
Darnell quickly stepped on the gas pedal again and darted away from them. He also lowered his body in time. These guys were all desperados after all…
The next moment, two long nails shattered through the glass and struck against the seats. Their sharp tips would have drawn blood if not for Darnell’s fast driving. Dozens of shotgun pellets rained down on the rear trunk and windows, leaving behind scattered bullet holes and fragments.
“Screech!”
After driving for dozens of meters again, Darnell turned his steering wheel intentionally to crash into a tree. It appeared as if he got a gunshot wound.
Both Audi A7s subconsciously slow down their attack speed. Almost simultaneously, Darnell leaped out from the car window.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
Darnell extended his left hand and fired repeatedly at the gangsters, the sound of gunfire echoing as the bodies of the armed men on the roof and windows jolted violently. One of them swayed and then collapsed back into the car.
Their shotguns and nail guns clattered to the ground simultaneously as Darnell pivoted the barrel of his weapon and fired again.
With two shots ringing out, two drivers of the gangsters jerked back, and with a sickening thud, they slumped over the steering wheel, blood oozing from their foreheads-dead without a doubt.
The two Audi Q7s came to a screeching halt in a circle. Darnell spotted two remaining targets and was ready to pull the trigger again, only to realize his weapon was out of bullets.
At that moment, the two thugs wearing pig masks slammed on the brakes and nimbly jumped out of their vehicles, one of them drawing a handgun.
Darnell quickly threw an empty gun barrel which hit one bandit’s fingers hard enough for him to drop his weapon onto the ground with pain written across his face.
Without waiting for them to pick up their weapons from the ground, Darnell lunged forward like a cheetah towards his opponents.
The two pig-masked bandits couldn’t retrieve their guns in time. Instead, they drew daggers from behind their backs as soon as they saw Darnell approaching menacingly.
“Kill!”
When both pig-masked bandits swung their daggers at Darnell, Darnell counterattacked by slapping away both daggers accurately using his palm with great force.
How could these two men withstand Darnell’s overpowering strength? Their large bodies involuntarily lifted off from the ground as they stumbled backward four or five steps before falling back onto their backsides while dropping their daggers.
However, they showed no sign of fear. They swiftly adjusted their footing while brandishing their daggers again-one attacking from left while another from right.
Their movements were swift, and their knife techniques were ruthless-it was evident that they had killed many people before.
Darnell jumped forward without retreating when both daggers swung towards him. He kicked one attacker in response.
A scream in pain was heard as one person retreated after having his wrist dislocated.
The other pig-masked bandit hesitated for a moment when seeing how fiercely Darnell attacked. However, before he could react further or change tactics again-a punch landed on him.
The pig-masked bandit’s body flew uncontrollably before crashing into another car.
Seizing this opportunity, the injured bandit tried to pounce again while drawing out a dagger from behind him. However, Darnell swiftly grabbed hold of him.
“Crack!”
Darnell twisted forcefully, and the man’s hand snapped, sending the dagger clattering to the ground.
“Ah-”
The injured gangster let out a piercing scream, the pain evident in his voice.
“Now, tell me-who sent you? Who are you here to kill? I’m not keeping you alive out of pity. I merely need information…”
Darnell spoke calmly, the intensity of his gaze unwavering. “Otherwise, you’ll end up like your friends-either dead or crippled.”
The wounded thug gritted his teeth, still defiant. “I don’t know-”
With a crack, another bone snapped.
Darnell broke the bandit’s arm at the joint, then swiftly kicked both of his shins.
“Ah!”
The man’s limbs instantly dislocated, and his agonized screams echoed on the street, sending chills down the spines of anyone who might hear.
“Never been to jail, have you?”
Darnell relaxed his grip slightly, and the injured bandit crumpled to the ground like a puddle of mud.
“Confess, and you’ll get leniency. Resist, and it’ll be worse for you.”
The man lay on the ground, drenched in sweat, his face contorted in pain and despair. He wished he could knock himself unconscious.
“I know you want to pass out,” Darnell said with a soft sigh. “But unfortunately for you, you won’t. You’ll stay awake until you die.”
As he spoke, he crouched down to realign the man’s limbs.
The injured bandit screamed in agony. “Ah-”
“Crack!”
Before the man could catch his breath, Darnell stomped on his limbs again, dislocating them once more.
After repeating this three times, the bandit was in a state worse than death. By the fourth time, he was sobbing uncontrollably.
“I’ll talk! I’ll talk! We’re the Ripers… We’re here to kill Abbigail…”
