“Clang!”
The middle-aged woman’s face changed drastically. She didn’t expect Darnell to react so quickly, instantly noticing something wrong with the food and recognizing her.
In her mind, she quickly dodged the teacup that was thrown at her, and at the same time, she flicked her left hand, sending a small knife flying towards Darnell.
“Clang!”
The knife flew out and suddenly exploded, turning into five knives. Darnell, not being careless, swiftly turned his hands and threw a chair behind him.
“Thud thud thud!”
The knives all embedded into the chair and then fell to the ground with a snap.
Seeing that her attack had missed, Kimberly’s face slightly changed. She then waved her left hand again, sending another knife flying.
As the knife traveled, it exploded with a loud noise, turning into seven knives that spread out like a fan towards Darnell.
Darnell didn’t even look at the seven knives coming at him. He simply crouched down, easily dodging all of them.
The seven knives hit the wall, sinking in about three inches, creating a shocking sight.
Darnell shook his head. “Using knives and guns is not a good move for a woman.” Then he asked, “You’re the one who fed Luca a Graveknocker, right?”
Kimberly shouted, “Kid, you ruined our plan. I’m going to kill you.”
“Well, it’s not the first time I’ve ruined your plans,” Darnell replied.
Darnell looked at the furious woman and said, “Many of the Axe members died in the Sunflower Hotel clash. I also made you become a wanted criminal. So ruining your plan again doesn’t matter to me.”
Kimberly sneered, “How did you figure it out?”
She wore a high-quality mask on her face that made it impossible for ordinary people to recognize any abnormalities.
Darnell didn’t hide anything. “It’s simple. You use knives too often. Your hands have calluses. And you walk too lightly. I almost didn’t notice your presence.”
Kimberly laughed coldly, “Kid, you’ve got some skills. But anyone who opposes me ends up dead.”
Darnell smiled curiously. “Really? But this is the Apex’s headquarters, after all.”
Kimberly looked disdainful. “If I can get in here, I can naturally leave unscathed.”
“Protect Mr. Halford and take down that woman!” Gisselle heard the commotion and rushed over with her men. They happened to witness this scene, and their faces changed immediately. It was clear that the one confronting Darnell was not a good person.
Upon hearing Gisselle’s command, more than ten members of the Apex drew their weapons and charged forward, shouting, “Kill!”
Kimberly swiftly moved and crashed into a table. With a wave of her hands, four small knives shot out and caught three of the Apex members off guard. They groaned and clutched their throats before falling to the ground.
Another knife was aimed at Gisselle. Gisselle’s face turned cold as she swung her sword directly at it.
“Clang!”
The knife fell to the ground.
Gisselle grunted as well. She took a step back with a twitch at the corner of her mouth. Her hand stung as she felt the power of her opponent. She immediately shouted to her remaining subordinates, “Be careful!”
Before her words even finished, Kimberly swiftly turned again, two flashes of light passing by in an instant.
Two of the Apex members near Gisselle screamed in pain as blood splattered from their bodies.
With five opponents taken down in quick succession, Kimberly didn’t pause for a moment. She rolled her body and shot toward Gisselle like an arrow, clearly aiming to take down the leader first.
Two members of the Apex rushed to intercept her, but they didn’t even manage to touch the fabric of Kimberly’s sleeve before she effortlessly struck them down.
“Bang!”
Darnell didn’t give Kimberly a chance to deal with Gisselle. He grabbed a chair and hurled it at her, sending it flying like a projectile aimed at her back.
Sensing the imminent danger, Kimberly’s expression shifted. She spun around and slashed downward, the sound of breaking wood echoing as the chair splintered in two.
“Take her down!”
Gisselle seized the opportunity to retreat a few steps and shouted to the nearby Apex members, “She’s a spy!”
Dozens surged forward, blades flashing. Kimberly responded with a swift counterattack, taking down two more rushing members of the Apex with a single stroke.
“Clang! Clang! Clang!”
Demonstrating her remarkable fighting skills, Kimberly remained composed amidst the overwhelming onslaught, her strikes precise and lethal.
Her ferocity was enough to hold off more than thirty attackers.
Watching her fallen comrades, Gisselle was surprised by Kimberly’s ruthless strength. Realizing she had caught a big fish, she shouted, “Get her!”
The Apex members charged again, their knives slicing through the air with deadly intent.
“Boom!”
As the Apex members bore down on her like a pack of wolves, Kimberly’s expression turned icy. She sidestepped to a marble table, both hands pressing down before lifting it.
The marble table flew like a cannonball, toppling five or six members of the Apex, who cried out in pain.
As the Apex members hesitated for a moment, Kimberly seized the opportunity, leaping over the marble table, and pressed one hand against the chest of a towering opponent.
The man, standing six feet tall, was sent staggering back, crashing to the ground in an undignified heap. Kimberly followed up with a powerful kick.
Two more Apex members were sent flying, weapons clattering as they hit the ground. Kimberly looked at them with disdain.
Seeing her subordinates fall one after another, Gisselle shouted, “Chop her down!”
The Apex members surged forward again, furious that their stronghold had been infiltrated and that they were being beaten. How could they not be enraged?
“Looking for death!”
Just moments ago, Kimberly seemed calm and composed, but now her demeanor shifted dramatically, becoming fiercely domineering. She kicked a knife that whizzed through the air.
The blade pierced the chest of a member of the Apex who hadn’t seen it coming, causing him to stumble back with a muffled groan, pain and shock etched across his face.
Darnell hadn’t expected this woman to possess such overwhelming strength.
Kimberly’s figure darted through the crowd with remarkable agility.
“Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!”
From Darnell’s perspective, this woman was indeed formidable. Even under the assault of dozens of attackers, she didn’t take a single hit. Her movements flowed seamlessly, graceful as flowing water.
In just three minutes, she had taken down more than thirty of them without sustaining any injury.
On the contrary, she knocked down over thirty people in quick succession.
Her movements became even more fierce as time passed.
Kimberly patted a member of the Apex on his back without making any sound but sent him flying along with his weapon. Then she swiftly kicked another opponent’s ribs, causing them to break.
Wherever she went, no one could stop her as she single-handedly fought against more than thirty men.
In a frenzy of bloodlust, Kimberly laughed loudly, her fierce energy radiating from her every move. In an instant, she lifted her leg and kicked a nearby wooden chair, sending it whistling through the air toward the crowd.
“Crack!”
The sturdy and luxurious chair dramatically exploded as it rained down on two approaching members of the Apex, who then collapsed onto the ground with a loud thud.
Splintered wood fragments shot through the air and cut across several people’s faces.
A burly man stepped forward to draw his machete. He wanted to get close enough to strike Kimberly’s vital point.
He was fast, but Kimberly was faster, taking a step forward at almost the same time as him. They were within arm’s reach in an instant.
Before he could fully extend his arm after drawing his weapon, Kimberly grabbed his wrist and twisted it sharply. The burly man’s face twisted in pain. He spun around following her movement before being thrown away by Kimberly in one swift motion.
He knocked down four or five people before nearly colliding with Gisselle herself.
“Swoosh!”
Just as Kimberly finished throwing the burly man away, there was a sharp sound as an arrow suddenly shot out without warning towards Kimberly’s back.
“Thud!”
A muffled sound accompanied by a spray of blood burst forth from Kimberly’s back.
Darnell looked over. Nick was holding a crossbow in his hands, hiding in a corner with an icy smile on his face.
