Tilda angrily bit his chest muscle.
The more she bit, the harder he pushed. What started as an intimate moment turned into a struggle.
In the end, Tilda had to admit she was out of strength and pleaded softly for him to hurry up.
If they kept this up, her parents would be back soon.
After some time, everything finally calmed down, leaving only their heavy breathing.
Johnny reached for a cigarette out of habit, then remembered they were at Tilda’s house.
“A post-coital cigarette?”
He smiled. “I won’t smoke if you don’t like it. I’ll quit.”
“I don’t care,” Tilda said, turning away. She reached for her clothes, her arms trembling.
Johnny was about to speak when he sneezed several times in a row.
She handed him a tissue, frowning slightly. “Did you catch a cold?”
“Maybe,” Johnny said, wiping his nose before heading to the bathroom for a hot shower.
“How about we skip shopping today? I’ll ask my parents when they’ll be back, and we can all go out for dinner.”
Tilda hadn’t planned on moving so fast. They barely knew each other, but Johnny had been pushing for it. She had been reluctant to let their parents meet, which had already made him somewhat unhappy. If she continued to keep him from meeting her parents, it might seem insincere.
Besides, her parents had always been suspicious of Johnny’s background and had been cautious around him. Meeting him would dispel those concerns, and they wouldn’t have to sneak around anymore.
Most importantly, she wouldn’t be pressured to find a boyfriend or go on blind dates anymore.
“I’m fine with whatever you decide,” Johnny said happily. He was in such a good mood that he would even agree to plan a wedding right then if she asked.
Tilda sighed and reached for her phone.
Just as she dialed the number, she heard a ringtone outside the door.
Oh no!
Her parents were back!
Tilda froze, nearly dropping her phone.
When did they get back? Had they been there during…?
If her parents were home, they definitely heard everything!
In the bathroom, Johnny was still humming a tune, completely unaware.
Tilda’s heart sank further when her mother didn’t answer the phone.
She walked to the bathroom door and knocked. “Johnny.”
“Yeah? I’m here.”
“My parents… might be right outside.”
Johnny’s singing stopped abruptly-
The bathroom door swung open with a splash.
He stood there stark naked, looking shocked and bewildered.
“When did they get back?”
“How should I know?” Tilda’s face was pale. “What do we do now?”
Johnny had never encountered such a situation before. Although they were dating, they weren’t engaged yet. Being caught in her room like this by her parents was nerve-wracking!
Seeing Tilda on the verge of tears, Johnny quickly grabbed her hand with a serious expression. “Don’t cry. It’s okay! I’ll call my parents right now to come over and propose. You can tell your parents we’ve already agreed to get married, which is why we… did that.”
