After asking the question, Master Inkwell waved his hand dismissively. “Forget it. You will report to me later about what happened in the Outland Ruins.”
He then coldly looked at Lachlan Willis again. “Lachlan Willis, do you have anything else to say?”
Lachlan Willis let out a self-deprecating laugh. “I admit, I hid the truth about Miranda Lowe, but I did not actually collude with the World Annihilation Demon faction. My stance has never changed! I swore an oath to the Will of the Celestial Path. I must be mad to have truly colluded with the World Annihilation Demon!”
“Hmph! Even if your stance hasn’t changed, it has already begun to waver. Come with me to face judgment and punishment!”
Master Inkwell sneered and spoke indifferently.
The next moment, four chains shot out from his hands, their ends gleaming with sharp hooks. They emitted a menacing and dangerous aura.
Lachlan Willis’s face changed as he instinctively wanted to resist, but he suppressed the urge. He knew how terrifying the Order Keepers Organization’s power was. He was not yet strong enough to oppose it.
Not to mention, Master Inkwell and the four late-stage Great Vehicle experts present could easily kill him.
Lachlan Willis was certain that even if he rode on the Vermilion Bird Divine Ancestor’s remains, he wouldn’t be able to escape the pursuit of Master Inkwell and the other four powerful individuals.
If he didn’t resist and was taken back, there might still be a glimmer of hope. But if he fought back, with his current strength, he would undoubtedly die.
Shink! Shink! Shink…
The sound of sharp blades cutting into flesh echoed as the chains hooked onto his limbs, causing a painful grimace to appear on Lachlan Willis’s face. However, he did not scream, allowing the four hooked chains to bind his body.
Having endured far worse tortures in the past, Lachlan Willis’s will was unyielding. He didn’t even make a sound.
To be fair, the brutal torture from Dewi Mayer at Broken Pulse Sect on Dragon Burial Peak was far more painful, and he had survived that.
“Hmph, at least you’re cooperating! Otherwise, today you would be dead for sure!”
Seeing that Lachlan Willis wasn’t resisting, Master Inkwell spoke with disdain and mockery.
Deep in his eyes, there seemed to be a flicker of disappointment.
In fact, he had hoped Lachlan Willis would resist. That way, he could kill him, and the higher-ups of the Orderwarden wouldn’t be able to say anything.
But now, he had no choice but to follow the rules. Otherwise, even as the head of the Hall of Ten Thousand Matters, he would face harsh punishment from the higher-ups of Orderwarden.
Master Inkwell was dissatisfied with Lachlan Willis, but he wasn’t willing to risk his own downfall just for the sake of revenge.
At that moment, both Isa Austin and Claudia Carter looked at Lachlan Willis with a hint of schadenfreude in their eyes.
One Day Later
In a dark, ominous hall.
Lachlan Willis was bound by chains, his body shackled to two thick pillars. The sharp hooks at the ends of the chains pierced through his limbs, rendering him immobile.
Even his collarbones had been pierced.
This place was none other than the Judgment Hall of the Hall of Ten Thousand Matters.
Master Inkwell, the head of the hall, wasn’t present. Instead, two mysterious figures wearing golden masks sat not far away. They exuded a powerful aura, clearly possessing terrifying strength at the late-stage Great Vehicle peak.
These two individuals were elders from the Judgment Hall of the Hall of Ten Thousand Matters.
The Judgment Hall wielded enormous power, and the two elders held positions in the Order Keepers Organization that were equal to, if not greater than, Master Inkwell’s.
The judges were responsible for punishment.
For instance, if someone from the Ancient Plane dared to wreak havoc among untrained civilians, they would be brought back and dealt with by the Judgment Hall.
The Judgment Hall also handled matters within the Order Keepers Organization, including dealing with anyone who collaborated with the World Annihilation Demon.
This time, the judgment was for one of the Seeds of the Star Path, and more specifically, the one with the greatest potential among the top ten Seeds of the Star Path.
Therefore, the two elders from the Judgment Hall personally came to preside over the trial.
“Lachlan Willis, it has been confirmed that you deliberately concealed the situation regarding the World-Annihilation Faction’s Great Demon, Nine-Headed Phoenix. However, since you did not actually collaborate with the World Annihilation Demon, and considering you swore an Oath of Heaven’s Path to the Will of the Celestial Path, I am giving you a chance to live.”
The golden-masked figure sitting on the left spoke coldly.
It must be said that the Order Keepers Organization was quite fair. Although Isa Austin and Claudia Carter both claimed that Lachlan Willis had colluded with Nine-Headed Phoenix and the Reincarnated Demons, the Order Keepers Organization had found no solid evidence.
Judgment Hall did not accept Isa Austin and Claudia Carter’s one-sided testimonies.
Furthermore, their claim that Nine-Headed Phoenix appeared in the Outland Ruins couldn’t be true. Nine-Headed Phoenix had been outside, recently slaughtering a city in Skiola.
Thus, Judgment Hall did not take Isa Austin and Claudia Carter’s words seriously.
“Thank you! What opportunity?” Lachlan Willis asked in a low voice.
Judgment Hall had not executed him directly, which made him breathe a sigh of relief.
Swish!
The next moment, the golden-masked figure sitting on the right waved his hand.
A scene materialized before Lachlan Willis’s eyes, formed by psychic power.
At first glance, there were endless mountains, forming a range known as the Ten Thousand Mountains.
Among the mountains was a cluster of buildings that seemed like a large cultivation sect or family.
Alongside this, there was also a map showing the target location, which was clearly in the southwestern region of Priocia.
However, Lachlan Willis noticed that the map didn’t quite match the Priocia map he was familiar with.
