Chapter 11
Diary 4 : The Alpha’s Little Dirty Secret
Aria’s Pov
I shouldn’t be here.
Not in his study, not with my trembling hands gripping the polished edge of his desk, and definitely not with the Alpha standing behind me, close enough that I could feel the heat radiating from his body.
But how could I leave? How could I pull away when every cell in my body craved him, even though I knew how wrong this was?
My name is Aria, and I’m nothing more than the Alpha’s maid. A simple, unremarkable girl born into a family of omegas, destined to serve. When I came to this pack two years ago, my only plan was survival. I needed the job to support my younger brother, and being the maid for the most feared Alpha in the region seemed better than starving. At least, that’s what I thought at the time.
Leon wasn’t the kind of man you could ignore. From the moment I met him, he had this presence, this impossible aura of authority and danger. He was the kind of man who could silence an entire room with a single look. The stories about him made my skin crawl. Ruthless. Cold. Unforgiving. People called him a monster-and maybe they were right.
But that wasn’t the man I came to know.
I still remember the first time he really noticed me. It was six months into my job. I had been tasked with cleaning his room while he was out, and I accidentally knocked over a stack of his files. Important files. The kind that carried the weight of pack alliances and deals.
When Leon walked in and saw the mess, I thought that was it. I thought I was dead.
“You’ve got five seconds to explain yourself,” he had said, his voice cold enough to freeze my blood.
I scrambled to gather the papers, stammering out an apology, my hands shaking so badly that I couldn’t even hold them steady. He just watched me, his eyes narrowing, and I braced myself for the punishment that was sure to follow.
But instead, he crouched down and helped me pick them up.
“Next time,” he had said, his tone softer than I expected, “don’t touch what you can’t handle.”
I didn’t know what to make of that moment, but it stayed with me. And after that, he started noticing me more. Little things, like how his gaze would linger when I entered a room, or the way he’d ask for me specifically to handle tasks.
At first, I thought I was imagining it. That a man like him couldn’t possibly see me, let alone want me. But the night it all began, there was no mistaking his intentions.
It was late, and the packhouse was quiet. I had stayed behind to clean the dining hall after a meeting, and I didn’t realize Leon was still there until I turned around and found him standing in the doorway, watching me.
“You work too hard,” he had said, his voice low and smooth.
I laughed nervously, wiping my hands on my apron. “Someone has to.”
He didn’t smile, but there was something in his eyes, something that made my pulse race. He walked toward me, his steps slow and deliberate, and I felt rooted to the spot.
“You should rest,” he said, stopping just a foot away from me. “But you won’t, will you?”
I shook my head, unable to speak.
And then he touched me. Just a light brush of his fingers against my cheek, but it was enough to send my heart into overdrive.
“Do you know what you do to me, Aria?” he had whispered, his voice barely audible.
I didn’t. I couldn’t understand how someone like him could want someone like me. But when his lips claimed mine, all my doubts melted away.
That was the first time, and it was everything.
Since then, we’ve been careful-at least as careful as we can be. Our encounters are always in secret, always behind locked doors. No one can ever know, because the pack would never forgive it. They worship him, their Alpha, their untouchable leader. And I’m just the help.
But when we’re alone, none of that matters. He isn’t the cold, ruthless Alpha with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He’s just Leon, the man who makes me feel like I’m the only thing that matters.
And now, standing in his study with his body so close to mine, I can’t stop the memories from flooding back. The way he touched me, the way he whispered my name like a prayer.
“You’re distracted today,” his deep voice pulls me back to the present.
“I’m fine, Alpha,” I say quickly, though my voice betrays me.
He steps closer, his hand brushing against my waist, and I suck in a sharp breath.
“Don’t lie to me,” he murmurs, his lips grazing the shell of my ear. “I can see it in your eyes. What’s wrong?”
I bite my lip, my fingers gripping the desk tighter. “Someone’s going to find out,” I whisper. “This… us… it’s too dangerous.”
His hand slides around to my stomach, pulling me back against him, and I feel his warmth seeping into me.
“No one will find out,” he says, his voice firm. “And even if they do, who would dare challenge me?”
His confidence should annoy me, but instead, it reassures me. Because I know he’s right. Leon is untouchable. And as long as he wants me, he’ll protect me.
Still, the fear lingers. Not for myself, but for him. Because if the pack ever found out their Alpha was sneaking around with the maid, it wouldn’t just be my reputation on the line-it would be his.
But when he turns me around to face him, his hands cradling my face, all my worries fade into the background.
“Do you trust me, Aria?” he asks, his piercing gaze locking onto mine.
I nod, because I do. Against all odds, I trust him with everything.
“Then stop overthinking,” he says, his thumb brushing over my bottom lip. “And let me take care of you.”
And just like that, I’m lost to him all over again.
He picks me up, and I wrap my legs around his waist, holding on as he walks across the room, carrying me. I’m breathless, my hands tangled in his hair, my mouth already searching for his.
I need him more than air. More than water. More than the sun itself.
And when we get to the wall of books, he pushes me back against it, his body pressing me into the cold wood, and I moan. This is my favorite spot, this place where he can fuck me hard and fast and wild.
“Alpha,” I breathe, his fingers already working open my pants. “Please.”
“Quiet,” he growls, “or you’ll have to be quiet for the rest of the day.”
