Kayden’s POV
I walked into Shakti’s room, sitting on her bed while I waited for her to return with the plants she intended to use to make some potions.
My mind drifted off to Rhea. I wonder how she would be?
I hope she doesn’t get upset that I left without telling her.
Why do I feel the need to tell her? Should I run back and inform her?
I had so many thoughts going on in my mind at the same time.
“Kayden” Banshee ran towards me, wrapping her hands around me.
My eyes widened in shock.
“I thought you were at magic school?” I asked her, and she nodded her head signifying a yes.
“We are on a break now. How have you been?” She asked me.
“Fine, I guess” I forced a smile.
“It’s finally nice to see you again. I mean it’s been so long I saw you. Like, nine years ago” she spoke, her hands still around my neck
What the hell is going on with this girl?
“It’s been ten. And it’s nice to see you too” I removed her hand from my body.
There is no telling what these women can do or say.
“You’re still the no touchy type I guess?” She asked me.
“Hmmm” I turned away, avoiding looking at her.
“What is it Kayden? Did I do something wrong?” She asked me when she noticed that I had turned my face away from her.
“No, you didn’t. Why would you even ask me that?” I faced her.
Was she playing dumb or did her mother never tell her the condition I had.
“Because you have been avoiding eye contact with me since I entered the room. I think I am making you very uncomfortable” she replied, very disheartened.
She wasn’t making me uncomfortable in any way. In Fact she was making my demon too comfortable and if she didn’t leave then he would end up taking control of me and doing something bad to her.
“That’s not true” I replied, averting my gaze from her again.
“Then look at me in that case? Why don’t you want to look at me?” She asked me, moving closer to me.
I tried to turn around, and see her face
But, our eyes came in contact and now she was just a breath away from me.
“Banshee please move back” I swallowed hard.
I could feel my d*ck getting erect already.
“Why? Do I stink now?” She asked.
“No, stop your silly questions. Go to your room or something. Just leave me alone” I yelled at her.
And that was all she needed to let out an outburst.
Tears ran down her cheeks to the floor.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know that I was offending you” She turned around to leave, and I held her wrist.
I pulled her close and wiped her tears with my thumb.
“Banshee, you shouldn’t say things like that. You know the kind of person I am. Your mum should have told you how important it is for you to avoid me.
I am evil, and a danger to you and everyone else around me. Why can’t you understand that?” I asked her, and she shook her head aggressively.
“I have been with you so many times Kayden, but you have never done anything to harm me. In Fact, you have only been kind to me.. I don’t care what you are Kayden, I…” she paused.
“I think you’re nice and that is all that matters,” she added.
I could tell that she wanted to say something different, but eventually stopped herself for some reason.
I tried to read her mind, but she had blocked her thoughts.
“I see magic school is paying off” I chuckled, trying to release her from my grip.
“Hmmn” she looked at the floor.
I raised her chin, forcing her to look at me.
“What happened, don’t you like going to magic school?” I asked her.
“No, it’s not that. It’s just…” she paused, forcing a smile on her face.
“Magic school is so hard, and everyone in school seems to be ahead of me. It doesn’t matter how hard I try or how much effort I put in. I am always left behind” she cried out.
“That’s okay, you don’t have to move with their pace. And no one ever told you that it would be easy” I laughed and she shied away from me.
She had really grown over these six years. Her lips, which used to be thin, were now full and her green eyes became more radiant.
She had completely grown the endowments of a woman. And if not for her status, then I would have f* hell into her.
Fck I just said it, I hope my demon didn’t hear.
“Fck her,” my demon whispered.
Of course, he did.
“You’re just trying to be nice to me,” She said.
“I am never nice to anyone honestly” I replied, and she shrugged.
“At least, I am not failing any classes, so I know that I am good,” she replied.
“You have become so handsome Kayden. ” She complimented me.
“And you’re also very beautiful. You look like a full grown woman now “I told her.
Her cheeks flushed red almost immediately.
“Can I keep you company?” She asked
I don’t think that is a good idea” I replied.
“Please, If it helps then I’ll stand far away from you. That way the temptation is less right?” She asked me, and I forcefully smiled.
“If you say no to me then I’ll be very sad. I don’t like it when we say no to me. I mean it has been ten whole years since we saw each other. I don’t think it would be much to ask for five minutes of your waiting time” she kept on insisting.
“Okay” I simply replied.
I knew that even if I say no, she will keep persuading me and she will eventually end up spending the time in the room with me.
“Thank you” she jumped for joy, hugging me tightly.
