While Lina was bonding well with the Waltons, at the Robert villa was a mess.
“Stop walking back and forth, Jason. You are making me dizzy already.” Rebecca yelled, seeing how restless Jason was.
“You told me not to feel restless. Do you have any solutions to the problem we are facing at the moment? Who knew when that bastard would be here to demand for all I stole from her? Not only that, in two days, the loan sharks would be here. Never yell at me again, Rebecca.” Jason’s body shook with anger, still restless.
“Jason, you don’t need to shout at me. It’s been three days since her threat, she isn’t here yet. She was just bluffing. And for the loan sharks, we would deal with them when the time comes.” Rebecca rolled her eyes.
“Had you allowed me to get rid of that little bitch the way we did to her mother, we wouldn’t be facing all this mess now.” Rebecca argued, not minding that Mira, who was seated in the room would hear them.
“Rebecca!” Jason roared, not liking being reminded of something from the past. “If you say any more words there again, be ready to get lost.”
“You…” Rebecca pointed a shaky finger at Jason. “If not for my careful plans, would you have gotten all this wealth you gathered?”
“Enough, mom,” Mira, who was curled up on the sofa, finally spoke. She straightened her spine as she looked from her father to her mother. “I already said I would find a solution to all this. Why are you guys still arguing?”
“Humph,” Jason snorted. “Don’t try to fool me Mira. I heard your conversation with Daniel at the hospital three days ago. He wants to divorce you. Tell me, where did you want to get help?” Jason mocked, while Mira’s body froze. It turned out that her father knew what was happening between her and her husband.
Jason was so restless after his discussion with Rebecca in Mira’s ward, that he didn’t leave when Daniel asked them to excuse him that he wanted to talk to Mira alone. He stood outside the door, eavesdropping. That was when he heard that Daniel wanted a divorce.
“What? You mean that son of a bitch wants to divorce my daughter?” Rebecca sprung up to her feet, her teeth grinding each other in anger.
“Mom,” Mira’s eyes welled up in tears. Her head, which was wrapped up with thick gauze aches, but the pain in her heart was much more than her physical pain.
Rebecca rushed to her daughter’s side, and pulled her into a hug. “Ohh my poor daughter. Why didn’t you tell me you are going through all this?” Rebecca wiped Mira’s tears that had already escaped her eyes.
After Mira’s calm down, Rebecca stood up, her eyes filled with rage. “I’m going to the Frederick family right now, to go and ask them about what they mean by this. This wasn’t our agreement. How dare Daniel take decisions on his own and want to divorce you?”
“Come back here, Rebecca. I don’t think we should be thinking about this now. All we should be thinking about is how we wouldn’t be thrown out of this villa, and end up on the street.” Jason roared, not liking how indecisive Rebecca was. They have more than enough problems already. Facing the Fredericks now wouldn’t be a good decision.”
Rebecca’s steps were halted by her husband’s words. He was right. If Lina comes back and sends them packing, where would they go? They had sold almost all Laura’s properties, trying to fill up their debt, leaving them with only the villa and the already bankrupt company, which no one wanted to buy.
Just as Rebecca was about to say something, Jason’s phone rang, shutting her up. With furrowed brow, Jason took out his phone. Seeing that it was a call from his assistant, he immediately picks up the call.
“Yes, Jack. What are you calling about?” Jason’s voice was transferred to the other end immediately after he pressed the answer button.
“Sir, someone is willing to buy the company. They are asking for your appearance so we can finish the paperwork.” Jack informed Jason excitedly, knowing that his salaries for the past six months that had not been paid, would definitely be paid after the company is sold.
“Really, Jack. Someone is actually willing to buy the company?” Jack’s voice was filled with joy.
“Yes boss. They contacted me a few minutes ago. I will send you the location of the meetings immediately.”
Jason nodded his head before hanging up, waiting for the location of the meeting to be forwarded to him.
Mira and her mother, who had perked up their ears, also heard the conversation. Although they were unwilling to let go of the company, they don’t have any choice than to sell it. The loan sharks are already on their necks. Who knew when they would come and seize them.
Not long, Jason rushed upstairs to change his clothes. It’s not up to ten minutes before his hurried footsteps were heard again. “I will be back soon. I’m going to negotiate about the price of the company.” Jason informed them before grabbing his car keys and left.
Mira and her mother nodded, not asking Jason about the details. They heard his conversation earlier. No need to ask too many questions.
“Mom, is everything going to be fine?” Mira hugged her mother’s arm, looking pitiful. The cheerful Mira of the past was gone. What was left was Mira, who was facing a love crisis.
“Have faith in your father. I’m sure he will sort everything out.” Rebecca caressed Mira’s head, reassuring her as they faded away into the background.

Raymond’s mansion.
“Here,” Raymond stretched out his hand to Lina after opening the car passenger seat. They are just coming back from the old mansion.
Lina gave Raymond a small smile, before putting her hand in his. Raymond could see that her smile was forced, but he didn’t pry much. With the emotional roller coaster Lina had gone through today, all she needed was a good night rest.
Lina stepped out of the car with the help of Raymond. She almost fell when her feet touched the floor. Raymond immediately bent his back, hooked his hand under her kneel, before taking her into his arms in a princess carry.
“Ahh,” Lina let out a scream as her hands immediately wrapped around Raymond’s neck in fear. “What are you doing? Put me down.” Lina whispered, but her head was already resting on Raymond’s chest, her actions the opposite of her words.
She knew Raymond wouldn’t put her down. She was just trying to act like a shy woman.
“What’s wrong with carrying my wife, huh?” Raymond smirked down at her, his blue orbs almost sucking her in. Lina evaded his gaze, not daring to look into his eyes.
Raymond chuckled as he made his way into the mansion with Lina in his arms.
“Welcome Mr and Mrs Walton. How was your day?” Butler Jenkins immediately rushed forward the moment the entrance door was pushed open.
His lips couldn’t help the smile that filled them. With his boss’ entrance, he knew that Lina had succeeded in bringing Raymond back home.
He winked at Lina, who gave him a small smile, understanding his meaning. Raymond raised an eyebrow, seeing the interaction between his wife and his butler. Without acknowledging Butler Jenkins’ greetings, he walked down the hallway, making his way upstairs to his room.
“Sir,” Butler Jenkins rushed forward with a small box in his hand.
Raymond stopped moving but he didn’t turn back. “What is it?” Lina stretched her neck as she looked over Raymond’s shoulder. She saw the small blue box in Butler Jenkins’ hand. She was very curious to know its content.
“Someone sent a package to the mansion earlier today. Should I…,” Butler Jenkins wasn’t given a chance to finish his words before he was cut off by Raymond.
“Take it to my study.” Raymond interrupted without thinking about what might be inside the box. He was so confident that no one would harm him in his territory.
Raymond continues his journey to his bedroom with Lina in his arms, not minding her curious gaze.
