CHAPTER 370: BATTLE PLAN II

Five minutes later:
“How long are we still gonna wait?” Emma rasped out.
It was obvious to the others that she was terribly impatient at this moment, and at risk to make a rash decision which might not benefit them at all.
“We are not waiting any longer.” Aiden stated wisely, knowing that anything apart from this would only incite Emma’s impatience the more.
“Okay. So, what’s the plan?” Emma asked, folding her arms across her chest, pleased with Aiden’s answer.
Aiden was silent. He wasn’t sure of the next step. It was quite tricky.
Then Julius made a suggestion.
“We can’t move in directly first, it’s quite risky.” He started, staring at Emma unblinkingly. Emma nodded, understanding the point, egging him to continue.
“We have to make them come out from the house, including the forest if they are here.” He said, and Emma unfolded her right arm, and gave him a thumbs up.
At least someone was thinking in her direction. For the only way to do this suggestion of his was to create a fire.
She wasn’t sure if she could do it, since she hadn’t done it before, but there was this feeling, this… she didn’t even know the term for it. She just knew that if she wanted to make a fire, then a fire would be made.
She also felt like there was another being inside of her waiting and seeking for an expression. She didn’t understand, and was a bit skeptical about telling Prescott about it.
Yodah broke her train of thought with his next statement.
“We can’t possibly raze down the house. There has to be something else.” He mentioned, not agreeing with the fire principle, for he was sure that had been what Julius had connotated.
“Why?” Emma asked, refolding her arms back, her eyebrows piqued sharply at Yodah who was unfazed by that sort of keenness in look.
“Well, for one… it might cause problems between us and this pack. I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Yodah replied.
“Do you have a better one?” Emma asked hurriedly, not even waiting for Yodah to breathe in after making his last statement.
Yodah was mute.
Emma rolled her eyes.
“You don’t have an idea, and you’re countering the one that was brought forward to the table?? Tsk tsk…” She taunted him, clucking her tongue, not still shifting her gaze from him.
Yodah shrugged, understanding that Emma wasn’t really in the right frame of mind, no matter how she acted like she was in control. He pitied her actually, unfazed by her taunt.
On a good day, he would have retorted back with a more demeaning taunt. But not today, not tonight. She wasn’t stable. No one was the same after losing a mate. He knew it would only get worse for her, especially when she turns eighteen three days from now(knowing that she shares the same birth date with Freya). He just hoped that she would be able to control it, or that whoever she was going to meet at her real home, was going to be a holding block to her outrages when they arose. Because they surely will.
“Can’t we heat up the house and the environment? Like boil it up? Without any fire though…” Freya suggested, speaking up for the first time in a while.
She had thought about it hard, whilst the others were bickering, and thought that this suggestion of hers was better than razing the house down.
“We just have to keep the temperature stable so that it won’t spike up a fire.” She continued, staring at each one of them.
“That’s not bad. I think this is better.” Prescott agreed. Aiden and Julius nodded.
And Yodah gave Freya a thumbs up.
Emma snorted.
No fun. She thought.
“You will have fun later. But for now, we need to do something with no dire repercussions on us from the wolf pack. It wouldn’t speak well of us and our decision if we raze down this house. Derek would think that you’re trying to get back to him this way, and that would only strengthen his stupidity and strong-headedness, including that of his pack. Do you want that?” Prescott asked her telepathically, and she sighed.
He was right. No house burning.
“So, who is doing the heating up?” She asked, unfolding her hands, and fisting them besides her.
Her hand touching her gown made her check out her outfit for battle.
She suspired, wishing that she was in a polo and rugged jeans, not some dinner gown.
The others, dressed officially in suits, looked a bit funny too.
“I can change your clothing, if you wish.” She heard Aiden say in her mind, and shrugged.
“How?” She asked, remembering Prescott’s gift.
“Yes, I can do the same.” Aiden said, replying to her thoughts.
“Imagine a cloth, and I will create it for you. You will see it on your body.” He continued, and Emma frowns in disbelief.
She would have called him a con, if she hadn’t had almost the same interaction with Prescott some hours ago. The difference was that the squirrel hadn’t created the gown.
Not wanting to waste more time, she imagined a red crop top and blue ripped jeans, topping it off with black chunky boots and a black hat.
Aiden smirked, after reading her mind.
The girl’s fashion sense definitely wasn’t affected by the rejection she had just faced.
Emma cocked her head at him, telling him to get on with it.
“Done.” He said in the next second, and she furrowed her eyebrows, and looked down, balking when she saw that she was no longer clothed in the gown, but in the exact clothing she had imagined.
“Superb.” She muttered with mouth like an “o”.
She looked up, her eyes widening a bit, when she saw that their clothing had been changed too. The guys were all on different colored polos and black denim jeans. Freya was in the same attire as her.
She pouted her lips unconsciously, taking in Freya’s look.
They really looked alike.
“Like what you see, sis…?” Freya mentioned, and Emma smiled, not able to stop the widening of her lips.
Even their voices were alike. She thought, before shrugging.
“You look me.” She replied, the smile still on her lips, especially as she noticed the latter smile more widely.
“So, who is doing the heating up?” Yodah asked, already cracking his knuckles.
