Lily stirred awake, her body feeling lighter than the previous day. She looked around the room and noticed that it was awfully quiet and Tony was nowhere to be found.
She was sure he had slept next to her.
“He might be downstairs.” She thought as she headed to the bathroom to get freshened up and ready for the day. She knew that there was no point in going to the hospital as Tony had made it abundantly clear the previous day that she would be staying away from the hospital for a while.
She agreed with him. She wasn’t ready to relive the previous day.
When she was done, she headed downstairs dressed in casual jean shorts and a black t-shirt to match.
Entering the dining room, she was met with Rachael who had her utensils in hand but her mind was elsewhere.
“Rachael?” Lily called out softly but it fell on deaf ears. She cleared her throat and called again, waving her hands before her face this time around.
“Rachael…” This time around, Rachael blinked and looked up.
“Oh, Lily.” She called out, startled by her sudden appearance even though it wasn’t so sudden.
“When did you get here? Sit, I’ll go get your breakfast ready.” She said, standing up to head into the kitchen.
“Where is Tony? Did he leave for the hospital?” Lily asked as soon as Rachael returned with a plate of toast and scrambled eggs with sausages on the side.
“Huh…” Rachael hummed. She heard Lily clearly but she didn’t know the answer to that question herself as Tony stormed off after getting that call that had him almost breaking a glass. He didn’t say a word to her so she didn’t know where he went but she couldn’t let Lily get worried so, she came up with an answer.
“Uhh, yeah. He had an urgent call and had to leave. He did tell me to make sure you have breakfast.” She answered with a smile, one that brought a blush to Lily’s face.
“I see…” Lily hummed and bit her lips.
“Rachael, do you think Oliver will be found? I am not comfortable with how quiet things are. I mean, I did see him get shot but, I haven’t heard a single thing since then. What do you think happened?” Lily asked, putting the eggs into her mouth.
Rachael sighed and pushed her hair backward with her free hand. “Oh, Lily. I have no idea. What I do know is that Tony is doing everything to make sure he is found.” She answered and Lily nodded but, there was still an unsettling in her heart.

His eyes fluttered open and were immediately met with a bright light, causing him to shut them tightly. His head felt heavy, almost as if he had been hit with a metal bat.
He decided to try again. He opened his eyes, slowly this time, and in a few seconds, they adjusted to the light. He looked around and discovered that he was in a familiar room.
“Fuck…” He hissed as a sharp pain rippled through his head as he attempted to sit up.
“He’s up.” He heard someone shout and before he could see who the voice belonged to, the room was filled with familiar faces.
“Finally up, eh?” One said, hitting his arm playfully with an unlit cigarette dancing on his lips.
“You almost scared me back there. I honestly thought I had killed you even though the shot was well-calculated. You’ve been unconscious for a whole day, my boy.” Another said, folding his arms and looking at him with a proud look on his face.
“Where…where is Lily? What happened?” He asked, his eyes wandering across the room, panic setting in.
“She’s with Draco. What the fuck are you talking about? We took her a few hours ago.” Another answered and his eyes widened as the events of the previous day flooded in.
“Oh…I see.” He said and then looked down to see that his shoulder was wrapped with a bandage.
One of the men beside him saw the pale look on his face and sensed that he was having regrets so, he took a seat beside him.
“Listen to me, Oliver. Whatever happened to the girl is none of your business and definitely not your fault You were only following orders. If there’s anyone to be blamed, it would be Draco.” He explained and Oliver nodded slowly, feeling a pang of guilt in his chest.
Even though he was sent to the hospital for the sole purpose of bringing Lily to Draco, he had grown to like Lily’s presence and saw her as a friend. Although, he knew that she wouldn’t want to be friends with him once the truth about his identity came out.
If it was within his power, he would have never taken Lily to that restaurant knowing fully well that the gang members were waiting. But, his hands were tied.
He was nothing but a puppet.
Mehdi’s puppet.
A ring broke through the silence and one of the men dug through his pocket to find his phone.
“What’s up?” He said as soon as he picked up.
“What? How the fuck did that happen?” He yelled, calling the attention of the others in the room.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck! Fucking hell!” He screamed, running his hand through his hair out of frustration.
The others gathered around him, wanting to know what the fuss was all about. He ended the call and stared at them with horror written all over his face.
“We’re fucked. We’re all so fucked.” He said, scaring them even more.
“What happened, Sage? What’s wrong?” One asked
“It’s Draco. He was arrested and Lily was rescued by the damn doctor.” He revealed and a sharp gasp was heard across the room.
“Oh shit.” One of them hissed.
Meanwhile, Oliver felt a weird relief in his chest, as if he was happy Lily was safe. Although, he knew what this meant for the whole gang.
