“We are under attack, ” the man screamed, and Mehdi’s eyes flew open as shock rippled through him.
“What? Under attack? By who?” He asked his attention now on the frightened guard.
“I don’t know who they are, boss, but it didn’t look like they belonged to a gang. They looked too sophisticated for that.” He answered.
“What about the other men at the gate? How the fuck did they even get in?” Mehdi asked, his mind racing. He wasn’t sure if he was to leave the basement or run to safety. But then again, the basement was hidden so it would be safer to stay in there.
“Secure the entrance and make sure I am safe.” He instructed the men in the room, and they nodded before taking off.
Lily heard everything they said and understood they were under attack, which meant it could be a perfect time for her to escape. Her only worry was that Mehdi didn’t look like he would be leaving the basement soon and if that happened, no one would know she was in there, so, she decided that the only thing she could do was to inform whoever had broken into Mehdi’s compound that there were people in there.
Lily watched as Mehdi quietly paced the room, avoiding making any sounds. She took a deep breath and prepared herself.
“HELP ME!” She screamed at the top of her voice, loud enough for the people outside to hear.
Mehdi turned to her with a panicked look on his face. “Have you fucking lost it? Shut the fuck up, bitch!” He commanded, but Lily was not going to let this chance go to waste.
She looked him dead in the eye and screamed louder, her lungs almost giving up. “PLEASE HELP ME! I’M DOWN HERE. THERE’S SOMEONE DOWN HERE!”
Mehdi grabbed her neck and pulled her up, furious with her, but Lily didn’t back down. She ignored his threats and continued screaming.
“Shut the fuck up!” Mehdi warned and landed a slap on her face, causing her to lose her balance but, Lily didn’t give up. She shook off the pain and continued crying for help.
Mehdi realized that she wasn’t going to stop if he didn’t make her so, he slapped her again. This time, blood spilled out of her mouth and she fell to the ground.
Weak and tired from his assault, Lily opened her mouth to scream again, but he put his hand around her mouth tightly, muffling her screams.
“If you don’t want me to kill you right now, you will shut the fuck up.” He threatened but Lily shook her head with tears in her eyes, refusing to back down.
Mehdi chuckled darkly as he held her. “You don’t think your darling Tony is here to get you, do you?” He asked and Lily paused, her eyes widening slightly as she realized that it could be Tony who had come to rescue her.
‘God, please. Let it be Tony.’ She prayed silently.
“Don’t delude yourself, Lily. Tony is too much of a coward to do that. He’s a doctor whose work is to save lives, not end them. He’s too much of a pussy to come here, so wake up.”
Meanwhile, Tony and his men took down Mehdi’s guard one after another. As Tony moved around the compound in search of Lily, he heard a voice from a corner.
“HELP!”
At first, he thought he was hearing things since all he could think about was Lily, so he stopped in his tracks to listen in again and after a few seconds, it came again, though it wasn’t as loud.
“Lily!” Tony whispered, his heart racing as he began running towards the sound of the voice.
“Here! Come here! She’s over here.” He yelled, calling his men as backup. In a few minutes, they all came running.
“We don’t have much time, boss. They had already called for backup so we have to hurry.” One of them said and Tony nodded before leading them in the direction of the voice which led them to a small house that looked like a dog house. Tony went in and saw a small door by the side and when he opened it, it revealed a staircase which led to a basement.
“She must be here.” He whispered and led them in, moving surreptitiously on the stairs.
Alas, they arrived at the end of the stairs and were met with three men standing at a wooden door with fear written on their faces as they saw the number of men Tony was coming in with.
From where they stood, Tony could hear muffled voices from inside the room, and he felt his blood boiling as he imagined Mehdi hurting his Lily.
“Handle them, I’ll get them.” He said to his men, who nodded and dragged Mehdi’s men away, giving way for Tony and two others to enter the room.
With one kick from Tony, the basement door swung open and Tony rushed in. Mehdi turned around with a startled look as he stood face to face with Tony, not as Mehdi King but as Draco.
“Lily!” Tony cried out, his heart shattering as he saw the state she was in. Mehdi had his hand wrapped around her mouth and another hand pressed down on her neck. But, with all of that, Tony could see the excitement and relief in her eyes as she stared at him.
“Fucking Idiots!” Mehdi cursed the men he had positioned at the entrance to guard the room.
“Let her go right now, Mehdi or should I call you Draco?” Tony said with a smirk, eyeing Mehdi.
A chuckle left Mehdi’s lips. “You do not expect me to be shocked, do you?” He asked and Tony’s brows creased in confusion.
“I’m not an idiot, Tony. I already knew that you found out about me being Draco. Why do you think I invited you to my party? Do you think I did that because I fancy you?” Mehdi asked, his lips curved into a sinister smirk.
“Oh, please. Do not fool yourself. I did that because I knew you’d come with Lily and I wanted to see her for myself.” He said and lowered his gaze to Lily, who was writhing in pain.
“After seeing her, I finally understood why both you and Louis are obsessed with her.” He said, trailing one of his hands around her waist. Lily shivered in disgust as his fingers came in contact with her skin.
“Get your filthy hands off her!” Tony screamed and charged at Mehdi, taking him by surprise. He grabbed him by the collar and landed a heavy punch on his face.
“How dare you lay your hands on her?” With every word that left Tony’s lips, a punch landed on Mehdi’s face.
“Stop! Please, stop! You’ll kill him.” Lily ran to Tony’s side and grabbed his hand, stopping him from hitting Mehdi any further.
Mehdi lay on the ground, his face disfigured, and his mouth covered with blood.
“This changes nothing, Tony. I will have my way in the end.” Mehdi coughed and smirked. “You have nothing to prove that I am Draco and no one will believe you over Mehdi King, a Nobel Prize winner.” He said, mocking Tony’s efforts.
Tony helped Lily get up and stared at Mehdi. “Well,” he chuckled.
“Good thing I came with police officers to witness this themselves.” He said, pointing to where Rico stood, a victorious smirk dancing on his lips as he saw the horror in Mehdi’s eyes.
“We finally meet, Draco. I have been trying to catch you for years.” Rico said, his eyes filled with hate.
