“My brother.”
Mollie nodded, “He’s changed a lot now, as you probably know. If you trust him, I can arrange a time for you to meet.”
“No need to meet. I’m being watched by many people, too conspicuous. I’ll contact him when I get back.”
Since her identity had been replaced, it was likely that her every move had been monitored.
“I think I already know the outcome. What are you going to do?” Mollie asked perceptively.
Hearing this, Callie paused in closing her lipstick, lifting her eyes slightly. In front of her, the traffic flowed like ants amidst the towering buildings.
“Reclaim what belongs to me.” The lipstick clicked shut with a decisive finality.
Callie’s face showed unprecedented determination.
Mollie stepped on the gas pedal, speeding down the wide road.

Top floor of Oconnor Group.
After Kieran finished his report and left, Davian walked in from outside, carrying a box of tea leaves. “Just got some Earl Grey Tea, want to try?”
Nelson unbuttoned his well-tailored suit and set it aside. By then, Davian had sat down and started boiling water.
“How’s the South District?” Nelson asked from his seat.
“Cyrus was beaten and hospitalized; he’s too old to take it. Jaquan has applied for bail.”
Nelson sneered, “That application has been unsuccessful for years, yet he’s persistent.”
Davian grabbed a handful of tea leaves, placing them in the teapot and pouring hot water over them before covering it.
“Some things are decided from the start. He’s overestimating himself. His boss in Anbusea can’t extend his reach that far. He can’t even manage Scott Group’s recent stock drop, let alone Cyrus.” He poured tea into a cup. “I don’t know why Jaquan is so fixated on him.”
Nelson took the tea cup, “He’s doing this because Owen still has value to him. He’s a desperado; it’s unclear who’s using whom.”
Davian frowned, “Does he really believe Owen won’t betray him?”
“After working for Owen for so many years, he’s become a trusted aide. When the time comes, it’s uncertain who those followers will listen to.” Nelson brought the tea cup to his nose, inhaling its aroma before taking a sip.
“If he gets caught, Owen won’t escape either. Their fates are intertwined.”
The tea was slightly bitter, not to his liking.
“What are they doing then? Scott Group’s stock is plummeting, nearly losing shareholder confidence. Oconnor Group has snatched several major construction projects from them, and Owen does nothing?”
Davian, being the manipulator, was well aware of Scott Group’s current situation.
“Owen doesn’t need to intervene. Ylosea and the Ellison family will clean up the mess for him.”
Davian remembered and clicked his tongue, “As long as he doesn’t divorce Marilyn, he has a way out. He’s holding onto that lifeline tightly.”
Nelson didn’t comment, staring at the ripples in his tea cup.
“And you?” Davian nudged his arm playfully. “Rumors are flying about you and Maevelyn. Are you holding onto that lifeline?”
Nelson pressed his temples, “No.”
“I’m not joking. You’ve known Maevelyn since childhood; she’s not an outsider. If you marry into the Ellison family, Oconnor Group would become even stronger. Don’t tell me you haven’t thought about it.”
As Davian spoke, he watched Nelson’s expression closely but saw nothing.
He took a deep breath, “You aren’t… still thinking about Callie, are you?”
