Maya had just finished her work. She took a last glance at the livestock before her and jotted down the final details.
“Miss Maya,” one of the workers called, and Maya looked back. “You have some visitors.”
“Oh, I’ll be there soon,” Maya smiled and removed her gloves.
She stepped outside and found a group of men. They were all dressed in black suits.
Maya felt a sense of foreboding but decided to stand her ground.
“Hello, Miss Maya Wallington-” the one who seemed to be their leader stepped forward and spoke.
“Just Maya, and I’m not a Wallington,” Maya said coldly. These men were from her father. How in the world did he find her?
“We were asked to bring you. I’d advise you to come without resisting,” he said calmly, but there was a hint of venom in his voice.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Maya said firmly.
The man lifted his gun and shot one of her horses on the left. Maya jerked as the painful neigh of the horse pierced the air.
“The next bullet goes to him,” the man pointed his gun at one of her workers, who shifted back in fear.
“Fine. I’ll go with you,” Maya raised her hands in surrender. ‘Fuck!’ she cursed inwardly.
What was her father planning this time around?

It had been several days since Cassius left for his mission. Despite all his grandfather’s efforts to stop him, he had failed.
Once Cassius set his mind on something, he would do it.
Not only had the Wallingtons hurt his mother, but they had also hurt many others. And if he wished to spend the rest of his life with Tatiana, then he had to wipe them out.
The mafia world was quite complicated. He knew a few things about it since his grandfather is one himself.
Cassius never had a sweet childhood. Aurora went through thick and thin to care for him. That was why he was so protective of her and had sworn to protect her at all costs. Now he had another woman to protect: his wife.
Cassius met his grandfather, Mr. Holden, while hustling his way into the entertainment industry. Holden said Aurora was his long-lost daughter and that he had been searching for her.
He promised to make up for all his mistakes by helping Cassius in every way. That was how Cassius became the king of the entertainment industry, with many armies.
Now, he was about to delve into something different. Something dangerous.
Mr. Holden advised Cassius to meet the don of the Gambino clan. He was an overlord, known to be crazily strong and ruthless.
Cassius arrived there two days ago. He hadn’t met the don yet but had been treated well since his grandfather was quite close with the don.
“He acts like an asshole and will definitely annoy you, but don’t let him get into your head, Cash. If you manage to convince him, then bringing down the Wallingtons won’t be tough.”
Cassius remembered his grandfather’s words and sighed.
“I hate it here,”
Cassius shifted his gaze to Jaxon lying on the couch.
“I never forced you to come,” Cassius returned his gaze back to the mobsters training.
“Like I said, this is for my cutie,” Jaxon took a slice of apple and threw it into his mouth.
“You’ve got another mission here, don’t you?” Cassius knew Jaxon better than anyone. “You still don’t want to tell me what’s troubling you?”
“You’re the one troubling me. Auntie asked me to watch over you. You’re one stubborn hell of a man, you know that,” Jaxon said, and Cassius gave him a glare.
Before Cassius could reply, a knock interrupted them.
“Don Valentino has arrived.”
Cassius and Jaxon stepped into the grand hall. There, Don Valentino sat on his throne-like chair adorned with gold. His chin rested on his right fist as his gaze locked with Cassius’s.
Valentino was shirtless, revealing those dangerous tattoos of his. His eyes had dark circles around them, and his slightly long hair was tied into a bun. His aura menacing, one could sense the intense power he possess.
As Cassius stood before him, a grin slowly formed on Valentino’s lips.
His wife, the Donna, stood and smiled. “Welcome, Mr. King. Your grandfather talked a lot about you, and we are glad to finally meet you.”
Cassius nodded, not shifting his gaze away from Valentino. Anyone else would shrink under those dark eyes, but not Cassius, because he had the same cold eyes and aura.
“Thank you for having me, Don Valentino. Maria,” Cassius greeted both.
Finally, Valentino stood up from his seat. He had a huge body frame, built and full of scars-scars that could only be seen if someone took a closer look. They were all covered in tattoos.
“Hello, Mr. King. It’s good to finally meet you. You’ve got your grandfather’s eyes,” Valentino slowly approached him. “And his courage. Not many men can look me in the eye without flinching.”
Cassius’s gaze didn’t waver. Valentino chuckled, a low rumble that seemed to vibrate through the air.
“I like that,” he stopped before him, his huge frame slightly overshadowing Cassius’s. The man was damn huge. “You have his spirit, Mr. King. I think you and I are going to get along just fine.”
Cassius remained quiet, his eyes studying Valentino closely.
Valentino continued. “But I’m sure your grandfather must have mentioned that I make deals to help. I can’t sacrifice my men without getting something from you.”
“I know that very well, Don Valentino,” Cassius forced a small smile. What an annoying aura he was getting from this man.
“Here’s the deal,” Valentino walked slowly around Cassius. “Your grandfather mentioned you’re married to one of the Wallington daughters. That was stupid of you, if you ask me, but I was thrilled when I found out which daughter you were married to.”
Valentino stood before him again. “Tatiana Wallington.”
Hearing how he mentioned his wife’s name with excitement, Cassius knew where this was going.
Jaxon, on the other hand, did the best thing he could do: remain quiet. Cassius definitely knew how to handle situations like this.
“I’ve watched every one of her movies. I’m a fan of hers. She looks sweet, intelligent, and-” he paused and leaned in closer, “incredibly sexy.”
Cassius didn’t react. His face remained calm.
“So here’s the deal: I’ll have a taste of your wife, and I’ll help you deal with the Wallingtons. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely go easy on her while I dive my cock into her.”
It was as if the air became choking. The calm expression on Cassius’s face disappeared, replaced with a look Valentino had never seen before.
Slowly, Cassius lifted his gaze to him. Those deep-shaded blue eyes seemed to bore into Valentino’s soul.
For the first time in his life, Valentino felt something he had never felt before. Even though it was just for a breathless moment… and that amused him.
The sudden change in Cassius’s demeanor was fucking scary-like the man was about to unleash a fury that would consume anything in its path.
In a low, dark voice, dripping with venom, Cassius finally spoke.
“I dare you to say that again… asshole.”
