Jessica’s Point of View.
A voice ( mike ) said through the ear phones, looked around as if admiring the design and extravagant decorations they did, I haven’t seen anyone at all from that family.
“No, none of them are here”
“Okay, look forward, you see the guy bringing in the cake?”
“Yes I do”
“Good, he is out guy, he has a twin, he is not employed here but once he goes missing, the twin will replace him so as not to arose suspicions”
“Okay, what should I do?”
“Once the whole family is there in the hall signal to him so he will start acting immediately, don’t worry the CCTV are already in Blac’s hand”
“Okay, no problem ”
I relaxed back into my seat, I don’t think I will or can smile anymore because am tired, I may have face paralysis from it if I don’t stop.
Xavier looked at me worried but I smiled and held his hand under the table to let him know am okay, he resumed chatting with the next guest, as he squeezed my hand…
“Ah, ah, ah, 1 2 3”
Someone started, they tested the mike and after the stage opened and the people strolled out, Marcus’s grandfather, father, mother uncle, aunt and cousins and lastly Marcus.
His eyes widened as soon as he saw us and Xavier being a jerk, my jerk smirked at him, well me? I pretended not to see him, couldn’t provoke him now, am after making sure they are all there , I tapped my cheek three times, whoever saw me will think I was scratching my cheek,
“Okay, he got your signal, whoever you see now is his twin brother ”
“Okay, hope everything works out”
“It will”
“I hope so.
Ahhh, this is going to be a long night ”
Mike’s Point of View
We were at the parking lot at the back of a van, computers and cameras can be seen all set up inside, Blac’s hands moving very fast on the laptop on his laps, soon the whole Cameras inside the house were replaced, we watched as the boy discreetly climbed up the stairs, he went to the left wing first,
“There is nothing here”
He said as he opened the doors as he walked,
“There are maids approaching you, enter the room”
Blac informed him as he quickly hide , once the girls passed, he came out and continued,
“I don’t think that place is occupied by any if them, that’s the guests and maids wing, go back to the right wing, and start your search”
I said to the boy, I remembered when we visited Marcus when we were still small, though they have renovated the whole place, I can still recognise some places,
“This looks like the mother’s room”
“Okay, lock the door first… Okay now take out that scanning device, run it across each wall you reach, search under the beds and cupboards”
I watched as he did it making sure to place everything back to its original place as if he has never been in there,
“Okay clear, go to the next room, it should be the father’s ”
“Nope, it’s actually the grandfather’s ”
“Better, run that device on both walls, floor and up”
“My hand won’t be able to reach up”
“Press the button there , it will become longer”
He did as he was told till he reached the wall close to the head board, the system started beeping,
“Wait, remove that picture there”
He did it, he carried it carefully like an egg and kept it on the floor, there was a safe there,
“Take out the other one and insert it into the pin hole there”
He did and Blac started typing again and after a while he said,
“772007”
“Input it into the safe ”
He did it and the safe opened, he pointed the camera towards it and I can see the gold bars, dollar notes and some files hidden underneath it,
“Take a picture of each files without missing anything ”
Once he was done, he closed the safe and kept everything back to the way it was, he existed the room and continued, he did to all room till he reached Marcus’s father’s own,
“Bingo”
He found a safe there and there were a lot a files there, he took a picture of each and every one of them, and there was a secret compartment on the head of the bed frame and there was what were looking for, he took all pictures and when he was done he made to leave but just like every too good to be true situation, someone unlocked the door with the keys, he quickly hid inside the curtains, Marcus was the person,
“Whee the hell did that man keep those files, someone said they were in here ”
The ear phone picked up his voice, seems like son is betraying daddy dearest,
“Mike, I can’t see Marcus anymore ”
Jessica’s voice came through, it sounded a little panicked,
“Don’t worry he is here, inside his father’s room with our man”
“Okay”
“Why did he leave the party to come here ”
“His father announced giving his (the father) Position to his cousin, so I guess he became angry”
“Greedy bastard, it was a great move because he would have ruined them anyways ”
I watched him search till he came across the secret compartment, the fool broke it off, and seeing what’s inside, he chuckled loudly,
“Oh, father, you are not as perfect and righteous as you claimed to be, well that’s better ”
He left after that and Blac checked the hall way and once it was cleared, our man made his escape and joined us inside the Van, we all cheered.
Jessica’s POV.
I smiled as I heard the cheering they were doing, I squeezed Xavier’s hand and smiled when he looked at me, he understanding it, returned it.
Tonight was successful as we wanted.
