Ava peeked over Klaus from the window, who stood beside his car waiting. After Morticia told her she finally found a way to convince this stubborn guy, she still found it hard to believe.
“Mom?” Morticia stood at the threshold. “What are you doing?”
“Are you sure Klaus agreed to this? I mean, what did you do to him. It was almost impossible, even for Vincent to convince him,” Ava muttered.
“Urgh… mom. We might miss the flight. And please don’t ask Klaus weird questions,” Morticia plead.
“Question like what?” Ava gave her a snubby look.
“Questions like, what did Morticia do to make you come. Cus that would literally ruin everything, and he might change his mind,” Morticia said, and Ava’s mouth hung.
“You’re right, I was planning to ask him that,” Ava mumbled, and Morticia shook her head. “Then if Klaus isn’t going to tell me.. then you do. Maybe I can do that to him, so he could listen to me too…”
“No!” Morticia exclaimed, cutting her off.
Ava held her chest. “That scared me. What’s with the…”
“We are going to be late. I’m off.” Morticia carried both her bag and Ava’s and quickly dashed out of the apartment to meet Klaus.
“Is someone chasing you?” Klaus smirked.
“No, my mom is acting weird,” Morticia replied, adjusting her hair.
“Good morning, Klaus. You look so handsome today!” Ava greeted, and Morticia sighed.
“Oh heavens,” she muttered.

At the airplane, Klaus and Morticia sat beside each other while Ava sat at he front. Josphine had gone to New York ahead, and she was so delighted to hear Klaus was coming. She was the happiest.
Klaus shifted uncomfortably in the plane, his eyes darting around as he tried to calm himself.
Morticia’s hand reached out to him. “You okay?”
Klaus nodded, but his eyes showed she was clearly not okay.
“I can’t believe I’m doing this,” he fidgeted on his seat. Morticia’s hand reached out to his, giving his a light squeeze that seemed to suit him.
“I’m here for you,” She whispered, and a smile finally spread on his lips.
The night dew close in the airplane, Ava was asleep in front, while Morticia was dozing off. Klaus saw her and made her head rest on his shoulder. His eyes stared at her, and he smiled a little.
As they emerged from the airport, Morticia grinned at the large city before her.
“It’s beautiful.” she jumped around like a little kid while Ava made a call with Josephine announcing their arrival.
They spot an expensive black car waiting for them with a guard standing beside it. Klaus recognized the guard as one of his father’s men.
Another figure stepped out. It was Josphine. Klaus expression was blank as they approached them. However, Josphine looked like the most happiest woman in the world.
“Josie!” Ava hugged Josphine, and Klaus watched them exchange teases. Josphine finally faced him, and she stepped closer.
“Hey,” Klaus muttered.
Josephine hugged him. “Thank you for coming, Klaus,” she muttered.
Her words stirred something deep within him, but he cleared his throat, prompting Josphine to break the jug.
“You’re welcome.” he cleared his throat again and entered the car first.
“Thank you, Morty,” Josephine said, the Morticia who nodded.
As they ride, Morticia wouldn’t stop staring outside the window. Josphine and Ava were riding ahead of them.
Not that she hadn’t been here before. She just loved the sight of the city.
“Wow, Klaus, look at that.” Morticia pointed at the park, its light shimmering under the cold evening. Adult could be seen in the large ferri wheel.. the sight was really beautiful.
Seeing how happy she was, Klaus kept it in mind that they were going to ride that during their stay here.
They lodged into a hotel to have dinner. Klaus was glad they didn’t get to his father mansion. He could have lost it. Ava and Josephine lodged into the same room while Morticia and Klaus’s were different.
“Goodnight. If you need anything, just give me a call,” Josephine said to both of them, who nodded in response.
“Goodnight,” Morticia said, entering her room. Klaus did the same. However, after a long while, Morticia couldn’t sleep. Klaus’s room was opposite hers. There’s no way she could sleep.
Especially when tomorrow might come hard for him.
After contemplating for a long while, she stood to go to him. However, she met him at her door, about to knock. They both chuckled as Klaus entered, locking the door.
Soon, tgey had themselves wrapped around each other on the bed, feeling each other’s warmth.
“I wonder how she feels. What she is hiding and how tomorrow is going to be,” Klaus sighed.
“It’ll be fine,”
“Hm.. I’d love to see you in that dress. I’ve been dreaming of it ever since you show it to me,” he said, and she chuckled.
“Really?”
“Yeah… I just hope men won’t stare at you too much. I’ll pluck their eyes out,” Klaus said, and she chuckled.
“Same goes for me,” she whispered.
He drew her close as he noticed the sleep in her eyes. She drew her head closer, like a doll. Her body was so fragile in her arm that all that scream in his head was to protect her.
She was asleep. Her breath was light and steady.
He had done crazy things just for her. Things he never imagined he’ll ever do…
She was the only one for her…
Even though he knew things might not go their way soon, he was ready to face it..
His heart thumps hard against his chest at the sight of her. It only meant one thing. He smiled as he came into conclusion… accepting it wholeheartedly.
He whispered. “I LOVE YOU… BUNNIE”
