The next day, Luca went to meet Sophia, and she was boiling with rage.
Luca’s heart ached as he stared at Sophia, her face flushed with anger and frustration. He knew that he had hurt her, had held her prisoner against her will, but he couldn’t let her go.
Not now, not after everything that had happened.
“Sophia,” he whispered, his voice low and dangerous. “I love you. I want to protect you. Please, listen to me.
Sophia shook her head, her eyes burning with anger and despair.
“I don’t want your protection,” she hissed, her voice trembling with emotion.
Luca stepped closer, his hands reaching for hers, but Sophia pulled away, her body shaking with rage and frustration.
“Don’t touch me,” she spat, her voice a venomous whisper. “I’m not your prisoner. I’m not your slave. I’m a human being. Let me go.”
Luca’s heart twisted with regret and sorrow, but he knew that he couldn’t let Sophia go. Not now, not with Don’s memory still fresh in his mind, not with the danger still lurking around every corner.
“Please, Sophia,” Luca whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “I know I’ve hurt you, but I can’t let you go. Not now, not with everything that’s happened. Don’s memory, the danger we’re all in…”
Sophia shook her head, her body trembling with anger and frustration.
“You’re not listening,” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. “I don’t care about Don’s memory. I don’t care about the danger. I just want to be free.”
Luca stepped forward, his hands reaching for her once again.
Sophia pushed him away, her face contorted with rage and despair.
“Don’t touch me,” she spat, her voice a venomous whisper. “I’m not your property. I’m not your toy. I’m a human being, and I deserve to be free.”
Luca stepped back, his heart heavy with regret and sorrow.
“I know,” he whispered, his voice soft and dangerous. “I know you’re not my property. But I can’t let you go. I can’t let you walk away from me.”
Sophia’s eyes flashed with anger and frustration.
“Why not?” she demanded, her voice a hoarse whisper. “What do you want from me? Why can’t you let me go?”
Luca stared at her, his heart pounding with an emotion he couldn’t name.
“Because I need you,” he whispered, his voice low and dangerous. “I need you to help me. I need you to help me make things right.”
Sophia shook her head, her eyes burning with anger and despair.
“You don’t need me,” she spat, her voice trembling with emotion. “You just want to control me.
Luca stepped closer, his eyes dark and dangerous.
“That’s not true,” he whispered, his voice a fierce whisper. “I need you. I need you to help me protect our child.”
Sophia’s breath caught in her throat, her eyes widening with shock and disbelief.
Luca’s heart ached as he stared at Sophia, her face flushed with anger and frustration. He knew that he had hurt her, had held her prisoner against her will, but he couldn’t let her go.

“That’s not true,” he whispered, his voice a fierce whisper. “I need you. I need you to help me protect our child.”
Sophia nodded, her heart racing with emotion.
“I know,” she whispered, her voice choked with tears. “I know we have a child. I know we need to protect him.”
Luca stepped closer, his eyes dark and dangerous.
“Then you understand why I can’t let you go,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous. “We need to be together. We need to protect Isaac. We need to make sure that he’s safe.”
Sophia nodded, her eyes shining with emotion.
“I understand,” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. “I understand why you’re doing this. But I can’t stay here, Luca. I can’t live like this.”
Luca’s heart twisted with sorrow and regret.
“I know,” he whispered, his voice soft and dangerous. “But what choice do we have? We have to protect Isaac. We have to make sure that he’s safe.”
Sophia shook her head, her body trembling with frustration and despair.
“I can’t do this, Luca,” Sophia whispered, her voice a hoarse murmur. “I can’t live like this. I can’t be your prisoner. I need to be free.”
Luca stared at her, his heart pounding with emotion.
“Please, Sophia,” he whispered, his voice pleading and desperate. “Please, try to understand. I don’t want to hurt you. I just want to protect you. I just want to protect our son.”
Sophia shook her head, her eyes shining with tears.
“I’m sorry, Luca,” Sophia whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. “I’m sorry, but I can’t do this. I can’t live like this. I can’t live in fear, in darkness, in captivity.”
Luca stared at her, his heart heavy with sorrow and regret.
“What can I do?” he whispered, his voice soft and dangerous. “What can I do to make you stay? What can I do to make you happy?”
Sophia shook her head, her breath catching in her throat.
“I don’t know, Luca,” Sophia whispered, her voice choked with tears. “I don’t know what you can do. I don’t know how to make this work.”
Luca’s heart twisted with grief and sorrow.
“Please, Sophia,” he pleaded, his voice low and desperate. “Please, don’t go. Please, stay with me. Please, stay for Isaac.”
Sophia’s breath caught in her throat, her tears spilling down her cheeks.
“I can’t,” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. “I’m sorry, Luca.
Luca’s heart ached, his eyes stinging with tears.
“I’m sorry, too,” he whispered, his voice low and dangerous. “I’m sorry that I couldn’t make this work. I’m sorry that I couldn’t make you happy. I’m sorry that I couldn’t make you stay.”
Sophia nodded, her voice a hoarse whisper.
“It’s not your fault, Luca,” she whispered, her tears streaming down her face. “It’s not your fault. It’s just how things are.
