Elaine POV
Azaire groaned with satisfaction as he devoured my neck. Water poured over us from the shower. His teeth grazed my shoulders and my neck. I palmed the cubical wall as Azaire rolled his body into me. He fondled my breasts, drawing pants and moans from my lips.
“Azaire…”
I was on the edge of paradise but I couldn’t take the leap without him. I wanted to come together. I couldn’t hold out anymore. Azaire rammed his body harder into me, telling me that he was close.
However, I couldn’t wait for him. A shaking orgasm consumed me. My eyes rolled into the back of my head and my body went limp. My mate came soon after me. He trapped me in his protective arms as he unleashed his load.
I moaned because I was incapable of forming words.
“So much for a shower,” Azaire murmured.
“We set ourselves up,” I sighed.
“I’d do it all over again.”
We collapsed on our bed and tangled our limbs together. I was at peace with this man. I was tempted to fall asleep as he gently rubbed my arm.
“Leon’s coming over,” Azaire said.
“That means I have to find somewhere to go.”
“No…” he sat up.
“I want you to get to know my son.”
“Holly doesn’t want that…”
“Holly’s not coming over today. He’s coming with his grandmother.”
I bit my bottom lip but Azaire’s stern look told me this wasn’t up for negotiation.
I sighed in defeat. “Fine. You have a beautiful son.”
The corner of his mouth raised. Not wanting to dwell on the subject of children I tangled myself from his body.
“Mom wanted to see me though,” I said.
“Tell her to come here. You’re not getting out of this Elaine.”
“Oh, I know…” I exhaled.
He flashed me a naughty grin.

Leon arrived with his Grandmother Paula Prescott and a nanny. Paula wasn’t amused with my presence either but she wasn’t vocal about it. Azaire picked up his son and placed him between us on the couch. I could feel four eyes burning holes in my clothes as I tried to interact with the boy.
Janet didn’t like me because I was in the way of her perfect family idea for Azaire. She should know her son is old enough to make his own decisions.
The doorbell sounded and I got to my feet quickly.
“Uhh… that must be my Mother,” I said.
“The witch?” Paula asked.
I nodded. “Yes, she’s a witch. A good one too.”
Paula nervously looked at Janet. “I didn’t realize the Blood Moon Pack still had a coven.”
I bit the inside of my cheek and hurried to open the door. I just needed a break. I opened the door and Uncle Damien wheeled himself in.
“Uh, Elaine, good to see you again!” he beamed.
I looked around and there was no sign of his girlfriend. She seemed nice last night but out of place.
“Uncle Damien, I’m glad you’re here.”
“I came to meet Leon. This blasted wheelchair won’t keep me down forever.”
I offered him a small smile. “We missed you around here.”
So far Damien doesn’t have a problem with me.
“Janet’s not giving you kids too much trouble is she?” he raised a brow.
“What? No… she’s alright… she loves Leon.”
“Of course she does. Being a grandmother is all she’s ever wanted after she had her children.”
“Oh Elaine, you’re already here,” Mom’s voice drew me from Damien.
I breathed a sigh of relief. Another supporter.
“Did you think I wouldn’t come?” she asked.
“Of course not, I was just welcoming Uncle Damien.”
“Elaine, who is this fine specimen?” Damien asked.
“Uh… she’s my Mother, Gail.”
Damien’s eyes twinkled like stars in the sky. “She is simply divine.”
Mom beamed and I felt like the third wheel.
“Thank you.”
“Well, I must go, but I’m sure it’s not the last time we’ll see each other,” Damien said before he wheeled himself into the living room.
I raised my brow at Mom who was still smiling.
“Azaire’s Uncle is quite the flatterer,” she commented.
I shrugged. “I guess so.”
I used her visit as an excuse not to return to the living room. I took her outside. It was a beautiful day so we took a walk in the flower fields.
“As much as I wanted to see you because I missed you, but I’m worried.”
I paused. “What are you worried about?”
She exhaled and looked around the field of purple and red flowers.
“Since you gave me your magic. I’ve been more sensitive than usual. I’ve had an intense bad feeling for the past couple of days. I did everything to get it to go away.”
My heart beat faster and my throat tightened.
“What are you saying, Mom? Is something wrong?”
She nodded. “I think there is. I know the family doesn’t work with witches but they might consider protection magic for the sake of the child in the house and the one on the way.”
I ran my fingers through my hair. “Are you sure it’s bad?”
“Yes, Elaine. Something’s moving in the cosmos.”
