“So, marrying for love is such a wonderful thing,” Summer remarked with a happy smile on her face. “Only by marrying for love will people grow to love each other more, be willing to compromise and accommodate, and make life better and better.”
“Yes,” Agnes agreed, feeling very happy. Every day with her Mr. Kitten made her feel incredibly happy. The whole world seemed sweet, and she was full of creative inspiration; her entire mood had changed.
So, what is good love? Good love is when you can become better for each other.
Three days later, Claire returned home with the baby. Her postpartum recovery was stable and quick. Katherine, as the mother-in-law, personally took care of her daughter-in-law during the confinement period. Yes, she had not yet returned to Lu Layeka. The Russell family parents were very touched and reassured.
That evening, Finnley and Mya drove to the suburbs, enjoying the beautiful sunset along the way. They were in particularly good spirits. The trunk of the car was filled with daily necessities and groceries they had just bought. Their child had just fallen asleep and was left in the care of a nanny.
Their child was almost one year old, and their relationship had grown more stable despite Clarence’s incident. Mya’s character had also become much more composed. Recently, Finnley had arranged for a few unique houses to be built in the suburbs as a retirement plan for Mya’s parents. So whenever they had time, they would come over to check on the progress and manage things.
By now, the house and yard were completed in a traditional country style, newly situated in the fields. Clarence would soon be released from prison, and Shirley had started furnishing the house, even buying new bedding.
The car stopped in the spacious yard. Finnley and Mya got out of the car. Shirley, who was cleaning the yard, quickly stopped what she was doing.
“Mom.”
“You’re back?” Shirley was surprised but smiled warmly. “The house is almost fully furnished; there’s no need to buy more things.”
Finnley opened the trunk, and he and Mya began taking things out. The young couple smiled as they said, “The kitchen might not be fully stocked yet. Here are some oil and rice, some noodles, and other groceries that can be stored in the fridge.”
Shirley helped them carry things inside. “Oh my, isn’t it a bit early to prepare all this? I’ve only been coming here to clean; I didn’t plan on cooking here yet.”
“But we will eventually need it,” Mya said. “Dad will be out soon, and everything we bought has the latest expiration dates; they won’t go bad.”
“Thank you so much,” Shirley said emotionally. “Why didn’t you bring Witney today? You usually do; I miss my little granddaughter.”
Finnley replied, “Mom, Witney has a slight cold.”
“A cold? How is she?” Shirley suddenly became worried.
Mya quickly answered, “It’s nothing serious; she’s already better. But the doctor advised against letting her catch another chill too soon to prevent a relapse.”
“Alright then, we must be careful.”
They chatted while carrying things into the kitchen and then helped clean up the yard. Finnley even took scissors to trim the potted plants in the yard.
Mya was also busy; since her father’s incident, she seemed to have grown up overnight and became her mother’s close confidant. With Finnley’s support, their lives hadn’t been too tough… everything seemed promising for the future.
Life is like this; you have to go through some storms before you see the light at the end of the tunnel.
