“I can understand, Angel,” Priyank said, trying to calm himself as usual, his anger ready to burst out. He didn’t like the way she had just spoken to him at all.
He was having a hard time understanding everything too, but he wasn’t behaving like this. He was stopping himself from letting his anger take over, especially after she had just run away from him.
“You don’t understand! What will you understand? You just ruined my life. I don’t even want to see you, and now I find out you are my mate. Why does it have to be me?” Priya jerked her hand away from him, her eyes shining with tears, the red orbs sparkling from crying.
Priyank’s jaw clenched as his muscles tightened. She had really developed this habit of showing anger and saying whatever she wanted during the three days she had been away from him. From the start, he didn’t think she feared him. That’s why she ran away so smoothly. If it weren’t for this whole scenario, he wouldn’t have gotten her back.
How would he have found her in the forest? The thought never crossed his mind. No matter how many people he sent to find her, he wouldn’t have succeeded. She would be in a place he could never even imagine.
“Calm down, Priya. You see right now who you’re talking to. I don’t think this will end well, so don’t get on my nerves,” he warned, wanting her to keep her mouth shut.
He had thought he would give her a shoulder to cry on, even after the pathetic stunt she pulled. Yet, here she was, saying things that would only make the situation worse. The situation was bitter, and he did understand her meltdown. But did she understand the pain he felt when she escaped from him?
Like a pathetic fool, he was here understanding her meltdown, but she didn’t understand his feelings at all. She was still focused on how she never wanted to meet him.
His feelings were like crushable candy, and she didn’t care. She just walked all over him. Priyank Sharma, who never let people even stand beside him, was letting her walk all over him, and she still couldn’t appreciate it.
Why did he have to be the only one giving? He might be a giver, but that didn’t mean he was dumb like her. He didn’t like her bold self before, and now he knew it was her Wolf who behaved like this because he was her mate. He preferred her Wolf to be in control, at least showing some love and appreciation.
Unlike Priya, who was worse. He didn’t claim to be some god-like person, but he had some empathy and sympathy towards her, while she had none for him.
“Go away,” she cried.
Priyank took a deep breath, trying to reign in his anger. “Listen, Priya, I know this isn’t easy for you. It’s not easy for me either. So don’t behave like a shit.”
Priya’s tears flowed freely now, her anger giving way to sorrow. “Shit?”
“Yes, shit. Because I swear, Priya, I’m not even talking about the fact that you ran away from me. And you still have the guts to behave like this,” Priyank gritted his teeth.
“I ran away because I don’t like you. I don’t want to marry you. I don’t want anything from you. You were forcing me into it. Running away was the last option I had,” Priya stated, hating how he blamed her as the victim.
When it’s him who is wrong-okay, maybe not about her birth and the truth of the situation-but the fact that he forced and hurt her, that’s not changing. He is clearly wrong in that.
“You think I care? I don’t give a fuck about it. You never once thought about how much I fucking want you.”
“Why should I think about that when I don’t want you?”
Priyank’s jaw clenched as he struggled to control his rising anger. “You’re so damn stubborn, Priya. Can’t you see we’re meant to be together?”
“Meant to be? Are you delusional? I don’t want anything to do with you!”
He took a step closer, his voice low and dangerous. “You can’t just walk away from this. I am your mate, and you’re going to accept it.”
She shook her head, tears streaming down her face. “No! I won’t accept it.”
He grabbed her arms, his grip tight. “You belong to me, Priya. You’re mine.”
She struggled against him, fear and defiance in her eyes. “I belong to no one! Let me go!”
“Priya,” he said, his voice softer now, desperation creeping in. “Please, just give us a chance. I love you.”
She stared at him, her expression hardening. “Love? This isn’t love. This is possession.”
“I am possessive about you, now even the fate want us to be together”
She wiped her tears, breathing heavily. “You don’t get to decide my fate. I won’t be with you just because you say so.”
He looked away, struggling to contain his emotions. “Priya, I’m not giving up on you.”
“Why don’t you understand that I can never fall for someone like you? Why is that so difficult for you?”
Priyank laughed bitterly. “Now even your so-called werewolf God has set us up. How will you escape, huh? You can try running, but you’ll end up dead. This time, I didn’t come after you. Your life was at stake, and the people around you led me to you. So, don’t you think you should stop dreaming?”
He had had enough of her so-called babbling.
Priya’s eyes flashed with anger. “I don’t want it, I will see for myself.”
Priyank’s frustration and hurt was evident in his voice. “That’s not on you. You will figure it out slowly.”
She scoffed, wiping her tears defiantly. “Figure out what? There’s nothing to figure out. I don’t love you, and I never will.”
He stepped closer. “But I love you, Priya. Can’t you see that?”
“I don’t care!” she shouted. “Your love means nothing to me.”
Priyank’s eyes narrowed for a moment as he glared at her. She had just treated him like trash. Here he was, begging and trying to show his love. But would she ever understand like this? She wouldn’t.
