Priya sat in the room, watching the stars and moonlight from her window, feeling not so good, but after talking to Daisy she did feel rather calm.
She doesn’t know what her future holds but clearly she will try to escape tomorrow, no matter what, she did get this clarification today.
Everyone is selfish, no matter what, with one way or another, she has to choose herself just like how Mary told her.
Is it too bad? She asked herself.
Of Course in some it’s not justified, but she has no other hope, once married, she will be in this hell house for her whole life.
All her dreams will be crushed, and no way she is any interested in that.
Her studies, her whole life will be destroyed, the way she shakes even with Priyank presence and the way he touches her doesn’t make her feel good.
She never can believe or find what is wrong with him, but clearly everything is so wrong with him, and that’s why everyone around him is so scared of him.
He doesn’t even treat people well, all he knows is how to treat people like trash.
And she is in no mood to get treated like trash.
Maybe in his eyes she is no less than trash, but in her eyes, she holds a lot of worth, Orphan or not, poor or homeless nobody deserves to get treated like this.
People who work under him are human too, and he is human too, but all his eyes and actions show how he considers himself way bigger than anyone else.
Even though his own mother is so polite and treats everyone with respect, such a polar opposite thing, that too when kids pick their parents’ traits.
‘Is that from his father? Though I didn’t even see his father once,’ Priya asked to herself.
This does make sense because Priyank doesn’t share any traits like Daisy, so maybe he is like his father?
Could be the reason, then why he hated it, when I mentioned his father that day? Priya questioned herself.
She still remembers how he blasted and was ready to beat her that day, in front of Mary and everyone she mentioned his father, though she got saved that day because Mary took her.
But now Priya only has herself, she can’t do anything, but has to protect herself.
Shiver ran through her whole body, just by thinking about everything.
She knows she’s in a precarious situation, trapped between her desire for freedom and the fear of what Priyank might do if she tries to escape. The mere thought sends shivers down her spine.
Yet, Priya is determined. She can’t let herself be a victim of Priyank’s cruelty any longer. She’ll find a way out, no matter the risks.
As she lays in bed, her mind races with plans and possibilities. Tomorrow will be the day she takes her first step towards freedom.
She has to, not just for herself, but for her future too.
“Miss, can I come inside? Sir called, he wanted to talk to you,” the polite voice came from outside.
Priya sat straight, knowing how Priyank told her he would call her, and true to his words, he is calling her.
Without caring about the fact that it’s twelve o’clock at night, and she might be sleeping, but again, he did tell her to wait, so she can’t even blame him, neither is she sleeping too.
“Mam, did you hear me? Sir is waiting,” the panicked, yet polite voice boomed again.
“Yes, come inside, please,” Priya answered, snapping back from her thoughts, which she was stuck in.
Priya watched as the door opened, revealing the figure of the maid appeared.
“Sorry to disturb you at this hour, Miss,” she said, stepping inside cautiously.
Priya nodded, gesturing for her to continue.
“Sir wants to talk with you on call,” she explained, her voice trembling slightly.
Priya’s heart sank. She knew this late-night summoning couldn’t mean anything good.
“Alright, give me the phone,” she replied, her voice steady despite her growing apprehension.
The maid handed Priya the phone, and Priya took a deep breath before answering. She knew she had to brace herself for whatever Priyank had to say.
“Hello?” Priya said, her voice echoing slightly in the quiet room.
“Angel,” Priyank’s voice came through the line, smooth and calculated. “I hope I didn’t disturb you too much.”
“No, not at all,” Priya replied, her tone guarded.
Priya’s heart raced, waiting for him to speak.
“I missed you,” he said, sweetly.
“What do you mean?” she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
“I mean, I am thinking about our first night after marriage,” Priyank said bluntly.
Priya’s stomach churned. She had been dreading this moment ever since she stepped foot into this house.
“I… I don’t know what to say,” Priya stammered, her mind racing for an escape route.
“There’s nothing to say, my dear,” Priyank replied smoothly. “It’s a simple matter.”
Priya felt like the walls were closing in on her. She couldn’t breathe.
Priya’s heart sank as she struggled to find the right words to respond. The pressure of Priyank’s words weighed heavily on her.
“I… I don’t want to think about it now, I am sleepy,” she managed to say, her voice barely a whisper.
“Of course, my dear. Take all the time you need,” Priyank replied smoothly. “You have till tomorrow night sweetheart.”
Priya didn’t say anything, her gaze shifting to the maid, who stood motionless, almost like a statue.
“Are you uncomfortable, because the maid is standing?” Priyank asked.
Priya was shocked, not understanding how he knew.
“Don’t be so shocked sweetheart, my house is full of cameras, even my room too. Send the maid away,”
Priya gasped, her eyes widening, her lips drying at the mention of cameras.
“I said tell the maid to leave, sweetheart, why are you making a face like you saw a ghost”
Priya felt a cold shiver run down her spine as she processed Priyank’s words. The realisation that she was being watched.
With a forced calmness, Priya turned to the maid, her voice trembling slightly. “You can go now,” she said, trying to hide her unease.
The maid nodded silently and hurried out of the room, leaving Priya alone.
Priyank’s voice interrupted the silence, his tone unnervingly casual. “I hope you understand now, my dear. There’s no escaping me.”
Priya’s heart pounded in her chest as she struggled to maintain her composure. She refused to let Priyank see her fear.
“I understand,” she replied, trying to hide that she still has her determination.
“Good,” Priyank said with a smirk. “Now get some rest. You’ll need your energy for tomorrow.”
With that, he ended the call, leaving Priya feeling more trapped than ever.
Alone in the room, Priya collapsed onto the bed, her mind racing with thoughts of escape. She knew she had to find a way out of this nightmare, no matter the risks.
Tomorrow couldn’t come soon enough.
