Priya looked at herself, hearing Priyank’s comment, according to her, she didn’t look fragile at all. It’s just his thinking to claim that she is fragile when she is not.
Priyank noticed how Priya was looking at herself. It was giving off a cute vibe, and all the frustration he felt before flew out from his body.
“I am …not fragile,” Priya answered, feeling not good about being called fragile.
“Yes, she is right. She is not fragile; she is fine. She is just young,” Daisy supported, as she eyed Priyank, so he could shut up.
Of course, she also thinks that Priya is just so small and looks like a person who can easily break if someone touches her hard.
But it’s not true; Priya is handling him, so if anyone can handle Priyank, Daisy doesn’t believe they are fragile at all.
“What is the issue in telling the truth? I am not lying, Mom,” Priyank wanted to laugh, seeing both Priya and his mother giving him looks.
As if they are one team and he is the enemy.
“Aunty, I don’t want any dessert,” Priya sadly said.
Daisy looked at Priya, who looked all sad, before how happy she was looking, and now it’s all vanished from her face.
“It’s fine, if you want to eat, you are going to eat. No one can stop it,” Daisy encouraged, patting Priya’s head.
She can’t let Priya sacrifice herself again and again when it shouldn’t happen.
If this continues, then Priyank will make it his habit to control Priya, and that’s not a good thing at all.
Priyank sighed as he focused on eating his own food. Now he just can’t fight off his mother; that’s never happening.
He just gives a side look to Priya, feeling proud that at least one time in the life she is here going according to his words.
She denied eating the junk, due to him; that means she is scared or at least they are making progress, right?
“No, Aunty, I am already very full,” Priya forced her lips to smile, as he saw Priya giving her side eyes, her heart beating too fast in fear.
Whatever happened yesterday installed a fear inside her heart.
Not just what happened inside the bathtub, how he made Mary agree to send her here, that’s the biggest fear of all for her no matter how she counts it off.
“Oh, maybe you can make a little space in your tummy for the delicious dessert,” Daisy tempted Priya with an offer.
She could see that Priya wasn’t too full to have it; she was just refraining because of Priyank.
“You should go and bathe now, Priya, because I’m taking you to the office with me. I’ve already ordered everything you need; they’re all settled in my cupboard now,” Priyank wiped his lips with the napkin.
Early in the morning, before even taking a bath, he got everything he ordered for Priya the night before. He didn’t know what she would want or what would be useful for her.
But he ordered a lot of stuff, and if she needs more, he’ll buy it.
“Why? I don’t think she needs to go to the office; she doesn’t look fine at all,” Daisy interjected.
“Mom, you know I don’t disrespect you, but I would be glad if you don’t speak on her behalf. She looks fine to me, and even if she’s not, her mood will improve if she comes with me,” Priyank clenched his fist under the table as his eyes rolled.
He didn’t know what his mother’s issue was; she was behaving too overprotective toward Priya, and he didn’t like it.
Of course, he was glad that his mother and Priya had a good bond, but the way his mother was condemning him, it just wasn’t right.
“Priyank, I said she’s not going, which means she’s not. It’s final. Didn’t you say you want to marry her? How could you bring her here without any marriage or without telling me?” Daisy’s nostrils flared as anger showed all over her face.
She was holding it back, not wanting to be angry, because she knew sooner or later this would happen.
But the way Priya cried, how Mary sent her off so harshly, she knew it was Priyank who made her do this. And now he was behaving so controlling.
He was already exerting too much control, and if Daisy didn’t put him in his place, he would go too far.
Priyank’s face twitched. If it weren’t for the fact that it was his mother behaving like this with him, he didn’t know what he would do, especially since it was a matter he didn’t want anyone to disturb.
Priya was his alone. Even though he would be happy if his mother showed her motherly love, that didn’t mean he would be happy with his mother making decisions for them.
“I will talk to you, Mom. Priya, you go and bathe, get ready,” Priyank ordered in a stern tone.
Priya looked at Daisy. She wanted to deny and retort, but then she remembered that if things got out of hand, Daisy wouldn’t be able to protect her. She hadn’t protected her before, so how could she protect her now?
Immediately, Priya stood from her chair, pushing it back a little as she walked to his room.
Daisy wanted to stop her, but she chose otherwise.
“Talk,” Daisy, in a sour mood, looked at her one and only son, as she wanted to know what he wanted to talk about.
“Mom, why are you so angry with me? About the marriage, I already started off the procedure in court, and didn’t I tell you that she would be mine no matter what? So now that she is mine, why are you behaving so angry with me?” Priyank explained.
His tone and face were dripping with the seriousness that he was feeling in the moment.
“I don’t have an issue; the whole issue is how you are treating her; did you not notice her lips? You think I am a kid who doesn’t know anything?” Daisy raided her tone as her anger shot up.
Priyank took a deep breath. “Mom, she is not a kid either; that’s why whatever we do inside the bedroom, it’s not something you should be concerned about.” Priyank’s voice got hard as he tried not to lash out.
“I am not going to talk to you; do whatever you want, but remember, this is not right at all.” Daisy pushed the chair as she angrily sprinted out of there.
