I couldn’t believe I had just almost spilled the only secret I had, how could I have been so dumb to think of telling Kade I was Azalea’s real second chance mate,
But keeping it a secret was also really tiring and I could only hope that things would change from now on because I wasn’t going to for any reason give up on Azalea, I would fight my father to the end just to make her mine again and I knew just where to begin.
I walked into the garden and Azalea was alone there reading her novels as usual while I stood still and quietly watched her as she seemed to be smiling to herself.
“You must really love the novel?” I questioned before taking a seat beside her.
I stared at her from head to toe and I couldn’t help but be more determined, she belonged to me yet my father deflowered her but I couldn’t say anything. All I did was feel jealous over something that belonged to me but I couldn’t do anything.
He continued to maltreat and beat up my own mate as if she belonged to him yet I kept quiet and the only thing I kept saying to myself was even patient, she belongs to you and no one else but now Kade was trying to step in, and also take advantage of the fact that she was once his mate before he rejected her now that that same bastard had returned to the palace to claim her and even wants to fight my father for her place.
I slowly watched her read out the words from the novel as I tried to be attentive to her, watching her smile at each word she uttered…I knew she was happy that I wanted to stay with her in the garden.
“One of these days you should read this novel, it’s very intriguing and exciting.” She said to me but my gaze was only on her lips, I held my hands tightly in a fist as I tried to hold in my urge but it was pulling me too much.
“You shou….” I kissed her immediately, I was expecting her to maybe push me away since she was making it so obvious that she didn’t like me but instead the book fell from her hands and she grabbed me closer to her making the kiss more intense.
I tried to stop thinking about what Kade said as I knew the moon goddess brought us together for a reason but just then I began to perceive Isabelle getting close to the garden and stopped kissing her since her sense of hearing was still faint she was a bit puzzled.
“Why did you stop?” She questioned me but I smiled. I guess I was happy with myself that she didn’t reject me this time or claim I was doing something bad or an abomination with her, she stroked her cheeks gently with a smile.
“I wish your inner wolf wasn’t locked, things would have been so different…Isabelle is coming that’s why I stopped.” I whispered, making her chuckle.
“I totally forgot this wasn’t your chamber and anyone could walk in…I am so sorry.” She said before picking up her book while I stood up to make us look less suspicious because the one thing Isabelle was after was making Alpha Federico hate Azalea and I didn’t want to be the cause of that in any
Isabelle walked in just as expected but she seemed angry instead of calm and walked roast me directly to Azalea.
“Are you happy now!!! Kade is falling in love with you yet again, are you happy!!!” Isabelle yelled and just then The conversation between me and Kade came back and that made me doubt myself more.
“What sort of rubbish is that, Kade belongs to you and I have never thought of making Kade mine …I don’t go back to the trash I dumped,” Azalea said and I couldn’t help but chuckle before moving in front of Azalea, I wasn’t going to watch Isabelle slap Azalea this time around.
“Stop saying rubbish to Azalea, Isabelle,” I muttered but the way Isabelle looked at me made me wonder what was going through her mind.
“And who are you to stand up for her, you should be out there finding your mate and being a responsible son and stop getting into my business and putting your mouth into the adult matter,” Isabelle said but this time around I wasn’t ready to let her slip away after insulting me like that.
“I just hope you aren’t planning on doing what I am thinking?” I questioned her which made her puzzled just as I wanted, I walked closer to her so we would be staring directly into each other’s eyes.
“Don’t tell me you are doing all this because you are in love with my father or you are just thirsty for more power and you are targeting to eliminate Azalea,” I whispered to her with a smirk.
Isabelle stared at me angrily before lifting her hand up to hit but I held it, keeping her hand up in the air.
“You cannot be Luna, alpha Federico doesn’t marry people with rotten ins like yours so don’t waste your time thinking he would even glance at you for a second, he is only keeping you here because he sees you as a threat and wants to know the kind of person you are,” I said to her and from the way her facial expression changed I knew my words was getting into her brain, she tried to force her hands out of my grip but I was already holding on to her tightly.
“You don’t know what I can do to people like you.” She warned but Azalea stepped in.
“You can’t threaten anyone in this palace because you are nothing,” Azalea said and then I let go of her hands. She looked at me tiredly from all the dragging and turned to leave but stopped.
“Watch your back Azalea, we might just end up competing for who would be the queen.”
