Chapter 86
I woke up the next morning to see Lady Rosa standing in front of me with a towel and other maids in her back.
“Good Morning my queen.” Lady Rosa and in fright, I stood and made sure to clean my eyes more than once just to be sure that nothing was wrong with me and neither was I seeing double.
“Why are you all here? I told you I could take care of myself and Lady Rosa. Why are you even here, do you want to threaten more on how to do things?!!” I yelled but Lady Rosa still stood a bit calm.
“We apologize and would like to still take perfect care of you.” Lady Rosa said not even sparing me a glance.
“Huh, you apologize? Do you know I can sack you at this rate and with the kind of authority I have!” I said to Lady Rosa who immediately fell to her knees throwing the towel to the ground and putting her hands together to plead with me.
“I am truly sorry my Luna, I shouldn’t have acted the way I did to you so please forgive me.” Lady Rosa said and that confused me even more because this wasn’t what I expected, she had always hated me so much why was she suddenly being so nice to me, I looked up at the other maid who looked like they were all at the edge of laughing at what Lady Rosa was doing.
“If you are truly sorry then I think you should begin by preparing a hot bath for me,” I said to her to make her leave and ask the maids what was going on.
“Yes, my Luna.” She replied with so much respect before walking away.
Immediately she left I turned to the other maids who were aware I wanted to ask them questions.
“Why is Lady Rosa asking so strangely and nicely to me?” I asked one of the maids who moved close to me and whispered.
“She is well aware of the chances of you being the queen now is a hundred percent and knows you have the authority to fire her at this rate and now has fully changed sides from Lucy to you because all she wants is to work in the palace she doesn’t care what happens to her dignity.” The maid said and I couldn’t help but chuckle loudly before standing up from the bed only to see Lady Rosa coming out of the bathroom. I took my seat immediately and placed a deep frown on my face.
“Is it ready?” I asked and she bowed before speaking. “Yes, my queen.” She replied I stood up and walked into the bathroom and didn’t bother to close the door as I began to throw everything I wore at her and then slammed the door afterward. Was this what it felt like to be adored by everyone…is this how being in power feels?
I couldn’t help but smile to myself as I walked into the hot tub and my nervous system suddenly calmed down, when I turned to look back at the door which was quite transparent I saw her giving commands to the maids as they all went back and forth and I was sure she was trying to make the room perfect before I stepped so instead I took my time, after all I had nothing to worry about…. Isabelle and the others were already far gone and I was just a few weeks away from the coronation.
After having a satisfying bath I stepped out and wrapped the towel around my chest and stepped out only to see the room empty and my dress was already ready with the perfect shoe to go with it.
I took my time to look elegant, this was going to be the first official day I would sit as the queen and I always wanted to look as elegant as possible.
I walked down the hallway to the throne room with my head up high but couldn’t believe who I saw walking up to me with a smile on his face as he talked to someone on the phone and just as he also saw me he ended the call and we bathe walked up to each other.
“Kade? Why are you still in the palace!!?” I yelled but Kade chuckled before moving closer to me till his lips were almost pressed in my ears.
“You can’t chase us away so easily, and we don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.. not until we let the whole pack know you are a witch making use of black magic.” He whispered and that made me so ranged but I held my hand together, I held in all the anger in me.
“You found a way to stay don’t you think? I hope this time around you can stay longer and I can’t wait for you to prove that I am a witch.” I whispered back to him with the same grin on her face, but just as I was about to walk away he pulled me back and slammed me to the wall and just then I’m the memory of my intimacy with Luther came flashing back and I pushed him away almost immediately and was yet about to leave but he pulled me back.
“Let go of me, Kade!!” I yelled hoping to get the attention of the guards but we were in the hallways and no one could hear us.
“You think you can run away from me? Or do you think I am even the least interested in you!! You still disgust me and I only want to warn you on something…you can never find happiness.” He whispered and even though it hurt all I did was fight my way out of his grip and when I was able to push him off of me he said something that stopped me.
“Alpha Federico would kill your mate!!”
