Furious, Johnny walked over to Tilda, with Jake in his arms.
“Why do you keep mentioning Sirena?” he asked.
“It’s the truth. Why can’t I mention it? I hate her, plain and simple. Do I have to lie just to be with you?” Tilda replied.
“You-” Johnny started to say.
She didn’t like him fooling around. Fine! That was something he could change. He could easily cut ties with those old friends of his. After all, it didn’t really matter to him whether he socialized with them or not! But Tilda kept bringing up Sirena!
The deed was done, and what could he do about it?
He admitted that he had been blind to have a crush on Sirena in the past, but he couldn’t rewrite history!
Jake watched the two of them argue back and forth and sensed something was off, so he tentatively asked, “Aunt Tilda, do you dislike Uncle Johnny?”
Without hesitation, Tilda nodded and said, “Yes, I dislike him.”
“But Uncle Johnny is handsome! Aunt Tilda, you’re always staring at pictures of handsome guys and saying you want to marry one. Why do you dislike Uncle Johnny? I think he’s much more handsome than those male celebrities you look at,” Jake said.
Tilda was speechless.
Johnny smirked and rubbed Jake’s head. “Unlike someone, Jake has a good taste!”
“He’s handsome? Jake, didn’t you see his scars? That scar on his face won’t go away for the rest of his life!” Tilda retorted. She couldn’t resist getting into an argument. “Let me tell you, that scar was left by the woman he loved. It’s a lifelong mark!”
“Nonsense! When did Sirena become the woman I love? Tilda, can’t you stop imagining things?” Johnny countered.
“Did I say Sirena is the woman you love? It’s just you who assumed it was Sirena,” Tilda shrugged and held Floyd on her lap. “Don’t waste your time on me, Mr. Chow. Stop pretending and go have fun, but be careful not to indulge yourself too much!”
Johnny narrowed his eyes in anger and took a few deep breaths. “Don’t forget, we still have one last time.”
Tilda’s face stiffened. “Are you crazy? The children are right here!”
“Who brought up this topic first?”
Tilda fell silent.
Johnny smirked. “Let me remind you, until we settle things for good, you better not have any contact with other men. If I catch you doing that, you’ll be in big trouble!”
The implication behind his words was clear.
Just hearing it made her feel a sharp pain in her lower abdomen!
“So if I never settle things with you in my lifetime, am I supposed to stay single for you?” Tilda retorted.
“That wasn’t impossible. There are plenty of women begging me to stay by their side. You’re probably one of them,” Johnny replied.
“Rest assured. I definitely won’t be one of them,” Tilda said.
Tilda despised those women who, despite having already broken up, continued to cling on and make a scene, desperately trying to win their partner back!
She was always able to let go! When she was with her ex-boyfriend, she loved passionately and purely like a woman in love would-she would even act cute and clingy. But when she found out he was cheating on her, she immediately packed up her things and moved out of his place without wasting a minute. She blocked him on social media and cut off all contact. Even though he had pleaded for reconciliation for over half a year, she remained unmoved and didn’t change her mind.
She had no tolerance for messy relationships whatsoever!
