Rosalind didn’t answer.
Unexpectedly, Ulric didn’t press her for an answer either. Perhaps, he already had an answer in his heart.

Even if Rosalind hadn’t asked Tilda to tell him, Malcolm knew that this day would come sooner or later.
After all, the children weren’t his own, and Ulric couldn’t let him stay with them forever.
In a few hours, Rosalind and Ulric would be landing at the airport in Northville City. Malcolm looked at the two children in the living room, who were dressed up and ready to go to the airport, feeling indescribable emotions.
Tilda was playing and laughing with them. When she looked up, she happened to catch her cousin’s expression.
“You two keep playing. Aunt Tilda needs to talk to Uncle Malcolm about something.”
She patted Floyd’s head and then walked towards Malcolm.
“Malcolm, are you feeling uneasy?”
Malcolm’s thin lips twitched. “Will you believe me if I say I’m fine?”
“It’s okay! Rosalind will be back in just twenty more days! Once the video is restored by B7, Rosalind will sue Ulric’s mother and Sirena.”
As a rival in love, Malcolm should be happy about this news.
But it filled him with worry.
“Rosalind will be in danger.”
“Yeah, I told her! When we were in Sweden, I really wanted to persuade her to consider giving up. She’d better forget about it altogether and move forward. After all, now she has Ulric by her side protecting her. Even his parents can’t harm Rosalind anymore.”
Malcolm sighed and interrupted her before she finished speaking, “Rosalind won’t agree. Her mother meant everything to her. However, she passed away so suddenly.”
Rosalind worked hard, studying while working multiple jobs and enduring many hardships, all to earn money for her mother’s treatment and cure her. It was Rosalind’s persistence and obsession deep in her heart!
She watched her mother undergo surgery, believing she would finally get better, only to receive news of her sudden death… No one could accept that.
She had to avenge her mother’s death.
“But people can’t ruin their life because of hatred, right?”
Malcolm looked at her seriously and asked, “If it were you, would you let the murderer get away with it?”
“No.”
Tilda would go to any lengths to make the murderer pay, too.
“And there’s a difference between Rosalind and you. She grew up without a father. Her mother was the only one who cared about her. For her, her mother meant everything.”
“That’s true. You made me consider from a different perspective, and now I understand Rosalind.” Tilda frowned. “Ulric’s parents are truly despicable! If it weren’t for this situation, she and Ulric-”
She paused and said, “I’m sorry…”
Malcolm glanced at her and smiled. “It’s okay. I know she loves Ulric.”
“Malcolm…”
“Ulric has done so much for her. It’s only natural for Rosalind to fall in love with him.” Malcolm didn’t harbor resentment. He just regretted not getting to know Rosalind sooner. “That day when I learned that Ulric would risk his life to save Rosalind, I knew I had lost completely. There was no chance of winning whatsoever!”
If he were a woman, he might have fallen in love with Ulric.
Being loved so passionately, devotedly, and selflessly… who wouldn’t be moved?
“Considering Ulric’s status and position, it’s hard to imagine that he secretly loved a girl for over ten years. Tilda, I truly admire him.”
