Chapter 63
I turned sharply to where the voice came from and saw Lucy walking towards me and Thomas in rage.
“I see she got you under her little spell now huh? You want to help her suck the pain away?” She asked Thomas.
Thomas stared at her surprised at her reaction, she had never acted that way toward him.
“Is that a bad thing to do, she’s hurt can’t you see?” Thomas asked Lucy while he rubbed my palm gently.
“Shh you’ll be fine okay” he whispered to me with a slow smile and I nodded.
I turned to Lucy who was standing in front of us, irritated by how Thomas was treating me.
Her face was filled with rage as she stared at me.” you think you can just steal anyone you want, right Azalea?” She spat her words without a second thought about my feelings.
I was confused about what she meant and what scene she was trying to cause this time cause I’ve never had any confrontation with her for the past few days so I didn’t quite understand why she had so much anger in her.
“You are nothing but a cheap whore trying to get into every man’s bed in the palace. You are so cheap!” Lucy added.
“What!?” Thomas asked.
“Yes that’s the truth Thomas and the earlier you understand this the better it’ll be for the entire clan,” Lucy said.
“You are not satisfied with one man, are you?” She asked me who was just standing there lost in my thoughts.
I felt my blood leave my body slowly, I didn’t know what to say to Lucy.
I had no energy for any sort of argument, I had no energy for Lucy.
Lucy never thought about people when she spoke, her words always found their way through my soul.
I wanted to defend myself so badly but I didn’t have any words left in me to give.
“I wasn’t trying to seduce anyone, run along Lucy, I do not have the energy for this right now” I responded.
“I’m sure you’re not blind and you can see that Thomas is just trying to stop my pain,” I said and signaled Thomas to continue.
He was about to when Lucy walked up to us, pushed my hands away from his and stood in our middle.
“Oh really?” Lucy said, her voice filled with sarcasm.
“You expect me to believe that pathetic lie you just cooked up,” Lucy said and folded her arms.
“You are nothing but a cunning whore, you’ve managed to get into Alpha Federico’s bed and spread your cheeks in his face. Now you want to do the same to Thomas!?” She shouted.
I stood there looking as tired as ever, I didn’t have any stamina for her.
“My stepson is off limits to you!” She screamed, her voice echoing through the palace walls.
I felt tears hanging in my eyes, this is not how I pictured this moment with Thomas.
I only wanted help and now I’m being accused of being a whore.
I felt completely torn and helpless hearing all those words from Lucy.
I decided to defend myself because it looked as if Lucy was enjoying my silence way too much.
“I swear, I only came___ but Lucy cut me off as her voice got louder “I don’t care what you say “Lucy snapped.
“Hold up Lucy, what’s all this about?” Thomas shouted at her, pulling her back from me.
“Who is your step son and why are you making this a big issue!?” He asked.
“Can’t you see what Azalea is up to?”
“Doesn’t it bug you that she shares a bed with your dad?” Lucy asked Thomas as her eyes widened in rage.
I watched as Thomas paused for a moment, obviously her words were getting to him.
“I see how you look at him, but this time I am one step ahead of your evil plans,” Lucy said, turning her head to me.
I was completely speechless, I had so much to say but I couldn’t find the strength to. After all I’ve gone through these past few days, I felt so alone and lost.
The tension in the room was strong and I felt as though the walls were going to collapse on me, I was slowly suffocating.
I tried to reason with her but she wasn’t having it.
Her voice grew louder and louder and I immediately knew her plan, she wanted Alpha Federico to hear our voices.
Her plan worked perfectly as I saw the angry-looking Alpha walking into the hallway.
“What is going on here? He demanded.
“Why the loud noise?” He asked with a cold voice.
Thomas was about to respond to his questions when he angrily cut him off.
“Lucy, care to explain?” He asked.
I saw the excitement in her face as she walked up to him and held his arm.
“I will gladly tell you Alpha Federico,” she said as she explained everything to him but it was not in my or Thomas’s favor.
“Father It’s not what you think, Lucy misinterpreted the whole thing,” Thomas said trying to explain himself but before he could finish his sentence alpha Federico interrupted him again.
“You are such a disappointment!” Alpha Federico shouted.
I saw Thomas’s face grow red as if he was punched in the gut.
I saw the guards and maids gathered staring at the scene being displayed and all this was because of Lucy.
I hated her with my guts.
I watched as Lucy looked at me and smirked wickedly. She was so satisfied with herself and what she managed to pull off.
Anger was building inside me as I watched Alpha Federico and Thomas exchange words violently.
“ENOUGH!!!” I shouted and my fangs popped out as hair started feeling hair pass through the lower parts of my belly.
I roared and it was so loud, like none that I’ve ever done before.
I immediately got a hold of myself and everything in my body went back to its rightful state.
All eyes were on me, I stood mute.
