ANASTASIA
“ANNA!” Cassandra called out my name, running up to me for a hug.
Diego and I came downstairs to welcome our guests, who sat in the living room, gawking at the place.
I saw the way Casey hovered her eyes around after seeing the height of Crescent Alpha’s mansion. It’s way bigger than Damian’s.
“I love your… Place,” She hesitated, glancing around again before facing me with a smile.
Diego welcomed Damian, who kept a straight face like one who came for a serious business.
I bet he wants to die after seeing Diego’s home. He’s no match for my Alpha Lord.
“It’s nice to have you here. Please, come with us,” Diego said, about taking hold of my hand. Only for my stepsister to step in hurriedly, taking Diego’s hand instead!
Brat! I glared at her.
She gave me a smirk and said, ” Relax, your highness. I’m not stealing him away. I just want to be closer to my brother in-law. Is that too much to ask?”
She clinged nearer to my Alpha, and ran her hand on him.
The sight of her closeness to him made me angry from within. But on seeing Diego’s smile, I cooled my temper and went along with Casey’s action.
“You’re funny. I know you can’t steal him away. Unless you want the guards to wipe you out before you even cross the door,” I laughed, indirectly passing a message to her.
She giggled and wrapped her arm around Diego’s, calling me hilarious. “You are full of surprises, sweet sister,” She chuckled, staring at me.
I returned the gesture with a forced grin.
“I can see how much you sisters love yourselves,” Diego said, patting my stepsister on the hand.
When he did this, it looked like he had located a melt switch in her body because of her reaction. She bit her lip seductively, acting too sweet with him.
“Of course we do, Diego. You should have seen us back then. Gosh, we were like twins!” Diego walked ahead with Casey, while I followed from behind, trying to keep my distance away from her husband.
He has been acting serious ever since he arrived.
I was beginning to like this silent side of Damian when suddenly, he showed his true self again!
He squeezed my behind and tried to pull me closer to his body!
“Let’s get along, Anna,” He whispered, repeating his action on me for the second time.
With force, I dragged myself away from him and rushed in front of Diego and Casey.
Alpha Lord saw when I walked ahead, speedily. Seems he already got a clue on what happened at his back.
At the dining, Diego made the couple feel poor when he presented them with dishes beyond their imagination.
So what if Damian is an Alpha? He can’t pull off this amazing service hosted by Diego.
Back then when I was still his mate, Damian has hosted different dinner with my family, and it’s not up to this treatment he’s receiving now. Even the first doesn’t come close to it.
The service from the servants got Cassandra glancing many times at Damian, probably passing a message to her husband to take note of all the things they don’t have.
My anger had mellowed when I saw their faces. I was filled with pride.
“I am marveled by your hospitality, Alpha Diego. This is indeed a feast,” Damian commented, keeping his composure.
Before Diego could respond to what he said, Casey interrupted by speaking about the past when I was still blind to the truth.
“Our father always throws this kind of feast for the family. It became an everyday theme for us. Do you remember Anna?” She giggled.
I hummed with a nod, attending to my meal. That’s when she scared me with her next words.
“I told Mom about you and she was so happy. She wanted to tell father but she said he went on a business trip. We’ll, I said it’s best If I do the talking when he gets back. I bet he’ll be stunned to hear that you’re alive,” She smirked, putting her spoon in her mouth.
I grabbed Casey’s intention. She’s trying to make me feel unhappy.
Hiding my feelings, I asked, “Is it a must that you tell him yourself? You said you told Mom already, so let her do the talking.”
“Why? Can’t I tell our father that I found the daughter he disowned in a man’s arms? ” She blurted out rudely and began acting innocent when she saw how I gazed at her in shock.
“Oh, I didn’t mean it that way. I’m so sorry sis,” She apologized, pretending to feel guilty over her action.
Gosh, I hate her!
She brought back memories of father’s harsh words when he kicked me out of the house and his life, breaking all ties with me.
Casey wants to add salt into my wound, just because I’m living the life she never wanted for me.
“I don’t know why I said that. Seems you didn’t tell…” She directed her eyes over to Diego and gasped out.
“Forgive me, Alpha. I thought she told you about this. I accidentally…”
“You’re a funny lady, Cassandra,” Diego interrupted, reaching for my hand. “What makes you think Anna would keep such a thing from me?” He questioned, lifting his brow at her.
Cassandra’s face froze with a stiff smile. She glanced at us and reminded Diego of his words from that night. “But I thought you knew nothing about her past? You clearly said you didn’t want to hear anything about it.”
“And so you felt telling me would what? Make me mad?”
“No, of course not! I can’t do such a thing. It… It was a mistake!” Casey lied, thinking we’re fools.
But she’s the fool here.
Diego caressed my hand, calming my anger. I felt okay and said confidently to Miss Wrecker before us, “Are you sure? It sounded like you wanted him to burst out or something.”
“Come on Anna, don’t misinterpret things here. You know how silly I can be, right?” She smiled, looking at Damian.
“Isn’t that right, dear?” She asked, expecting a back up from her Alpha, but Damian completely made a fool out of her.
He said, swaying his head,” Even if you’re loose-tongued with your mouth, do you have to make it your hobby?”
“Damian,” Cassandra’s smile vanished. She gazed at her husband in shock, as he used her own plans against.
She could no longer look at me. Her own Alpha just shunned her up!
“Anna already said there’s no need to tell her father, so why did you have to remind her about the past?” He questioned, getting mad at her.
This looked so good to be true. Since when did Damian and Casey start having problems in their marriage?
And not just that, Damian is fighting in my favor me?
Now this scenario brought back my boldness. I no longer felt upset with Casey’s words.
Damian told Casey to apologize to me and I immediately intervened like the saint I am, saying, “Why are you scolding her, Damian? She only made a mistake. Quit bullying my sister.”
Casey lifted her gaze when I referred to her as my sister. It must have felt like a knife to her chest.
With a smile, I said to her while drawing closer to Diego, “It’s okay if you accidentally blurted out my past, sis. Diego already knows. I didn’t keep anything hidden from my Alpha.”
My face was turned over by Diego, who gave me a smirk and openly kissed me in front of Damian and Casey. I wasn’t expecting it, but it helped in calming every troubling feeling my step sister had planted in me.
“You know I don’t care about that, Anna. I’m only interested in our future,” He said, caressing my cheek.
His tenderness almost made me melt. I felt my body reacting to Diego’s sweet touch, making me slid my hand down from his chest to his cock, rubbing that beautiful spot with my strokes.
Maybe Casey and Damian noticed what was going on, because the couple decided to head back to Wolf Blood pack, claiming to have something doing.
Instead of escorting them, Diego called in a guard and said, “Please help our guests out. I hope to visit your place one day when I’m free, and enjoy your hospitality. But for now…” He lifted me into his arms, romantically. “I have something else to attend to.” He smirked, taking me out of the dining room.
I was moved by Alpha Lord’s action. He rescued my heart from being shattered by that witch.
Holding him lovingly, I drew my face closer and locked my lips with his, feeling that savory juice within him.
When we got to the staircase, I spotted Damian and Cassandra staring at us while heading for the entrance.
The intense jealousy on their faces showed it all. Their plan to ruin things for me has backfired.
“Okay now. You two can enjoy yourself,” Cassandra said out loudly when Diego climbed the stairs.
Not to be rude to our guest, Diego turned around to respond back, while I waved my hands at them, running my lips on my Alpha’s neck.
Taking a peak at my stepsister and her husband, I was satisfied.
They couldn’t stand this intimacy between Diego and I. They had to leave to wash out this romantic moment from their memories.
“Shall we?” Diego asked, holding me comfortably.
I smiled at him and nodded.
“I’m sorry about that. Next time, she won’t have the guts to speak ill to my sweetheart.” He flirted, caressing me with his lips.
I gasped out, unable to hold myself any longer. Looking at the nearest room, I said, “Let’s go in there now. I can’t wait anymore. ”
“Okay,” He whispered, fulfilling my wish.
Cassandra got to me. She made me feel the pain of that night, reminding me of my beloved father.
My old man doesn’t know what his second wife and step daughter are doing behind his back. They are the reason behind our separation.
All he needs to know is the truth, and that will bring us closer again.
I really miss my father.
