“How’s father?” Cassandra asked her mother while welcoming her into my mansion.
I followed them from behind, feeling annoyed with this woman’s presence.
“Your father is doing well, my dear. He wanted to come along with me to see you, but he has to attend to an important work. He’s traveling soon, ” Linda shared, stepping into the living room with her daughter.
We all sat down together while mother and daughter spoke. Now I was beginning to wonder where the ‘US’ is in this meeting Casey spoke about.
“So, did you tell him about Anastasia? What was his reaction?” Cassandra gave out a sinister smile, craving to hear of her father’s reaction towards the news of Anna’s appearance.
But Linda hummed and gave her a disappointing reply. “I didn’t tell him about her. Do you want to make him lose focus on his work?”
“But Mom, you know he needs to hear the truth about his so-called favorite child! Let him know what she’s doing!” Casey vented, displeased with this.
She crossed her arms angrily and spoke about Raymond’s behavior after he disowned Anastasia. “Even after she left, he still hasn’t gotten over that brat. I told you what he did that night at that party. He was rethinking his decision, making plans to head out and find her!”
“Calm down, my dear. That doesn’t mean I’ll interrupt his plans for this week. When the time is right, I’ll tell him, ” Linda said, placing her hand on her daughter’s shoulder to subdue her rage.

“Yes,” Linda nodded.
But things felt confusing to me. If Anna’s still untouched, then that incident at the lift.
Not sure of which is right, I told Linda and Cassandra about what happened.
“If he’s aware of the danger that substance projects into one’s body, then he won’t have made love to Anna in the lift.”
“What are you saying?” Cassandra asked, looking stunned with what I just said.
“Last night, I saw Anna rushing into the lift. She was reacting to the infection. Diego also followed her inside and suddenly there was an announcement of the lift shutting down due to some technical issues.”
Both mother and daughter stared in surprise, glancing at each other.
“They were inside that elevator and I know there was no technical problem. He was doing it with her.”
“Oh… Then this opens a different story entirely,” Linda said, looking quite disappointed with this report.
Cassandra looked more unhappy. She just gazed at me like I’ve committed a crime by not telling her this.
“If he’s sleeping with her then he’s infected. And that clears him from being the suspect.”
“But… Still…” Casey stammered, frowning at this. “That doesn’t prove a thing. He must have found a way to calm her body without actually doing it. That’s also something,” She brought in her own opinion.
Linda hummed and said, ” I won’t lie to you, I am quite confused about that man. He’s sleeping with her, he’s doing something to please her… Which one do we believe?” She looked at me, shrugging.
I was also confused as well. What if I was wrong about them having sex in the lift?

“What about Anna? What are we going to do about her?” Cassandra asked, showing her desperation in getting rid of her step sister.
Linda honestly said to her, ” That’s something I’m still bothered about. The Slut is in the care of that Alpha. If we want to make sure she doesn’t come back into your father’s life or amount to anything good in this life, then we need look for a way to separate her from Diego.”
“Once Anna and Diego are apart, we can get our hands on her. Then she’ll become a thing of the past, ” Linda chuckled along with Cassandra.
